Hi, Jesus is forever on the throne.
The end of a year opens up for a new year. It is exciting and full of great expectation for some people but for others, it is full of uncertainty and crowded with fears. Many start the New Year with enthusiasm but end the year disappointed. However, this will not be so when there is adequate preparation.
A new year is a time for a new beginning and a fresh start. As the word “New” implies, the year had never been and surely no subsequent one will be the same with it. The past year may have been full of challenges and disappointment but you need to let them pass with the year. Start afresh and expect a most fruitful new year.
In this article, I give 7 simple steps to prepare for a fruitful new year
1. Evaluation
Every athlete takes a step backwards in preparation for a speedy take off. It is also necessary to take a look back into the preceding year in order to gain momentum for the New Year. Evaluate your actions and results, learn from your mistakes and move on. Examine your victory steps and gain more understanding.
2. Thanksgiving
Count your blessings, name them one by one and give glory to God. Even if the year went sour compared to your expectation, there are certainly many things to thank God for if you will take a moment to think. Thank God for the past year and the New Year. God is the author of the New Year and knows the end from the very beginning. Thanksgiving unto God moves Him to act on your behalf.
3. Expectation
Your expectation will not be cut off, what you expect is what you get. So, put down your expectations for the New Year. Write down both short and long term expectations that are achievable. This gives you targets to aim at and it turns on your creative ability. Read more...

Two Powerful Tools for Child Training
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it- King Solomon. Bring up children, though not an easy task is a must for all parents and guardians. And the quality of the product of a child training is dependent on the method and tools used in the process.
Every responsible parent desires to see his/her children grow up into responsible and respectful adults. They want them to be successful, secured and balanced in life. They want their children to make them proud and not bring shame to them. These are beautiful and achievable dreams but can only be realised with the use of these two powerful tools: Love and Control.
Bringing up children requires that you employ 100% of love and control. Implementing more of one than the other will produce an unbalanced adult. Many disciplinarians tend to use more of control and those that are more liberal tend to use more of love. These practices will affect the way the child thinks, talks and behaves.
A child brought up in an environment full of love will feel secured and will have no need to seek love outside the home. The terrible thing about going outside the home is that he/she may run into the wrong hands, people who will lead them astray and make them to be rebellious.

The Role of Jesus Women in the Ministry
Hey! Jesus loves you And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him. (Genesis 2:18, KJV). God created women to be helpers fit for various needs of man. Jesus women were help meets indeed in Jesus Ministry. The women role and contribution in His ministry added to the fulfilment of His assignment on earth.
Jesus visit to earth started with a woman, Mary, who was a virgin and strong believer of God’s words. She believed the seemed impossible case by man’s standard and was used by God to birth His plan for man’s redemption. Not much was mentioned of Jesus father but Mary, the mother of Jesus was totally involved in Jesus ministry. She initiated His first miracle (turning of water into wine) at the wedding in Cana of Galilee, John 2: 1-11 and she followed Him up to His death and resurrection.
Jesus women ministered to His needs. Though Jesus was anointed, He still needed to take care of his flesh to be able to operate on earth. The women took care of His food and I believe His wears also, out of what they had. They used their money to serve Jesus.
Some of these women, including Mary Magdalene, Joanna and Susanna (Luke 8:2-3), were healed of evil spirits and infirmities. They became followers of Christ and showed their appreciation by ministering to His needs. Read more...

How to Forgive Someone and Forget
“You will know that forgiveness has begun when you recall those who hurt you and feel the power to wish them well.” Lewis B.Smedes. To some people, learning how to forgive someone is one thing and to forget is another thing. But the truth is that when you actually forgive, and you remember the incidence later, it will be with no pain/hurt attached.
Unforgiveness imprisons a person and yields the person over to the control of the offender. The consequences of not forgiving, is too costly for anyone to consider harbouring it. Forgiveness on the other hand is the best revenge; it really provokes anyone who offends on purpose.
Steps on how to forgive someone
· It takes humility- Without humility, true forgiveness is impossible. Our pride is usually what is wounded when we are offended. Overcome pride and forgiveness is easy. So, if you are struggling with unforgiveness, check your pride, it may be the obstacle to your victory.
· Ask for divine help- Sometimes, you really want to forgive and forget but the hurt is so deep and may be you are still physically suffering from the result of that offence, there is need for you to ask God to help you forgive the offender. God is ever ready to help us when we reach out to Him for help. Remember Jesus too had to forgive us all our sins and He remembers them no more. Read more...

Understanding the Deadly Force of Unforgiveness
Everyone often gets the opportunity to be mistreated, hurt, annoyed but what you do afterwards is what matters. Life is too short to allow this deadly force called unforgiveness to ruin it for you. “The hatred you’re carrying is a live coal in your heart – far more damaging to yourself than to them” Lawana Blackwell
To err is human; to forgive is divine, they say. But we have been given the power to forgive. The power of forgiveness is awesome because of the immense benefits to the one who forgives. It is all about what you want in life and how far you want to go. Unforgiveness is a force that has the power to influence, affect or control you and your future negatively.
When a person understands the effect of this deadly force, a red light flashes on the heart when unforgiveness comes knocking on the door. This force is so deadly that it has ruined many relationships, careers, businesses, led many to their sick beds and many to their early graves.
Why you must resist unforgiveness
· It gives your offender the power to hurt you-Any time you remember the offence or see the person or even hear his/her name mentioned, you will get angry or be emotionally worked up. And if the offender is aware of this effect on you and he is a bad one, he may choose to add to the injury with more offences.
· Your health is affected-When your anger is boiling; it increases your heartbeat, tightens your muscles, and causes aches and pains. And may lead to more serious medical issues if not checked on time. Read more...

7 Benefits Of Quiet Time
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” Matt 6:33 (KJV). You are a product of what you do daily. Having daily quiet times with God is the best investment into your all round success in life.
Quiet time is the time you spend in God’s presence, reading His word and praying. It is a time you shut down every other thing to focus on God. It is a time to fellowship with God and enjoy the Father-Child relationship. You rub mind with the Most High God during your time with Him. His virtues rub off on you and you start becoming like Him. That means you become more and more successful as you spend more time with the God of success. Isn’t that great!
Now, let’s look at how Quiet time affects your all round success in life.
Benefits of Quiet time
1. Wisdom- “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise...” 2 Tim 3:15 (KJV). Many of our problems are purely wisdom problems. You acquire wisdom on how to go about every aspect of your life, how to enjoy a successful marital and family life, success in business or career, total health, etc. For instance, Proverbs is full of practical wisdom nuggets for all round success in life. Furthermore, during prayers God drops the wisdom on how to handle any issue bugging you.
2. Knowledge-“Call unto me, and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” Jer 33:3 (KJV) Quiet time enables you to gain knowledge from the creator of the whole universe. Yes, even that thing that is like a mystery to you!
3. Understanding- Have you ever gotten to a point where a thing is like parable to you? All that gets sorted out when you spend time in God’s word and in prayer. “But only with God are perfect wisdom and might; He alone has true counsel and understanding” Job 12:13 (AMP) Read more...

Man’s Relationship with God
Hi Jesus loves you
“What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of (earthborn) man that You care for him”, Psalm 8:4. (AMP) God’s relationship with man is very important to Him. Man’s daily walk is a reflection of his relationship with God, whether good or bad. An understanding of God’s view of this connection will affect man’s way of life.
God instituted this relationship with man. He made man in His own likeness. (Gen 1:27). Man was created to be like God, think, speak and act like Him. Man was to have total dominion on earth while God rules in heaven. (Psalm 115:16) Also, He created man to fellowship with him. Gen 3:8 makes us to understand that God would come and fellowship with Adam in the garden in the cool of the day.
This relationship of God with man is motivated by His love for man. Even when Adam and Eve sinned, He still made a better covering (coats of skin) for them than the apron of fig leaves they made for themselves. (Gen 3:7, 21). And to express how much He loved man and desired a restoration of the kind of relationship He had with Adam and Eve, He gave His only son, Jesus Christ for mankind. (John 3:16)
Man violated this fellowship with God when Adam disobeyed God and obeyed the devil. (Gen 3:11, 17) Unfortunately people still disobey God and obey the devil, thereby affecting their relationship with God. Our fellowship with God is determined by how much we love Him and obey His Word. (John 14:23) The level of obedience to God created two categories of people with different levels of relationship with God- the people of the world and the believers (John 14:17-24) Read more...

Confessions-Untapped Key to Success in Life
Have you been working very hard with no success in view? You have done all you know but the key to success seem to be missing. I have good news for you today; the untapped secret of success in life is confession. Confessions are like mortar binding up all your effort for speedy results.
Mark 11:23 tells us that we shall have what we say. In other words, we attract what we say to our lives. The things we are experiencing today are results of the things we said yesterdays. Also, our faith increases or decreases with what we say because faith comes by hearing. The more you keep hearing a particular thing the more you believe it.
The question now is what confessions are you to be making?
Many people work hard with their minds and hands, even with their resources but destroy all with their mouth. You need to change your words if that describes you. Learn to say ONLY what you want to have, no matter what the circumstances around you are screaming. Read more...

What You Need To Know About Hatred Venom
Can you imagine what snake venom can do to a human being? Not what you want to see or experience! Hatred venom is worse than snake venom. It not only affects the victim but grossly affects the carrier of the venom.
Unlike the snake venom, the giver suffers more than the receiver. The receiver may not even be affected if he has a good understanding of his position in Christ and has a good attitude to personal attacks. But the giver will be slowly eaten up just like the snake venom travels slowly through the body.
Hatred affects the heart bit and if not checked will develop into terminal diseases and sickness like cancer. It destroys relationships, businesses and destinies. In addition, Hatred stirs up quarrels or strife, provokes enmity between two people or groups of people. It makes the hater to act irrationally and it wears down on the heart and mind until neither can function at full capacity. Read more

The Power of the Tongue in Pulling Down Mountains and Stronghold
Imagine a person with a gun in his hands wailing because a lion is coming towards him to kill him! Pathetic, right? But this is what many Christians do when the enemy is oppressing them. We have the weapon of warfare, the power of the tongue but we do not consider it powerful enough to deliver us. The truth is that you can defeat the devil, mountains and stronghold anytime, anywhere with your tongue.
"For I have given you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist" Luke 21:15 (KJV). Here Jesus endorses the power of the tongue. No matter what the enemy may be telling or showing you, when you open your mouth and declare God's word against it, you will overcome.
It may look and sound so simple but it is very powerful. We exercise our dominion with our words. Words declared in faith are able to pull down mountains and strongholds. The enemy is always talking to us through our thoughts and what we see and hear. We must learn to answer back immediately with spoken words.
Now let's look at another scripture,
Mark 11:23 says, " For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be though cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall whatsoever he saith." (KJV)
These mountains which include sickness, poverty, failure, etc, have ears and can hear your commands. As soon as they hear you, they shall obey you and fade away. Psalms 18:44-45. They are still there because you have said nothing! Open your mouth wide and God will fill it. Psalm 81:10 Read more...

Sermon: How to Be a Neighbour
Man is made both to be a neighbour and to have neighbours. No man is an Island. For man to survive and operate successfully on earth, he must relate with people effectively. True enjoyment in life involves being a neighbour and having neighbours.
The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (6th Edition) defines a neighbour as:
Firstly, a person who lives next to you or near you;
Secondly, a person or thing that is standing or situated next to another person or thing
Thirdly, a neighbour (literary) can be any other human being.
On the other hand, the scriptures, in addition, describe a neighbour (I will refer to this description in this post), as a person who renders help in any form to another person in need.
Now to continue in this sermon, the text is taken from Luke 10:25-37.
In this passage, Jesus tells a story to answer the question “Who is my neighbour?” He tells a story of a man who was attacked by thieves, wounded and left half dead. A priest and a Levite came and passed by him. However, a Samaritan came and had compassion on him, he bound up his wounds, and took him to an inn, and took care of him. Before departing in the morning, he gave the host some money to take care of the man and promised to reimburse the host, at his return, of any additional expense he may incur in the process of taking care of the injured man.
