Death Has No Dominion Over You

Are you afraid of death? Many people for fear of death have taken wrong steps and decisions, yet death has no power over a Christian believer, except he or she allows it. God promises to satisfy you with long life (Psalm 91:16) and to fulfill the number of your days (Exodus 23:26). This post seeks to free you from the fear of death and its consequences.

And release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage- Hebrews 2:15 (NKJV).

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him – Romans 6:8-9 (NKJV).

Fear of death is a weapon with which the enemy has held many in bondage. Fear of death has caused many to follow the dictates of the devil. Also, people walk about with fear of sudden attack because they are afraid of dying, and as such open the door for the enemy to attack them; for the scriptures say the following: fear has torments (1 John 4:18), your expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18, KJV), as man thinks in his heart so is he (Proverbs 23:7), and you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). When you expect negative things and confess the same, it won’t be long for them to become realities in your life. You need to beware of this temptation to fear death and resist it!

Death the last thing to be destroyed (1 Corinthians 15:26) has no dominion over Christ, and anyone who receives Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour also enjoys same victory- death has no dominion over him. Fear of death is of the devil but the fear of the Lord is life and it turns you from the snares of death (Proverbs 14:27). God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but of adoption so you can cry out “Abba Father” knowing that He is your Sun and Shield (Psalm 84:11), and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). Who then can touch you? If God be for you who can be against you? (Romans 8:31). Read more...

Don’t Toy With What Is Happening Now!

What is your interpretation of the things happening in the world? Your perspective and response to the unfolding events in the world will determine what effect or impact they will have on you now and in the future. This post is a product of insights, reflections and understanding of the message preached by Dr David Oyedepo during the annual gathering of Living Faith Church members worldwide, which was called ‘Shiloh 2016’, and it admonishes that you prepare for your exemption during this dark season.

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee – Isaiah 60:2 (KJV)

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars….For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows – Matthew 24: 5-8 (NKJV).

Darkness is come already. It is gross darkness that is yet to come. If you can’t handle the darkness, gross darkness will overwhelm you. The question that was asked and I throw back to you was ‘what are you doing to be exempted?’ Mathew 24: 5-8 listed certain evil events that will happen before the second coming of Christ and the end of the age (Matthew 24:3). A lot have come and are coming to pass and many more will still come to pass.  Interestingly, Jesus said the list is just the beginning of sorrows. What are you doing to escape these sorrows?

Many Christians don’t read the handwriting on the walls of times, instead they complain, murmur and join the world in reacting negatively. You are to take a different approach and ensure that no matter what happens, it will not come near you (Psalm 91:7). You are not to fear what the world fears (1 Peter 3:14) nor say what they say, instead when they are cast down you are to be saying there is a lifting up (Job 22:29)

A time is coming when there will be no hiding place but in God. You are not to toil with what is happening now. Testimonies are not accidents but raw products of applied revelation. Your exemption will not come out of agenda but according to applied revelation. It is time to fortify your position in Christ and apply the word of God as a lifestyle. Read more...

There Will Be Levels In Heaven

How diligent are you serving God? Are you running to receive a crown or are you beating the air (1 Corinthians 9:24-27)? This Christian race is real and there will be prizes. You are the one that determine your prize. This post stresses the need for you prepare for the level you desire.

Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire – 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 (NKJV).

What do you think? Do you think it will be right to serve God with all your energy, time, money and all (Matthew 22:37) and then come and get the same prize with someone who just made sure he didn’t go to hell? What you sow, you will reap; sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully, sow sparingly and you will reap sparingly (2 Corinthians 9:6). God is a rewarder (Hebrew 11:6), and He is coming with His rewards and He will reward you according to your works (Romans 2:6, Revelations 22:12, Isaiah 40:10, Isaiah 62:11, Matthew 16:27). Brethren, there will be levels in heaven.

Two people will be at the sides of Jesus (Mark 10:35-40), the apostles will be rule over the twelve tribes of Israel (Luke 22:28-30), some will be at the bosom of Abraham (Luke 16:22), some will have authority over ten, five cities, and yet some none (Luke 19:11-27), and some may be door keepers (Psalm 84:10). Some are building with gold, others with silver or precious stones, and yet others with wood, hay, and straw, and the results are all different. Some may suffer loss but they will make heaven. What are you building with?

God's Word Is Simple Because God Is Simple

Are you simple? One of the wonderful things about the Lord is that He is simple, yet He is the Almighty God. Life may be cruel to you but not God. This post aims at encouraging you to learn from God and to be likewise.

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ – 2 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV).

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls – Matthew 11:29 (NKJV).

The world makes things look difficult and hard but that was not how God made it. The word of the Lord shows the true picture of His original plan. And when Jesus Christ came on earth, His life also manifested it - a life of peace that is plain, simple and heart to heart. There was nothing artificial, assuming, complicated, complex or hard to understand about His life. He was there for all and so is His word.

Truly, God is the Almighty, the creator of the whole universe, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Consuming fire, the Lord of host, Mighty warrior, the I AM, King of kings, Lord of lord, etc., but He is also the good Shepherd, the Lamb of God, our Father, the Comforter, our Helper, our Redeemer, the great Physician, the only wise God.

I see a God who has it all (power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing), yet will sit in the field with His sheep all around Him, enjoying His loving touch; a God with whom all things are possible and yet lowly in heart. That is power: having it all but not being managed or ruled by them. Read more...

The Vessels for Signs and Wonders

Why are there no consistent and continuous flow of signs and wonders, miracles like the days of the apostles? God is still the God of signs and wonders today but He is limited by the vessels that carry the anointing. Most of the vessels want to be used, but they are too busy to be used by God. This post aims at redirecting God’s vessels to the most important thing to do to be used of God.

Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work – 2 Timothy 2:21 (NKJV).

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NKJV).

The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord – Proverbs 16:1 (NKJV).

God uses human beings most of the time to do signs and wonders, but when the vessels are not adequately prepared to be used, nothing happens. There are so much physical preparations but little spiritual preparations with church of Christ now. God is the worker of signs and wonders and miracles, but until He does His work, nothing happens in spite of all the physical preparations.

God’s vessels plan, organize, strategize, prepare, spend money, do everything for an event or service to be successful and end it there, leaving out the main worker (the Holy Spirit). They spend a lot of time preparing physically for an event but spend little or no time engaging the worker of miracles. Who will take the glory at the end? God will not share His glory with any other god or man (Isaiah 42:8). Read more...

Are You a Good Shepherd?

Are you a hireling or a good shepherd? It is a great privilege and honour to have people entrusted to one’s care as a father, mother, teacher, pastor, or unit head, etc. However, God expects anyone with such privilege to be a good shepherd. This post is aimed at helping the reader to evaluate his or her leadership position, no matter how small the person considers it to be.

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own – John 10:11-14 (NKJV).

There is excitement for many people when they are made leaders, but many forget that leadership position comes with great responsibility. You may have been made a leader of some person(s) by a man but you were ultimately elected by God (Romans 13:1), and you are accountable to Him. There were other people who desired to be in that position but you were chosen; some may have been more equipped than you were, but you were chosen. Even as a father or a mother, some people long to be one and are still waiting, but you are one already. Therefore, you are not to take your position lightly.

Jesus said in John 20:21 that He sends you even as the Father sent Him. Christ was a good shepherd and He has sent you to be one too. A shepherd has an important role to play in the life of a sheep. This is shown by the fact that once the shepherd is struck the sheep will scatter (Zechariah 13:7). Sheep need the leader to fulfil destiny and God has placed you as one to help the sheep to fulfil destiny. Are you fulfilling this role in the lives of the sheep under you? Read more...

Forgive Them For They Don’t Know What They Do

Are you finding it difficult to forgive? Or what can’t you forgive? Everyone has a seed of forgiveness in him or her, put in there by God. We are meant to allow it to grow and bear fruit. This post uses Jesus as our example to show the root of forgiveness.

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God – Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)

Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots – Luke 23:34 (NKJV).

You have a right to be angry, but do you have a right not to forgive? Jesus, God Himself (John 1:1-14), was crucified by the people He made. They didn’t just crucify Him, they mocked Him in public; put a crown of thorns on Him, whipped Him and forced Him to carry His own cross through the streets; multitudes were watching and making jeers of Him. They stripped Him of His clothes, nailed Him on a wood He made, between criminals (Him being innocent). People watched, mocked and laughed at Him, people He made! Upon all that, His Father forsook Him (Matthew 27:46) because of this same people! Yet, He prayed to His father saying, “Forgive them, for they do not know what they do”. Do you have a right not to forgive?

If Jesus could forgive all that, including your sins and mine, what can’t you forgive? Jesus’ action on the cross was a pure demonstration of the love of God in action, the love that is shed abroad in your heart (Romans 5:5). For the joy of seeing the world reconciled back to God (Romans 5:10), Jesus endured the cross; I encourage you to look unto Him. Read more...

Torment Me Not!

Have you ever wondered why Jesus granted the demons their request in Luke 8:26-39? Do you wish that wicked people will just disappear or be destroyed? As much as one would like that, it happens not to be God’s best for them. This article reveals Christ’s best for them.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me! Now a herd of many swine was feeding there on the mountain. So they begged Him that He would permit them to enter them. And He permitted them – Luke 8:28, 32 (NKJV).

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust – Matthew 5:44-45 (NKJV).

Why would Jesus permit the demon’s request? Jesus granted the demons their request because He is love, He is not them or like them. It is God’s nature to be good. Surely, their time for punishment and torment is certain and will surely come, and anyone who chooses to remain with them will suffer with them then.  However, here Jesus showed us an example to follow. If Christ didn’t torment them, why should we His children ask that other human beings be tormented? This example of Jesus helped me to understand how Matthew 5: 44-45 can be applied to a witch, wizard, or oppressors, etc.

God expects you to be like Jesus: to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. In essence, not obeying this instruction makes your sonship questionable.

You are above those in darkness; you have no need to fear them. They can’t do anything to you. Only those who fear are tormented, for fear has torments and those who fear have not been made perfect in love (1 John 4:18). You are to know the word of God and be prayerful. Be convinced of your position in Christ, knowing that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4); again, if God is for you who can be against you (Romans 8:31). You are to walk in the knowledge of the truth. Read more...

Love God and Hear God

Are you hearing from God? Do you desire to hear from the Lord? This is a good desire but are you qualified to hear from Him? Many people desire to hear from Christ but are not close enough to hear Him even when He is speaking. This post emphasizes the need to love God if you are to hear from God.

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him” – John 14:21 (NKJV).

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God – 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (NKJV).

If you really want to hear from God you have to love Him, that is, obeying his commandments; otherwise, you will hear strange voices. And you will not know His commandments if you don’t know His words. Our Father can never speak anything contrary to His words. If it is not in line with God’s words, it’s not Him.

Many people claim they want to hear from God, but they are not ready to obey Him. The Lord won’t reveal things to you if you don’t love Him – 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. He has so many things to say to His people, unfortunately, very few are ready to hear.

When your heart is for God, you will naturally desire to please Him, and as you do so He will keep telling you other things He would want you to do for Him. He will speak to you through His words and as you get to know His written word, you will be able to recognize His spoken word when He speaks. Read more...

Miracle Working God-The Alpha and the Omega

Do you know the reasons why God is a miracle working God? One important reason is that He is the Alpha and the Omega! An understanding of this truth will increase your faith in God and you will see more miracles in your life. This post explains more of God’s position as the Alpha and the Omega.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” – Revelations 22:13 (NKJV)

But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid: only believe, and she will be made well.” – Luke 8:50 (NKJV).

God does great signs, wonders and miracles. He did so many miracles in the bible and He is still doing great miracles today; things that can’t be explained by any human reasoning. And one attribute of God that makes this possible is the fact that He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. All starts and ends with God, He has the final say!

What does this mean? It means that even if that case looks as a closed case, it is not actually closed since it has not reached the end of your life or tenure, or of the world. If your faith is intact, it is not over until God says it is over. One thing is sure; the end will be in your favour.

Let’s consider a few examples: Sarah had long passed the age of giving birth, but she gave birth at the word of God. Her case seemed closed but not with God (Genesis 21:1-7); same with Hannah, Elizabeth and many other women and men that have similar testimonies. Also, Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den that should have been death for him but God didn’t say so, and he came out alive. But immediately his enemies were thrown in, their case was closed by God (Daniel 6). The three Hebrew boys had similar testimony too; they were delivered from a fiery burning furnace. They came out alive, with no smell of smoke on them (Daniel 3). Also, Joseph went from pit to prison, but he still got to the palace (Genesis 50:15-21).

What of Peter and Paul? Peter was put in jail to be brought before the people after the Passover, the faith of the disciples was up and God sent an angel to deliver him (Acts 12:1-12). Paul was stoned and dragged out of the city, his enemies thinking he was dead; but he got up and walked away (Acts 14:19-20).  Read more...

What Is Your Worth As A Christian?

Are you a believing Christian? Do you feel cheated because you are saved? Some Christians sometimes feel they are missing out something because they are saved. This I attribute to lack of knowledge, because if you know who you are in Christ, you will be on top all the time. This post aims at painting a picture of your worth as a Christian.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; - 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother - Matthew 12:50 (NKJV)

How will you feel if you are the child of your boss, or the president's child, or the King's child? Touch not? Take some time and consider the privileges you would be enjoying and then imagine you as a child of the Almighty God (the overall Boss).

However, many Christians have not realized this truth, that you are the overall Boss' son or daughter! You are a royal priesthood, His own special person and the apple of His eyes, (Deuteronomy 32:10, Zechariah 2:8). God's people are truly destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). When you understand who you are in Christ, your response to things and circumstances will be different.

Jesus said that once you are doing the will of God, you are His brother or sister or mother, which means the privileges He has you also have. IT IS THE TRUTH. The challenge some Christians have is that they don't believe it and they can't imagine it. Note that God says what He means and means what He says.

Elijah walked in this truth. In 1 Kings 18:20-40, when there was a contest between Elijah and servants of Baal, Elijah told God to send fire down that the people would know that He is God and him the servant of God and God answered. Another time in 2 Kings 1:1-15, King Ahaziah sent soldiers to go and bring Elijah to him. Read more...

Who Are You Following?

Where are you going and who is guiding you to the place? Some people know where they are going but are following the wrong guides. It is one thing to know where you are going, and another thing to know how to get there. This post emphasizes the importance of following the right guides.

And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left – Isaiah 30:20-21 (NKJV)

Prepare your outside work, make it fit for yourself in the field; and afterward build your house – Proverbs 24:27 (NKJV)

He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed – Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV)

It is vital that you discover God’s plan for your life and equally important to know who will guide you to your destiny. The path you want to tread, some persons have gone on it before and were successful. Isaac Newton made us to understand that if we have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants. You need to find the giants, and it should not be any person but the people God ordained to guide you.  So, just like you received your purpose in life, go back to God and ask Him who you are to follow.

God promised in Isaiah 30:20-21, that your teachers will not be hidden from you, they are there to tell you which side to turn to per time. They can do this face to face, or through their books, CDs or live teachings. They are not far from you, so find them. Where you are going is glorious and you must get there. Read more...

The Power of My Spiritual Eyes

How powerful are your spiritual eyes? How far and what you can see determine what comes to you.  Many are looking but seeing nothing and this is affecting the full delivery of God’s promises to them. This post is a call to re-evaluate what you see with your spiritual eyes.

Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from your law – Psalm 119:18 (NKJV)

So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” – 2 Kings 2:2 (NKJV)

How much of God’s promises you experience in your life depends on how much of it you see with your spiritual eyes. If you can see the promise of God in the word of God, you will have it. When you see it, your understanding comes alive, and then will you have it. It’s not enough to read the word of God, you have to go beyond reading to seeing it, only then will the truth come alive in you. And when you see it with your spiritual eyes, no matter how long it takes you will see it with your physical eyes.

God demonstrated this principle in many places in the scriptures. In Genesis 13:14-15, God promised to give Abraham all the land he could see: northward, southward, eastward and westward. I believe he saw the land with his spiritual eyes, because the land God gave the Israelites when they came out from Egypt, a man’s physical eyes can’t see all of it.

Also in Jeremiah 1:11-14, God got Jeremiah to see His word before He could relate His message to him. In one, He told him, “You have seen well”. How well do you see? Jeremiah needed to understand God’s word before carrying it to others, and it was preceded by him seeing it first. God walked in the same manner with Zechariah (Zechariah 4:1-14, 5:1-4) Read more...

Whose Plan Are You Acting On?

Whose plan are you acting out? Every action of yours is geared towards a particular plan and you consent to it by your actions. Many people do many things without considering whose plans they are. This post is emphasizing that you follow the plan of God.

And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” – Luke 22:31 (NKJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope – Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV).

God has a plan for you and Satan has a plan for you too. God’s plan for you is of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. However, the enemy’s plan is to kill, steal and destroy you and your destiny (John 10:10). God’s plan is to beautify your destiny (Psalm 149:4) and make it glorious. But you decide whose plan will be carried out.

Satan’s plan for Peter was to sift him like wheat and waste his life and destiny.  Jesus prayed for him so that, the enemy’s plan though started will not be completed and at the same time enabled Peter to fulfill God’s plan for him; which is for him to be the rock upon  which God would build His church (Mathew 16:18).

The result of Christ’s prayer for Peter shows that you can turn from the enemy’s plan to God’s plan through prayers. However, you need the help of the Holy Spirit to ascertain God’s plan (1 Corinthians 2:11) for you, help you pray it to manifestation and to fulfil it. Read more...

Resting In God

Are you tired of that challenge? Challenges drain people’s energy and make them despair of life. Such people sometimes wish morning never comes. But this is not the case for those who rest in God. This post admonishes that you cease the struggle and rest in Christ Jesus.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light – Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV).

It is very good to work hard, being diligent because it will cause you to stand before kings (Proverbs 22:29). However, when it becomes a nightmare, takes your joy and peace and makes you sick, then you have crossed over to counter-productive hard-work. It is time to apply the break and check your resting position in God. This also applies to situations that are beyond your control, mountains that have refused to be moved or problems that you seem not to have solutions for.

Total rest is in Christ: you will find rest spirit, soul and body in Jesus. Rest in Christ means you understand that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither is bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favour to men of skill (Ecclesiastes 9:11); and that the blessing of God does not depend on one's own willingness or on his strenuous exertion as in running a race, but on God having mercy on him (Romans 9:16).

Resting in God means that you have faith in God (Mark 11:22), that you believe that He is the wisest God (Romans 16:27) indeed and that there is nothing impossible with Him (Luke 1:37). Also, that He is able to handle everything that comes your way. Furthermore, it means that you are not anxious for anything, but that in everything by prayer and petition, coupled with thanksgiving, you present your request to God (Philippians 4:6). A Call To Be Different

Do you know that God has called you to be different? You are to be different from the world and from those who claim to be Christians but live in the flesh. God is coming for a spotless church and He loves you to be there. This post emphasizes God’s demand on you to be different for Jesus.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” – 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

The world is becoming churchy while the church is becoming worldly. Nevertheless, the Lord knows them that are His. Anyone who is named of God should depart from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19). The day you surrendered your life to Christ, you made Him Lord over your life, and He is saying, “Don’t be like others, be different; be like Me”.  You are answerable to God; you should not be concerned about how people see you, rather be concerned about how God sees you.

As a true child of God, you have nothing in common with unbelievers; you are apart as far as light is to darkness. By salvation you have become different, therefore come out from among them and be separate. God has put a seed of greatness in you, so be great.

Jesus Christ has called you the light of the world. How will you manifest the light if there is a shade of darkness in you? He said that you are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13-14), but how will you preserve your savour if you are unequally yoked with unbeliever? Read more...

Go Again

Are you about giving up on God answering your prayers? God does not store prayers, He answers them. Unanswered prayer today does not mean unanswered prayer tomorrow. There is need for you to be persistent till you receive your answers. This post emphasizes that you should not quit but that you should go again.

So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.”
So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.”
Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ – 1 Kings 18:42-44 (NKJV)

There may be things you believe God for that are yet to be answered and you are getting tired of expecting it. You may have gone many times in pursuit of them and you are about quitting; I am here to tell you to go again, till you receive the answer. What God has promised in His word to be your inheritance or portion you should not let go of. God is watching over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).

Elijah was praying for rain and never stopped until he saw a sign of his answered prayer. Seven times he told his servant to go again and check for a sign of rain while he prayed. You may have gone twice in pursuit of your desire; I believe God is saying you should go again. Have you gone ten times? Still go again till you receive your answer. Read more...

Challenges Of Being Different 4 Jesus

Are there challenges standing out for Christ? The possibility of challenges makes some people not to decide for Jesus; however, that will be foolishness. The truth is that if you are for Christ, you will have, not only blessings but also challenges, and being prepared for it will enable you to stand till the end. This post tells you more about these challenges.

So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life – Mark 10:29-30 (NKJV, emphasis mine)

Standing for Jesus Christ is the wisest decision to take. It has numerous blessings BUT with challenges. When you are not prepared for them or refuse to acknowledge them, they will overcome you. That will not be your portion in Jesus name. In Mark 10:29-30, Jesus assures you of the benefits of living for Him but He added persecution. You are not to be ignorant of this truth, so that you will not be destroyed (Hosea 4:6). The summary of all challenges is persecution.

Persecution
No true child of God will escape persecution. Is this to scare you? No, it is to prepare you. Persecutions come in different forms; it can be mild or severe, subtle or obvious. It can come from your family, colleagues, associates or the society.  But in all, you should like Paul not allow any of these challenges to move you; don’t count your life dear to you so that you can finish the race with joy (Acts 20:24). I always remind people that eternity is more than a few years on earth. Even if you live up to 150 years, you will still die one day. 150 years is like a tiny drop of water compared to eternity. The highest your persecutor can do is kill your body, but God is able to destroy both body and soul in hell (Matthew 10:28), so fear Him instead. Read more...
