Open Your Mouth Amazingly Wide And God Will Fill It

Is your mouth open and filled by God? This is a simple instruction from God which many Christians are not obeying. Yet, it's an avenue by which God shows Himself mighty and faithful on our behalf. So, in this post, you're encouraged to open your mouth wide and God will fill it.

I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. “But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me. So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, to walk in their own counsels. “Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries. The haters of the LORD would pretend submission to Him, but their fate would endure forever. He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; and with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you - Psalms 81:10-16 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

Introduction

Your victory in life lies in the use of your mouth. It is a tool that God uses to bless us when we use it as He specified. However, many people don't enjoy the use of their mouth because they use it as they like, following their own counsel. But when you open your mouth wide God will fill it and you will be full.

What Does It Mean To Open Mouth Wide And God Will Fill It?

This is to boldly declare God's word at all times and to ask whatever you want from God. Certainly, to close your mouth is to shut down your destiny. And God is more than able to do whatever you say in faith. So, don't say or ask for small things, rather boldly ask for big things in faith? Therefore, opening your mouth wide to call forth your desires in Christ will attract answers from the Lord.

Why should you open your mouth wide?

  1. It is God Almighty who said you should open your mouth wide. Surely, He's not a small god; rather He's the one who brought the Israelites out of Egypt with outstretched hands. And He wrought great signs and wonders in Egypt that couldn't be replicated.
  2. For Him to subdue your enemies and turn His hands against your adversaries. God is waiting for you to declare His word against your enemies for Him to carry it out. But, when you keep quiet, you give Him no opportunity to fill it and use it against your enemies. Read more...

Open Your Mouth Wide And I Will Fill It Praying In Tongues

Do you know how to enhance your prayers for greater results? Not knowing what and how to pray to get God’s attention is challenging, especially when you think you have prayed all you know to pray. However, the good news is that there is a solution to it, which is to pray in the Spirit. This post aims at telling you how to open your mouth wide praying for a change.

I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it – Psalm 81:10 (NKJV).

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God – Romans 8:26-27 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

The Challenge

Many Christians struggle with what to pray to receive answers to their problems. Also, sometimes they wonder if they have prayed well enough for God to answer them. Certainly, it is quite challenging especially when they need the answer urgently.

The Solution

Every challenge has a solution in God, and in this case, praying in the Spirit is the solution. This is allowing the Holy Spirit to pray through you, because He makes intercession for you according to the will of God (Romans 8:27). Also, He utters words which your mind can’t understand (1 Corinthians 14:14), as such making it difficult for any interference. However, God who searches the hearts knows what the Spirit is saying. And because the Spirit prays according to the will of God, the Lord hears the prayers and definitely releases the answers to you (1 John 5:14-15). Read more...

Open Your Mouth Wide And Enjoy Triumph And Blessings

How much power of your mouth are you enjoying? Life and death are in the power of the tongue and you will eat the fruit of it (Proverbs 18:21). Understanding the power that lies with your mouth will deliver you from troubles and release your blessings to you. This post encourages you to effectively use your mouth for your good, open your mouth wide and say what you ought to say to enjoy triumph and blessings.

I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. But My people would not heed My voice, and Israel would have none of Me. So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, to walk in their own counsels. Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries…He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; and with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you – Psalm 81:10-16 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

God, the only wise One, gave the children of Israel a wisdom word for their triumph and blessings, but they rejected it. They chose to walk in their own counsels and not the Lord’s way. This led to them being in want and subjected to defeat by their enemies.  What was the wisdom word from God? God said, “Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.” God is saying the same today to you.

To shut your mouth is to shut down your future or develop a stunted life. Your mouth determines what comes to you on daily basis. The words you speak are seeds that will germinate to produce fruits (Proverbs 12:14). Bad seeds will produce bad fruits and good seeds will produce good fruits. When you are generous with planting good seeds, you will get bountiful harvest of good fruits and vice versa, so also, when you are generous with speaking the right words, you will have bountiful harvest of victories and blessings. Taking Delivery Of Your Blessings Through The power Of The Mouth

What do you say with your mouth? Your tongue forms your future and so should be wisely used. However, many Christians are not harnessing the power of the tongue for their benefits. This post stresses the importance of taking delivery of your blessings through the power of the tongue.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV).

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says - Mark 11:23 (NKJV).

Many Christians are crying and getting depressed over things they have the power to change. God has made provisions for His children to take delivery of their blessings, inheritances in Christ. Unfortunately, many of them are not taking advantage of these provisions. They would rather murmur and complain. One of such provisions is the tongue.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue and those who know how to harness the life will eat its fruit, while those who harness the death will eat its fruit also. So, like Joshua said choose life that you may live (Deuteronomy 30:19). Be careful to keep your tongue from speaking the wrong things that you may enjoy life (Psalm 34:12-13). Choose to consciously use your tongue to create the future you want.

The scriptures says in Mark 11:23 that if you don't doubt in your heart but believe that those things which you say will come to pass, you will have whatever you say! You have to start saying what you want, not what you have that you don't want. Also, you have to BELIEVE that whatever you are saying will come to pass. God's people are destroyed or frustrated because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) or because they have refused to do as the Lord had instructed.

God says, "Open your mouth wide and I will fill it". The children of Israel refused to obey this instruction and God couldn't subdue their enemies nor turn His hand against their adversaries (Psalm 81:10-14). Read more...

Maximizing The Blessings Of A Name

Do you have a good name and desire that its meaning be fulfilled in your life? Every good name has the potential to deliver what it carries to the maximum point, but how much of it you can get depends on what you do with the name.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says - Mark 11:23 (NKJV)

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist - Luke 21:15 (NKJV)

The key to the flow of the blessings of a name is the tongue. Those who use their tongues wisely eat life and blessings. Our victory and success in life have a lot to do with our mouth and the level of wisdom we apply in its use. Luke 21:15 implies that when you use your mouth and the wisdom of God, all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist you or what you said.

Your mouth is the gateway to your life and destiny; with your mouth confession is made unto salvation - Romans 10:10. You confirm the meaning of your name with your mouth. God admonished in Psalm 81:10-14 that you should open your mouth wide, so He can fill it and subdue your enemies. Until you open your mouth wide and declare the wisdom of God, your future that your name prophesies about will only be a dream. A closed mouth is a closed destiny - Dr David Oyedepo.

Wisdom for maximizing the blessings of a name
  • Call it out
God says in Mark 11:23 that you will have what you say. As often as you call out the name, you are calling out the blessing of that name upon the bearer. The prophecy in the name will come to pass as you affirm it with your mouth. Continuous calling of the name even when circumstances surrounding the bearer are saying otherwise forces the person's life to align according to the meaning of the name. Read more...
