Proofs That You Love God

How sure are you of your love for God? Many Christians claim to love God but their words and actions say otherwise. However, it is not difficult to tell those who truly love God because as the scripture says in Matthew 7:20, "by their fruits you shall know them." This post gives you the signs that show that a particular person truly loves God.

These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me - Matthew 15:8 (NKJV).

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him - John 14:21 (NKJV).

God knows those who truly love Him and it's also evident to people if they care to watch out for the words and actions of the person(s) in question. Love is a visible virtue that is expressed in words and actions.
This post came as a result of a teaching from Pastor David Oyedepo Jr.

PROOFS OF YOUR LOVE FOR GOD

If you love God, you will:

1. Love His words and keep them - John 14:21
You will be delighted to hear the word of God and do them. Obeying God will be a thing of joy; you will always want to please Him. It will not be a struggle for you to obey Him.

2. Seek His kingdom - Matthew 6:33
You will find yourself putting God first in everything you do. You will have passion for the affairs of the kingdom, like soul winning and intercessory prayers. You will be delighted to be involved in any activities that bring glory to God.

3. Love His house - Psalm 122:1
Just like you look forward to visiting someone you love in his or her house, you will be glad to go to church and be in God's presence. You will not need to be coerced to attend church services, because to you it's an opportunity to visit His house and have fellowship with the Lord. It will not be a routine for you but a delight. This Child Jesus?

Another season of celebrations has come, it is Christmas celebration time! It is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but then, who is this child Jesus Christ? Many people just love Christmas time but they don't really know the child that was born that precious day and why it is so important to keep remembering the day He was born, about 2000 years ago. This post aims at telling who this Jesus is.

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace - Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins - Matthew 1:21 (NKJV)

But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals - Revelations 5:5 (NKJV)

I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star - Revelations 22:16 (NKJV)

Christmas celebration is more than feasting and visiting loved ones, however, the reason for the season is often ignored. There is power in acknowledging the baby Jesus. When you do, you encounter Him and the power He carries.

A child is born in the house of King David, what is special about this particular baby? He came with a specified mission from God and when He completed it He was no more, because the completion required his death on the cross. Read more...

The Power and Blessings of Sacrifice

Are you a beneficiary of sacrifice? Sacrifice is not easy to engage in, yet it is the key that unlocks many gates to people's deliverances and blessings. It is one of the secrets of supernatural breakthroughs. This post gives a summary of the power and blessings of sacrifice, most of which is from a teaching by Bishop David Abioye on the "Force of Sacrifice." I believe it will minister to you as it ministered to me.

Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him - Psalms 126:5-6 (NKJV).

Sacrifice is done in tears and in pain but the person engaging in it reaps in joy and bountifully. The returns are normally fearful because they are beyond what can be explained by the human mind. It is God's ordained gateway to a new dawn, glorious beginnings and series of breakthroughs.

What is sacrifice?
It is giving out things that are precious and valuable to you; it talks about the cost and not the volume, the quality and not the quantity of what you are giving. Furthermore, sacrifice is parting away with your goods with weeping. The process is painful but gainful at the end.

Benefits of the altar of sacrifice
  1. It reverses curses (Genesis 8:20-21)
  2. It is the altar of enactment of covenant (Psalm 50:5)
  3. It is the altar of termination of plaques (2 Samuel 24:22-25)
  4. It is the altar of supernatural turnaround (1 Kings 17:8-16)
When to sacrifice
  1. Whenever things look tight (1 Kings 17:8-16)
  2. When God instructs you to do so (Genesis 22:1-3)
  3. When you are delightsomely prompted to do so (1 Kings 3:3-5) Read more...

Why Be Destroyed When You Can Make A U-Turn?

How often do you take wise steps? Every step you take always mars or destroys you; it never leaves you the same. But the good thing is that there is always an opportunity to retrace your steps if you are on the wrong path. This post encourages you to promptly make a u-turn any time there is a demand for it.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death – Proverbs 16:25 (NKJV).

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed – Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV).

Many people would rather choose to be destroyed than admit they were wrong. This is only pride aiming at their destruction and they are allowing it. Surely, whatever they are trying to run away from will only last for a short period compared to the gravity of the consequences of their wrong decision or step. However, there are some people who would rather damn the consequences of admitting that they are wrong than to continue on the wrong path. This is wisdom coupled with courage and the fear of God.

A wise man said no matter how far you have gone on the wrong path, any time you realize it, just make a u-turn. There is a way that seems right to man, but the end thereof is death (Proverbs 16:25). Make a u- turn any time you realize you are on the wrong track and save yourself from untold havoc. Delaying to turn will cost you, while not turning at all will lead to destruction. Don’t think about what people will say, they are the ones who will also blame you when you are destroyed; rather consider what God will say. Read more...

Eleventh Hour Action For Breakthrough

What can you possibly do at this time of the year to provoke divine intervention? The year seems to be rounding up and you are yet to receive your heart desire from God, don’t worry I have good news for you. God, who created the entire world and everything within it in six days, is able to meet your needs even now. This post emphasizes on what action to take at this eleventh-hour for your breakthrough.

Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Psalms 103:1-2 (NKJV).

Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him - Psalms 67:5-7 (NKJV).

Many people have great expectation for this year and are yet to see the fulfillment of them. Some of them have given up and are offended in God, murmured and complained. This attitude will not get your desired blessing; instead it will complicate matters for you. However, there are others who are still expectant and will hold on to the end. They are persuaded that God is able to fulfill His word in their lives (Romans 4:19-21). Are you one of these latter people?

What to do at this time?

1. Count your blessings and name them one by one
As the song writer Johnson Oatman stated, you need to count your blessings and name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done. People focus on one or two things they desire from the Lord and then, forget the ones God has been doing for them daily and the additions He added without their asking for them. They are sad and depressed, yet they are heavily blessed but they can't see it. Read more...

The Lord God Is The Supreme God Who Should Be Feared

How powerful is the Lord God to you? What is He to you? How you know and see God determines how much you will believe and trust in Him. God is the “I AM THAT I AM” (Exodus 3:14). This post tells you that God is the supreme God and you should fear Him.

He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]–yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end – Ecclesiastes 3:11 (AMP).

I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him. That which is has already been, and what is to be has already been; And God requires an account of what is past – Ecclesiastes 3:14-15 (NKJV).

Scientists have tried to unravel all that God created, to explain creation and give reasons and processes for everything God created. However, they can only go to the level for which God allows them; the rest they cook up stories and expect people to believe them. Interestingly, or should I say unfortunately, some people believe their stories.

Ecclesiastes 3:10-11 make it clear that the labour of men is the task that God gave men to occupy themselves with, and they can never unravel God’s plan or work from the beginning to the end. Nothing can be added or removed from what God has done; and nothing is new on earth, everything came from what has been (Ecclesiastes 3:14-15). This is so that men should fear before God.

But what do you see: many people have no fear of God, instead they fear men and the devil that manifests himself in different forms. People take the mercies and grace of God available through Christ (Ephesians 2:7-8) for granted. They forget that though He is love (1 John 4:8), He also is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). Jabez Prayer-Prayer For A Change

Do you desire a change in your life? A change is possible if you will believe God for it. God's thoughts for you are for good, to give you a future and an expected end. However, when life is different from God's will for you, you will need to ask Him for a change. This post uses Jabez prayer to encourage you to go for a change in life where you need it.

Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested - I Chronicles 4:9-10 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it - Proverbs 10:22 (NKJV).

A wise man said, "What you don't want, you do not watch". If you desire a change in life you need to do what needs to be done for the change to be realized. Some people need a change of name for things to change in their lives. However, most of the others, if not all, need to pray like Jabez prayed for a change to come.

Jabez was named so by his mother because she bore him with sorrow. Jabez means “sorrowful or sorrow-maker.” This meaning kept speaking in Jabez's life though he was more honourable than his brethren; he was causing pain and making people to sorrow (1 Chronicles 4:9-10). But one day, he desperately asked God for a change in life. He asked the Lord for His blessing, enlargement, His presence and protection from evil, and God granted him his request. Jabez's prayer was a comprehensive prayer that covered all areas of his life.

When the Lord releases His blessing on you, it makes you rich all round and adds NO sorrow with it. Jabez's prayer for God's blessings took care of the sorrow in his life. In other words, he asked God to break the hold of his name in his life and God answered him. This blessing also includes healing, total health, long life, fruitfulness and provisions.

He asked for enlargement of his territory: increase in what he commands and possesses. This can be related to business, financial and career breakthrough. He didn't want to remain a 'nobody' or a mediocre, but a person of substance. Enlargement of territory can also be seen as multiplication of persons in his family, thereby leading to expansion of his borders. Read more...

A Change Within Births A Change Outside

Do you desire change in your life and circumstances? If so, there is a place to start and that is within you. A change within you will give rise to change outside you. As such, your tomorrow depends on your thought patterns. This post emphasizes the need for renewal of the spirit for a better life experience.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law - Galatians 5:19-23 (NKJV)

The battles of life are won or lost within. Your thoughts concerning God, your neighbour, community, business, finance, health, success and life generally determine what happens around you and how you respond to it. You are a product of your thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 says that as a man thinks in his heart so is he. However, you need the right spirit within you to order your thoughts aright.

Galatians 5:19-23 list the manifestations of both the flesh and of the Spirit. A close study of it shows that when you have the Spirit of God in charge of your thoughts you won't manifest the works of the flesh. The question then is “do you manifest the fruit of the Spirit in your life?” The fruit of the Spirit will not allow the flesh to manifest its evil acts. Jesus Christ admonished the Pharisees to first cleanse within the cup and platter, so that the outside of them may also be clean - Matthew 23:26. In essence, we should cleanse within us so that our outside will be clean also.

The right spirit will give rise to the right thoughts, which will ultimately determine your words and actions - the very pillars of your life and destiny. You will find yourself thinking only on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, and on things that have virtue and are praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Read more...

Fire On The Altar Part Two

How do you know if the fire on the altar of your heart is still burning? Many people put on the fire but fail to maintain it, and so allow it to go out. When this occurs, the evil beasts don't waste time in attacking to ensure that the fire is never put on again and to eliminate the harm the Christian would do to them should he or she be on fire again. This is a warning to you that you must keep the fire burning on the altar. It must never go out.

Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality - Romans 12:11-13 (NKJV).

Sign of fire on the altar
Romans 12:11-13 describes a believing Christian whose fire never goes out. He or she is not lagging in diligence, is fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. He or she rejoices in hope, is patient during tribulation, steadfast in prayer and is good in meeting the needs of others and given to hospitality.

How to keep the fire burning
It is important to take the responsibility of maintaining the fire on the altar of your heart. How much effort you put into it determines how bright and fierce the fire would be.

1. Word study
The wood on the altar (Leviticus 6:12) represents the word of God. You are expected to keep putting wood into the fire so that it will keep burning. How much of God's word inside of you determines how bright and fierce your fire will be. You are to study the word of the Lord to show yourself approved of Him, to be a worker who doesn't need to be ashamed, but rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

2. Ceaseless prayers
You are to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This keeps the fire burning. A wise man said that a man of prayer is a man full of power. This truth, the enemy knows and will do anything to keep you from praying. Paul in Ephesians 6:18, while listing the whole armour of God, included praying always with all kinds of prayer. It is wisdom to pray without ceasing to ensure that you are always covered from the evil beasts. Read more...

Fire On The Altar Part One

How bright is the fire on your altar? Every believing Christian is expected to be on fire for Christ. The level of the fire on your life determines your level of relationship with God and where the enemy places you on the hierarchy of authority and dominion. This post explains the need for fire on your altar.

And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out - Leviticus 6:12-13 (NKJV)

God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29) and wants us to be on fire for Jesus. A Christian on fire is a ready vessel in the Lord's hand, a true ambassador of Christ and a terror in the camp of the enemy. The Almighty hates lukewarmness, He would rather have you cold (Revelations 3:15-16) so that He can help you to become hot. It pays to be on fire for Jesus.

Where is the present-day altar?
In the days of the Old Testament, an altar is any structure on which offerings or sacrifices are burnt, situated in the temples. It is a place of worship unto the Lord. Since the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, animals are no more being sacrificed on altars. However, at salvation, you become the temple of God, with the Holy Spirit dwelling in you (1 Corinthians 3:16-17), as such the present-day altar is built in your heart.

The fire must not go out
In Leviticus 6:12-13, God instructed that the fire must never be allowed to go off on the altar. You being the priest (Revelations 5:10) must ensure that you burn wood on it and that the fire is always burning on it. It is your responsibility to put on and maintain the fire on the altar. God says that it must never go out. Read more...

Be A Product Of Your Product

Are you a marketer of Jesus Christ? Are you a product of your product? It is one thing to preach Christ and another to be a product of what you say about Him. This post encourages you to be what you preach and teach for lasting effect on your hearers.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature - Mark 16:15 (NKJV).

And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ - Acts 5:42 (NKJV).

The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed - Luke 4:18 (NKJV).

You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men - 2 Corinthians 3:2 (NKJV).

In the course of a seminar for my new healthy beverage business, I learned that I should be a product of my product. While pondering on this, it was laid in my spirit that we believing Christians should be products of Christ that we preach.

It is easier to sell your products when you are a testimony of how good your product is. People tend to believe you and buy your product when you share your testimony of the product, especially when they can relate with your former situation. This principle also applies when you market Christ as Lord and Saviour. You make stronger impact when you practice and are what you preach. Read more...

Benefits Of Partnership With God

What will you gain partnering with God? It is great wisdom to partner with God. Everyone with the goal for a prize from God commits God with partnership in His kingdom work. Wonders never end when we are in partnership with God, you enjoy fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore in the Lord's presence. This post gives the benefits of working with God.

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him - John 14:21 (NKJV)

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore - Psalms 16:11 (NKJV).

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one - Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV)

God has work to be done on earth and is looking for who to partner with Him to get the work done, and has promised to bless such a one with great blessings ( Exodus 23:25-26). The instructions the Lord wants you to carry out are all written in His word, they are the commandments that if you love Him you will keep; then, God will manifest Himself to you for carrying out His instructions.

Your love for souls of men and you loving what He loves proves that you love Him, which will provoke His manifestations in your life. These manifestations of God are the benefits you enjoy for partnering with The Lord.

The Benefits

1. It empowers a Christian believer to be more than a conqueror.
When you love God by keeping His commandments, you will be loved by Him, and He will cause you to be more than conquerors through Him who loves you (Romans 8:37). Troubles will tremble at your presence when His presence is with you. Read more...

It Takes Grace to Obey God

Are you struggling with obeying the Lord? The proof of your love for God is your obedience to all His instructions. However, obeying Him totally is not an easy thing considering that you engage your flesh in a battle in the process. This post states the grace of God as a requirement for obeying the Lord all the time.

So he answered and said to me: this is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts – Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV).
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me – I Corinthians 15:10 (NKJV).

Many Christians truly desire to obey Christ all the time but they are weak when it comes to contending with the desires of their flesh. The good they desire to do, they find themselves not doing; but the evil they don’t want to do, they find themselves doing. However, the good news is that through Jesus Christ you can overcome this battle (Romans 7:15-25). Jesus gives us the grace (John 1:17) to obey the word of God.

You cannot by yourself obey God, for it is not by your might nor power but by the help of the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6), which comes in the form of the grace of God. Grace is an unearned, undeserved favour of God. It enables you to do what you normally or ordinarily would not be able to do. Read more....

The Love Of God-My Greatest Asset

What is your greatest asset? What do you cherish most? Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:21). Your success in life is determined by your most important asset. In this post I share my greatest asset-the love of God.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16 (NKJV).

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things – Romans 8:32 (NKJV).

We love Him because He first loved us – I John 4:19 (NKJV).

The love of God is the reason I can face tomorrow. I am aware that His love for me will see me through the day. If God did not spare Jesus for the love that He has for us (John 3:16), there is nothing that He will not freely give or do for us (Romans 8:32).

Why the love of God is my greatest asset

1. Fear is destroyed.
When I remember that God loves me and will not allow any evil to come upon me, every form of fear disappears (1 John 4:18). God is the Almighty God and every being and thing bows before Him, including whatever is causing fear in me. God’s love gives me the assurance that I am covered.

2. Peace
Peace floods my mind and spirit when I meditate on my Father’s love for me, no matter the challenge that wants to disturb me (Isaiah 26:3). His love gives me an overcomer’s mentality, which dominates any thought contrary to what God says concerning me in His word. Read more...

Go For Light

Are you faced with a challenge that you don't know how to solve? Every problem has a solution and every question has an answer. Your creator has envisaged every challenge that you will ever have in life and has written out the solutions to them in His manual called the bible. Therefore, it is left for you to search the manual for the solutions to the challenge. This post emphasizes the need to go for light in God's word that will help you overcome the challenges in your life.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path - Psalms 119:105 (NKJV).
And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it - John 1:5 (NKJV)

Every challenge or problem in your life is darkness and will be destroyed by light any time, any day and anywhere. Darkness can never stop light from overcoming it. Any time you shine light in darkness, it always gives way to the light (John 1:5). The brighter the light the further darkness gives way to light. Darkness can only bow to light, not to your crying, shouting, murmuring or complaining.

Light shows you where to put your feet and shows you what your path looks like (Psalm 119:105), thereby helping you to make the right decisions concerning the path before you. It informs you on whether to continue on that path or not, and if you are to continue the places to step on. Light helps you not to stumble on the way (Proverbs 3:23) and helps you to see the details you wouldn't see without it.  It also shows you the things on your way that will help you tackle the problems that you meet there. Engaging The Power Of God Through The Altar Of Prayer

Do you desire to see the power of God manifested in your life? God releases His power to whosoever is able to tap into it. The power of God makes a great difference between success and failure. This post declares altar of prayer as an altar for engaging the power of God.

And it came to pass, at the  time  of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “ LORD  God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that  I have done all these things at Your word. Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench – I Kings 18:36, 38 (NKJV).

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him – I Samuel 1:10, 27 (NKJV).

Many Christians shy away from praying yet it is a channel for tapping into the power of God. Prayer gets you on the same frequency with God Almighty, grants you audience with the Lord and gives you the opportunity to make your request known unto Him (Philippians 4:6). The scripture says ask and it will be given to you (Matthew 7:7), and it is in prayer that you ask and receive.

The power of God subdues the enemy and so you need it to subdue the enemy. It is said that a prayer-less Christian is a powerless Christian. In prayer, you are empowered to enforce the will of God in your life and you provoke the intervention of heaven on your behalf.

Any Christian who is not interested in much prayers is not interested in seeing much of God’s power in his life. The more you pray the more you are exposed to the Lord’s power in manifestation. Your desired change will come via the altar of prayer. Read more...

Going Back To the Base!

Back To the Base!
The Word of God is real!
I know it and I believe it.
How I pray that it will be established in all areas of mine life NOW!
Unfortunately, it is not so.
I have to patiently wait for its manifestation in my life, having done the will of God (Hebrews 10:36).
The scripture says, “Having done all, to stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13)
But then, have I done all?
This I wonder!
So, I go back to the base: Word Study.

The Word of God reveals the will of God for me and shows me how to access it (1Corinthians 2:9-13).
I reach out for it and it seems far-fetched.
I ask myself, “is it really for me?”
Then the Holy Spirit reminds me that God has given me richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).
Why am I not getting them?
So, I go back to the base: Word Study.

I realize that I need to grow my faith in God (Jude 20),
I need to walk in absolute obedience to God (Deuteronomy 28:1-2),
I need to walk in love (Ephesians 5:1-2) and
I need to be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
How do I go about these?
So, I go back to the base: Word Study.

Prepare To Be Used Of God

Are you a vessel of honour or dishonour? Are you prepared to be used for every good work? God is looking for those who are ready for the work He has at this time. However, many people are not consciously preparing for it. This post tells you about preparing to be used of God.

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work – 2 Timothy 2:20-21 (KJV).

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man – Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV).

Many believing Christians give their lives to Jesus Christ and stop there. They do not purge themselves nor prepare themselves for God to use them. They forget that the whole duty of man is to obey the commandments of God.

The Creator of the whole universe works on earth through men; some to honour and some to dishonor. What each one is used for is determined by the state of the individual. For believing Christians, God ordained them as vessels of honour, but each person ultimately decides what he or she is used for by the level of preparation he or she makes.

The kingdom of the Almighty is not meat and drink, but peace, righteousness and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). Some Christians want Christ and the devil in their lives at the same time, this however cannot be; you either serve the Lord or mammon (Matthew 6:24). God Almighty-Your Ultimate Backup in Battle

What do you trust in in times of warfare? Is God your backup in battle? Battle in life is a reality and one should prepare oneself to win at all times.  The forces that are for you determine your failure or success in life. This post emphasizes God as the ultimate backup in the battles of life.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31(KJV).
And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them – 2 Kings 6:16(KJV).
Every day, people face one battle or another, whether in their minds or physically. However, whether they win or lose is determined by what they trust in, what is backing them up. People depend on so many things, which can be categorized under three forces: man, devil and God. Each force has a level of power and authority, but the ultimate is God.
MAN
Man is greatly limited in his ability to save, help or deliver. He can only help based on what power and authority he has and how long he can hold unto it. He becomes stronger if he is connected to either God or the devil. Also, his inability to live (Psalm 37:2) forever limits him greatly.
DEVIL
The devil had authority and power over man (due to the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, Luke 4:6) until Jesus defeated him on the cross. Now he only has authority over unsaved souls and saved souls that are ignorant of who they are in Christ.
GOD
God is the creator of the universe; He created both the devil and man. In addition, He lives forever, which enables Him to decree a thing and ensure it is done. He is the Almighty and every other thing is subject to Him. He is the Beginning and the Ending (Revelations 1:8) and what He says stands. It is therefore wisdom to connect with this God who is all and all. Read more...
