Go Again

Are you about giving up on God answering your prayers? God does not store prayers, He answers them. Unanswered prayer today does not mean unanswered prayer tomorrow. There is need for you to be persistent till you receive your answers. This post emphasizes that you should not quit but that you should go again.

So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.”
So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.”
Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ – 1 Kings 18:42-44 (NKJV)

There may be things you believe God for that are yet to be answered and you are getting tired of expecting it. You may have gone many times in pursuit of them and you are about quitting; I am here to tell you to go again, till you receive the answer. What God has promised in His word to be your inheritance or portion you should not let go of. God is watching over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).

Elijah was praying for rain and never stopped until he saw a sign of his answered prayer. Seven times he told his servant to go again and check for a sign of rain while he prayed. You may have gone twice in pursuit of your desire; I believe God is saying you should go again. Have you gone ten times? Still go again till you receive your answer. Read more...

Continuous Fervent Prayer Brings About Change

Do you desire a change in your life or in that disturbing issue before you? Or are you wondering why you haven’t seen a change since you prayed? The solution lies in continuous fervent prayer, which always brings about change.

So Peter was kept in prison, but fervent prayer for him was persistently made to God by the church (assembly) – Acts 12:5 (AMP)

Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth? Luke 18:6-8 (NKJV, emphasis mine)

Many people want change but they do not want to lift a finger in order to see the change. They want it all ready-made and delivered to them like Pizza. However, in spiritual things, the mode of operation is different. Everyone needs to work out his salvation with fear and trembling, Philippians 2:12. And continuous fervent prayer is one of the ways of doing so.

Whatever changes you may desire in your life: spiritual, financial, emotional, physical, etc., you can achieve them by continuously praying about it until you receive your result. Answered prayer is possible if you don’t quit.

The enemy may say, “I am not letting go of your goods”, then it’s time for you to tell him boldly, “neither will I allow you to keep it” by your actions which include continuous fervent prayer. When you persist, he will let go like he let go of Jesus after tempting Him for a while, Luke 4:1-12. No matter how long it may take, remain dogged. He can never withstand a persistent prayer filled with faith.

Many people lose their victory at the nick of time just because they quit believing and praying. Jesus says there is salvation for those who endure till the end. Your end may be NOW! Yes, you have been on it for a long time, your change may be now. Joy comes in the morning, and so as long there is breath in your nostril, your morning is coming. Prayer brings about change. Steps To Maintain Your Faith During A Storm Of Life

Do you have a challenge that is really weighing you down and you have been struggling to stand by faith? Storms of life are real; as long you are on earth, challenges will come. And as a man of God said, if you don’t want challenges then you will have to die first. However, every mountain is surmountable if you will stand firmly by faith till you see your answered prayer. This post gives you the steps to maintain your faith during a storm of life.

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform – Romans 4:17-21 (NKJV)

There is always a test before a testimony and a fight before any victory. Victory is sure for every Christian believer who will have faith in God. So, the issue is how to maintain your faith till you have your testimony. Many people have given up at the verge of their turnaround. But you can stand strong till you get your answered prayer.

Let’s consider the steps that gave Abraham his Isaac as recorded in Romans 4:17-21. Abraham didn’t have a child for many years after marrying Sarah. One day, at the age of 75, God promised to make him a father of many nations (Genesis 12:1-4), but Abraham had to wait for another 25 years before having Isaac through whom the promise was to be fulfilled – Genesis 21:5.

The steps to maintain your faith during storms of life

1.       Locate the word of God that promises you victory over that challenge.
This is very important because God is committed to fulfilling His words. God will not break His covenant nor alter the words that have gone out of His mouth – Psalm 89:34. If you stand on that promise of God like Abraham did, victory is sure.
God promised to make Abraham a father of many nations and he held unto it till Isaac was born.

2.       Be assured of God who promised it.
Human beings make promises but sometimes fail to fulfill it. But that is not the case with our God; what He says, He surely will do Isaiah 55:11. You need to know your God and believe in His words totally.
Abraham was assured that God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did, was more than able to give him a son.  Read more...

Why Faith Works By Love

Have you ever wondered why your faith seems not to be working? It can be very frustrating exercising your faith and getting nothing. But the truth remains that faith can only work through love. This article explains why faith works by love.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love – Galatians 5:6 (NKJV)
The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame – Zephaniah 3:5 (NKJV, emphasis mine)

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. – 1 Corinthians 13:2, 8 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

When people exercise faith and they don’t receive their desired answer, they conclude that this “faith thing” is not working. What they fail to do is to check their love walk. Faith works by love. Your faith must pass the test of love before it can deliver the answered prayer.

Why does faith work only through love?
God is the one who acts on your behalf according to your faith and God is love (1 John 4:8). So, we can say that Love is what acts on your behalf according to your faith. Therefore, when there is no love, nothing works on your faith, thereby producing nothing.

God never fails and so love never fails. Love will never fail to deliver your answered prayer when your faith is working through love. God is love and so when you walk in love, you exhibit God and command His manifestations.

All things are possible to him that believes (Mark 9:23) and if faith works by love, then all things are possible to him that loves. Read more...
