Do you speak life or death with your tongue? Many people talk without thinking, and by so doing, heap the very things that they don't want upon their lives. However, taking time to think before speaking will help you to choose the right things to say per time. Truly, death and life are in the power of the tongue.

 

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV).

 

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live - Deuteronomy 30:19 (NKJV).

Introduction

Many of the challenges people have are because they spoke death over their lives or families. And interestingly, this effect still takes its toll on the person(s) even when they really didn't mean it. Also, people carelessly make exclamations of death just because it's slang, yet it speaks in their lives. For instance, people say things like, "It bored me to death" or "He makes me sick". However, ignorance is not an excuse, for you will eat the fruit of your lips. This is why you must make sure that you don't speak anything associated with death but life.

It's Your Choice

You're made a creature of choice. And God has set life and death before you, so choose life that you and your family may live. So, every time you want to say anything, consider your options well to ensure that you chose life. Truly, your today's events are the results of your choices yesterday. Therefore, be slow to speak but quick to hear.

 

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath - James 1:19 (NKJV).

Life is in the power of the tongue

Now that you know you can speak life as well over your life and reap its fruits, consciously choose things associated with life and continuously say them. For example, speak success, breakthrough, good health, victory, abundance, and blessings. Introduction

Your tongue is a powerful part of your body that determines to a great extent what becomes of you. This is because life and death are in the power of the tongue, and you will eat well by its fruit if you engage it properly. So, consciously engaging the tongue positively will yield bountiful positive results to you.

 

The Challenge

Many people toil day and night and don't receive the corresponding results. Also, they cry, pray and fast, and the challenges won't go away. Rather, the problems multiply and get complicated. Yet, in most cases, the solution lies in the use of the tongue. But many people lack this knowledge. For God had clearly stated that man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth. So, don't mess around with your tongue, for, you're responsible for the outcome of your tongue.

God has given you a mouth with which you decide what happens in your life and lives of your loved ones, especially your family. Wisdom demands that you use it consciously and wisely. Then Isaac trembled exceedingly, and said, "Who? Where is the one who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I have blessed him— and indeed he shall be blessed" - Genesis 27:33 (NKJV).

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and wise people use it to enjoy the life in it. You are to a great extent product of words spoken over your life yester-years by you and your loved ones who had authority over your life, mostly your physical and spiritual parents. At the same time, your tomorrow will be determined by the words spoken over your life today. Therefore, there is need for you to consciously choose your words and refute negative words spoken over your life. When you have an understanding of this, you will need to also apply it over your loved ones.

Many Christians by the grace of God are now consciously keeping their mouth from speaking death over their families, but are yet to consciously speak life over them. Taking Delivery Of Your Blessings Through The power Of The Mouth

What do you say with your mouth? Your tongue forms your future and so should be wisely used. However, many Christians are not harnessing the power of the tongue for their benefits. This post stresses the importance of taking delivery of your blessings through the power of the tongue.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says - Mark 11:23 (NKJV).

Many Christians are crying and getting depressed over things they have the power to change. God has made provisions for His children to take delivery of their blessings, inheritances in Christ. Unfortunately, many of them are not taking advantage of these provisions. They would rather murmur and complain. One of such provisions is the tongue.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue and those who know how to harness the life will eat its fruit, while those who harness the death will eat its fruit also. So, like Joshua said choose life that you may live (Deuteronomy 30:19). Be careful to keep your tongue from speaking the wrong things that you may enjoy life (Psalm 34:12-13). Choose to consciously use your tongue to create the future you want.

The scriptures says in Mark 11:23 that if you don't doubt in your heart but believe that those things which you say will come to pass, you will have whatever you say! You have to start saying what you want, not what you have that you don't want. Also, you have to BELIEVE that whatever you are saying will come to pass. God's people are destroyed or frustrated because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) or because they have refused to do as the Lord had instructed.

God says, "Open your mouth wide and I will fill it". The children of Israel refused to obey this instruction and God couldn't subdue their enemies nor turn His hand against their adversaries (Psalm 81:10-14). Read more...

The Power of the Tongue in Pulling Down Mountains and Stronghold

Imagine a person with a gun in his hands wailing because a lion is coming towards him to kill him! Pathetic, right? But this is what many Christians do when the enemy is oppressing them. We have the weapon of warfare, the power of the tongue but we do not consider it powerful enough to deliver us. The truth is that you can defeat the devil, mountains and stronghold anytime, anywhere with your tongue.


"For I have given you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist" Luke 21:15 (KJV). Here Jesus endorses the power of the tongue. No matter what the enemy may be telling or showing you, when you open your mouth and declare God's word against it, you will overcome.

It may look and sound so simple but it is very powerful. We exercise our dominion with our words. Words declared in faith are able to pull down mountains and strongholds. The enemy is always talking to us through our thoughts and what we see and hear. We must learn to answer back immediately with spoken words. 

Now let's look at another scripture,

Mark 11:23 says, " For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be though cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall whatsoever he saith." (KJV)

These mountains which include sickness, poverty, failure, etc, have ears and can hear your commands. As soon as they hear you, they shall obey you and fade away. Psalms 18:44-45. They are still there because you have said nothing! Open your mouth wide and God will fill it. Psalm 81:10 Read more...
