Money Is Not All In Life, God Is All In All!

What place does money have in your life? Does it dictate your peace, joy and how you walk in love? God desires that you prosper but not at the expense of His relationship with you and the work He has for you. Money is not everything; it is God who is all in all.

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life (1 Timothy 6:17-19, NKJV).

People do so many things for the purpose of getting money at the end. Many people actually do the work of God for what they can get from God, most of the time all the desires translate to desire for more money.  You should beware of love of money, which is the root of all evil, (1 Timothy 6:10). Your trust should be in God who gives you ALL THINGS TO ENJOY. All the Lord is asking for is that you make Him number one in your life and He will give you all things to enjoy.

Focusing on what you can get from God denies you of the blessing of a wonderful relationship with God.  Money is not all in life. God is awesome when you truly get to know a bit of Him. As you deepen your relationship with the Lord, He reveals more and more of Himself to you. THERE IS MORE TO GOD THAN YOU HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD and we can only know Him in part (1 Corinthians 13:9). He is magnificent and endearing! The people who have seen Christ want to see more of Him and those who have seen a glimpse of heaven want to quickly go there.

Why would you chase the shadow when you can have the real thing? God is the source and giver of enduring riches. When you have Jesus you have all.  It is God who teaches you to profit (Isaiah 48:17), so no doubt, God wants you to have money but not more than you want Him. He said in Matthew 6:33 that you should seek first the kingdom of God and every other thing will be added to you. Read more...

Fear Toward God Not by the Precepts of Men

Do you know God and really fear Him? People often say that they fear God and do otherwise, sing how much they fear God and yet their hearts are far from God. What can be the cause of this attitude of theirs? This post states that fear towards God are not to be by the precepts of men.

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men - Isaiah 29:13, (KJV)

‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ” - Matthew 15:8-9 (NKJV)

The fear you have towards God should not be that of lip service, it should be a genuine reverence emanating from the heart, in awe of Him. It is not the kind of fear that the devil puts on people; it is the kind that comes from an understanding of who God is, His words, love, supremacy and power.

People’s worship and service unto God are not accepted by God because they are mechanical. They do it as they have been taught or as they have observed. They serve or worship God because they are asked to do so. No, it should not be. Read more...

Come And Talk To Me

How will you feel if your son sends people to you every time on his behalf to get an advice, money or help? No parent will be happy if his child can’t come to him freely and make requests or seek for advice.  When there is communication gap, a close relationship will not be in view. Interestingly, like any other father, God desires to have a perfect relationship with His children. He says, “come and talk to Me yourself”.

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword”; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken – Isaiah 1:18-20 (NKJV)

Many people want their pastors or someone they think is religious to talk to God on their behalf. Some would rather read all manner of books or materials, or even go to different places to get answers to bugging questions or challenges, than to go to God. Yet, God is reaching out to them saying, “come and talk to me!”

What is stopping you from going to God in prayer with those issues? He who made ears can hear and He who made mouth can talk. The Lord wants you to come and reason with Him. If it is sin, He says you should come all the same, that the sin aspect will be taken care of. If you say no time is available, I will say that if you can make out time to eat, then you can make out time to talk to your Father.

You are the one who will ultimately benefit most. You get to reason with the only wise God, the creator of the whole universe, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the unchangeable changer, the all-knowing God, the Prince of peace, the great physician, the everlasting Father and the I AM THAT I AM. God has the solution to that issue. If only you will humble yourself and ask Him, the problem will be solved.

Is it wrong to ask someone to pray for you? No, not all but it is not the best now that Christ has come, died and risen again, and is seated at the right hand of God. However, if it is an agreement prayer which is very powerful, it is good because, if two of you agree on earth as touching anything that you will ask, it will be done for you by God who is in heaven – Matthew 18:19.
