Examine Yourself - Are You Poor Before God?

What is more important-how people see you or how God sees you? Many people are desperate to be wealthy but are not even concerned about how God sees them. They forget that He made them and that He will be there on judgment day. This post emphasizes the importance of being rich before God.

Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' - and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and hasten. Therefore be zealous and repent - Revelations 3:17-19 (NKJV).

Many people are doing so many things to be rich. Some are actually overworking themselves and some are into dubious things, while others are into Christian activities just to have God prosper them. You need to always remember that money is not everything.

Is it wrong to be rich? Not at all. God says that He takes pleasure in our prosperity (Psalm 35:27) and that He is the one who teaches us to prosper (Isaiah 48:17). He also wishes above all things that we prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper (3 John 2).

However, the question is, "how does God see you?" He said in Revelations 3:17-19 that those who thought they were rich were actually poor, wretched, miserable, blind and naked! Are there no rich persons before God? Surely, there are many people who are rich before God. What makes them different from other wealthy people is their garment and where they got their wealth.

It is important that you get your wealth from God and more importantly that your garment is white. Your stand with God is the ultimate determinant of how God sees you. Without a white garment, you are naked before God and amounts to nothing. Your garment has to be spotless, without wrinkles nor blemish (Ephesians 5:27). Read more...

Jesus Christ-Answer To All Your Questions

What questions do you have that are bugging you? Where will you go first to get answers to those questions? Where you get your answers determines what you know, believe and do. People have received answers from the wrong sources and these have cost them a lot, sometimes their lives. This post emphasizes Christ as the answer to all of your questions.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life...” – John 14:6 (NKJV)
When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking – Luke 5:4-6 (NKJV)

People have a lot of unanswered questions and unsolved challenges that are weighing them down. Some questions can’t be disclosed by the individuals. Some people are even afraid of the answers they may get. To have questions or challenges is normal; the issue is where you get your answers or solutions.

Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE! If you are looking for a way to or out of a thing or situation, Jesus is the answer. And if you desire to know the truth about anything, Jesus is the answer. Also, if you desire a thing or situation to come alive, Jesus is the answer.  There is nothing hard or difficult for Him. There is no impossible case with Him (Luke 18:27).  Jesus is the answer for the world.

God, creator of the world, has a manual for the world and so has the answers to all of your questions and has positioned Christ as the channel to them (John 14:6). Anybody who bypasses Christ is bypassing his answer and ultimately his joy, peace and victory.

You may have gotten somewhere without consulting Jesus, however, if you had consulted Him you would have been farther than where you are presently. Nobody can tell you better than your maker. People’s experience or suggestions can never be compared with God’s answers. The Lord Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end (Revelations 1:8). He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). Therefore, there is no question you will ask Him that He doesn’t know the answer. Read more...

Money Is Not All In Life, God Is All In All!

What place does money have in your life? Does it dictate your peace, joy and how you walk in love? God desires that you prosper but not at the expense of His relationship with you and the work He has for you. Money is not everything; it is God who is all in all.

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life (1 Timothy 6:17-19, NKJV).

People do so many things for the purpose of getting money at the end. Many people actually do the work of God for what they can get from God, most of the time all the desires translate to desire for more money.  You should beware of love of money, which is the root of all evil, (1 Timothy 6:10). Your trust should be in God who gives you ALL THINGS TO ENJOY. All the Lord is asking for is that you make Him number one in your life and He will give you all things to enjoy.

Focusing on what you can get from God denies you of the blessing of a wonderful relationship with God.  Money is not all in life. God is awesome when you truly get to know a bit of Him. As you deepen your relationship with the Lord, He reveals more and more of Himself to you. THERE IS MORE TO GOD THAN YOU HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD and we can only know Him in part (1 Corinthians 13:9). He is magnificent and endearing! The people who have seen Christ want to see more of Him and those who have seen a glimpse of heaven want to quickly go there.

Why would you chase the shadow when you can have the real thing? God is the source and giver of enduring riches. When you have Jesus you have all.  It is God who teaches you to profit (Isaiah 48:17), so no doubt, God wants you to have money but not more than you want Him. He said in Matthew 6:33 that you should seek first the kingdom of God and every other thing will be added to you. Read more...
