Praying In The Spirit-Power Channel For Effective And Fruitful Prayer Life

Are you baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with tongues? Praying in the Spirit or speaking with tongues is God's wisdom for empowering our prayer lives and ensuring that we pray in line with the will of God, thereby securing the Lord's intervention and blessings. It is a weapon that the enemy can neither understand nor interfere with. This post encourages you to pray more in the Spirit.

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God - Romans 8:26-27 (NKJV).

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit - Jude 1:20 (NKJV).

Praying in the Holy Spirit is very important for a powerful Christian living. It helps you to pray aright through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps you to pray very well when you pray with tongues. He helps you to pray the way and for the things you ought to. He intercedes for us with groaning which cannot be explained, He goes deep into the root of a matter to pray about it. The Spirit of God prays directly to the Father according to His will and so the Father hears Him expressly.

What happens when you pray in tongues?
  • When you pray in the Spirit, you move from the earthly realm to the spiritual realm where the enemy cannot interfere with what you are saying, since he can't understand it.

  • You are empowered spiritually, because God praying through you will rub off on you His nature. It is just as when you stay a while where there is smoke; you end up smelling of that smoke, the smoke rubs off on you. God's nature rubs off on you the more, as you spend time praying in the Holy Ghost. You will love and do great works like He does. Read more...

Don’t Toy With What Is Happening Now!

What is your interpretation of the things happening in the world? Your perspective and response to the unfolding events in the world will determine what effect or impact they will have on you now and in the future. This post is a product of insights, reflections and understanding of the message preached by Dr David Oyedepo during the annual gathering of Living Faith Church members worldwide, which was called ‘Shiloh 2016’, and it admonishes that you prepare for your exemption during this dark season.

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee – Isaiah 60:2 (KJV)

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars….For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows – Matthew 24: 5-8 (NKJV).

Darkness is come already. It is gross darkness that is yet to come. If you can’t handle the darkness, gross darkness will overwhelm you. The question that was asked and I throw back to you was ‘what are you doing to be exempted?’ Mathew 24: 5-8 listed certain evil events that will happen before the second coming of Christ and the end of the age (Matthew 24:3). A lot have come and are coming to pass and many more will still come to pass.  Interestingly, Jesus said the list is just the beginning of sorrows. What are you doing to escape these sorrows?

Many Christians don’t read the handwriting on the walls of times, instead they complain, murmur and join the world in reacting negatively. You are to take a different approach and ensure that no matter what happens, it will not come near you (Psalm 91:7). You are not to fear what the world fears (1 Peter 3:14) nor say what they say, instead when they are cast down you are to be saying there is a lifting up (Job 22:29)

A time is coming when there will be no hiding place but in God. You are not to toil with what is happening now. Testimonies are not accidents but raw products of applied revelation. Your exemption will not come out of agenda but according to applied revelation. It is time to fortify your position in Christ and apply the word of God as a lifestyle. Read more...

Divine Helps For Stonger Prayer Life

Do you struggle to pray? Do you wish your prayer life is stronger? Many people desire to pray effectively but don’t know how to overcome the weakness they experience while praying. This post gives the solution to this challenge.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil – Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV)

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses… - Romans 8:26 (NKJV)

He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me – John 6:56-57 (NKJV)

The importance of prayer cannot be overemphasized.  A solid prayer life is the foundation for a victorious Christian life. The enemy is aware of this, which is why he would do everything possible to hinder you from praying. One major way he achieves this is through the flesh.

Your spirit may be willing but if your flesh is weak, you will have a struggle to pray effectively. Therefore, the need for you to subdue the flesh becomes very crucial. The flesh wants to sleep when you want to pray. It wants to eat when you are fasting and praying. It wants to do any other thing other than empower your spirit.

You cannot subdue the flesh by your own strength. You need divine help to overcome the weakness in your prayer life.

The divine helps:

·         Help of Jesus – Ask Jesus to help you subdue your flesh so that you can pray well.
You can pray effectively when Jesus strengthens you. Jesus prayed and strengthened Peter so he could lead the disciples and spread the gospel efficiently. Peter who was not able to stand for Christ before a maiden was now able to stand for Him before multitudes, including the priests. Read more...
