The Vessels for Signs and Wonders

Why are there no consistent and continuous flow of signs and wonders, miracles like the days of the apostles? God is still the God of signs and wonders today but He is limited by the vessels that carry the anointing. Most of the vessels want to be used, but they are too busy to be used by God. This post aims at redirecting God’s vessels to the most important thing to do to be used of God.

Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work – 2 Timothy 2:21 (NKJV).

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NKJV).

The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord – Proverbs 16:1 (NKJV).

God uses human beings most of the time to do signs and wonders, but when the vessels are not adequately prepared to be used, nothing happens. There are so much physical preparations but little spiritual preparations with church of Christ now. God is the worker of signs and wonders and miracles, but until He does His work, nothing happens in spite of all the physical preparations.

God’s vessels plan, organize, strategize, prepare, spend money, do everything for an event or service to be successful and end it there, leaving out the main worker (the Holy Spirit). They spend a lot of time preparing physically for an event but spend little or no time engaging the worker of miracles. Who will take the glory at the end?
