Steps To Maintain Your Faith During A Storm Of Life

Do you have a challenge that is really weighing you down and you have been struggling to stand by faith? Storms of life are real; as long you are on earth, challenges will come. And as a man of God said, if you don’t want challenges then you will have to die first. However, every mountain is surmountable if you will stand firmly by faith till you see your answered prayer. This post gives you the steps to maintain your faith during a storm of life.

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform – Romans 4:17-21 (NKJV)

There is always a test before a testimony and a fight before any victory. Victory is sure for every Christian believer who will have faith in God. So, the issue is how to maintain your faith till you have your testimony. Many people have given up at the verge of their turnaround. But you can stand strong till you get your answered prayer.

Let’s consider the steps that gave Abraham his Isaac as recorded in Romans 4:17-21. Abraham didn’t have a child for many years after marrying Sarah. One day, at the age of 75, God promised to make him a father of many nations (Genesis 12:1-4), but Abraham had to wait for another 25 years before having Isaac through whom the promise was to be fulfilled – Genesis 21:5.

The steps to maintain your faith during storms of life

1.       Locate the word of God that promises you victory over that challenge.
This is very important because God is committed to fulfilling His words. God will not break His covenant nor alter the words that have gone out of His mouth – Psalm 89:34. If you stand on that promise of God like Abraham did, victory is sure.
God promised to make Abraham a father of many nations and he held unto it till Isaac was born.

2.       Be assured of God who promised it.
Human beings make promises but sometimes fail to fulfill it. But that is not the case with our God; what He says, He surely will do Isaiah 55:11. You need to know your God and believe in His words totally.
Abraham was assured that God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did, was more than able to give him a son.  Read more...
