Enjoying The Blessedness Of Christ

Do you know Jesus as Christ and are you enjoying His blessedness? A personal understanding of Jesus as your Christ is the beginning of great blessings from God. And accepting Jesus as your Christ enables you to exercise your faith so that He can offer you all He can as Christ. This post helps you to reach out and enjoy all the blessedness of Christ.

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. - Matthew 16:15-16 (NKJV).

In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made - John 1:1-3 (NKJV).

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth - John 1:14 (NKJV).

Jesus The Christ

Names signify what the bearer is empowered to do or achieve, it defines his or her purpose. And in Jesus Christ's case, He is to save us from our sins and their consequences. So, receiving Him as your Saviour is to enjoy salvation from sin and its consequences afflicting your life and destiny.

When Peter declared Jesus as the Christ, the Lord told him that this was a revelation from His Father who is in heaven (Matthew 16:17). So, there is more to just calling the Lord "Jesus Christ". Hence, you need a personal revelation of Jesus as Christ. For it is the beginning of access to divine interventions. As such you can pray for God to reveal Him as Christ to you, which He will as you study the word. Also, receiving Jesus as the Word of God helps you to build your faith in His salvation as you study the word (Romans 10:17). Read more...

Soul Winning Lifestyle

Are you winning souls as a lifestyle? Soul winning shouldn't be a periodic thing in your life. This is because the enemy is making converts every day in multitudes. Therefore, be smarter and faster than He is so that you can win more people for Christ. This post encourages you to imbibe soul winning as a lifestyle.

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables - 2 Timothy 4:2-4 (NKJV).

Why Soul Winning Lifestyle?

The devil's time is running out and he is desperate to draw many people along to his condemnation. And it's not God's will that any should perish. Therefore, we need to see the urgency of soul winning and drive it to success. So, it's no more time to win souls when it's convenient or when you're less busy. Rather, you're to live ever ready to win souls, for the labourers are few and yet the harvest is full (Matthew 9:37).
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37).

Christianity As a LifeStyle

To be a Christian is to live like Christ at all times. As such Christianity is a lifestyle. So, it's not clothing you wear or remove when you like. Rather, as long as you're alive, you're to wear Christ (Romans 13:14).
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts (Romans 13:14).
Let your life shine as the light that draws men to Christ. And let men see you and desire to be like Jesus. The scriptures call the believing Christians "Salt" that gives taste to the world, and "light" that gives light to the world. And you're to shine forth that people may see your good works and glorify God the Father (Matthew 5:14-16). Read more...

This Christian Race

If you're saved in Christ, do you know that you're in a Christian race to heaven? Many Christians are so casual about this truth that they're missing it, and they are not even aware of it. Christianity is a race. And the sooner, Christians become serious with it, the greater their chances of making it to the finishing line.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified - I Corinthians 9:24-27 (NKJV).

The State of the Nominal Christian

Many believing Christians act as if Christianity is only about giving your life to Christ. And many have remained with this mindset for many years. So, they end up not being different from an unbeliever, except that they keep telling themselves that they're believers. However, this is a deceit from the pit of hell.
It's unfortunate that many believing Christians take their career or business more seriously than they do their Christian life. And they spend all the time, energy, and money to prepare and acquire what they desire concerning their work, mental or physical goals. But they will spend little or no time for their spiritual life. This is because they consider it as being trivial. And this is what the enemy wants them to believe so that they will miss the crown.

The Christian Race

Christianity is a race and we're gunning for the imperishable crown which God will give all who will run to obtain it. So, you're to run, observing the rules, in order to obtain the crown. Also, you're to run with certainty, not like one beating the air aimlessly. Furthermore, you need to discipline yourself so that you will not miss it on that day. Read more...

Going to the Church of God With This COVID-19 Virus

Should you attend church services with the Coronavirus pandemic? Now, Churches can hold services in some places. However, many Christians are yet to resume services in their various churches. But these same persons go to the shops, banks, markets and their offices. Should going to church during COVID-19 then be an issue?

But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions - Obadiah 1:17 (NKJV).

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them - Matthew 18:20 (NKJV).

The cases of COVID-19 have made many people not to go out the way they use to. And most people only go out of their residence when they have no other choice. So, many places are presently out of bounds for such people. And the church is one such place. But should the church be part of them?

The main cause

Fear of death is the main reason why some people don't attend church services during this pandemic. And this is because of the numerous reported death cases of people who contracted the COVID-19. So, everyone is trying as much as lies within their power to avoid contracting the virus.

Should you avoid church services?

You're to adhere to the recommended precautions for avoiding COVID-19 disease at all times once outside your residence. These include the social distancing, wearing face masks, and the use of sanitizer and frequent washing of hands.
In some of the places where people go, these precautions are difficult to adhere to. For instance, in the open markets with much crowd, it's not easy to obey the social distancing precautions. However, this can be managed effectively in churches. Read more...

How To Lead A Soul To Christ?

Soul-winning is the heartbeat of God and it's the ministry given to every Christian believer. However, for you to effectively win souls for Christ, you must learn how to do so. So, this post tells you how to win souls for Christ.

For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher - Romans 10:13-14 (NKJV).

Many people are still not saved partly because those who approached them did it wrongly. However, when you follow the steps for soul-winning that the apostles used, you will not miss it. And if you're to win souls for Christ then you have to do it His way.

How To Win Souls For Christ

1. Understand the reason for soul-winning

It is important that you understand why you have to reach out to souls for Christ. This is because it will build up your passion to lead souls to Christ. For, passion drives evangelism effectively and successfully. And one major reason is that without salvation in Christ, the individual will perish in hell (John 3:16). However, it's not the will of God that any should perish. So, God gave the ministry of reconciliation to every believer that we should go and lead others to Christ.

2. Prayer and fasting

This is a very important aspect of soul winning. This is because you can't win souls in the energy of the flesh. It is the Father that draws people to Christ (John 6:44).
Also, it is the Holy Spirit that converts and not you. So, you need to engage the help of the Holy Spirit. And you do this through prayers. Also, adding fasting to prayer helps you to be more sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

In prayers, you ask the Spirit of God to lead you, speak through you, and convert the individual (Ephesians 6:19-20). Also, you ask Him to give you the wisdom for each person you desire to lead to Christ. This is because the method you used for one may not work on another. And the individual thoughts, mindset, or ideas of things differ from one person to another.

Furthermore, in prayers, you ask the Holy Spirit to open the hearts of the people to receive the gospel of Christ. For example, God opened the heart of Lydia to receive the gospel of Christ that Paul was preaching (Acts 16:14). Also, you pray that they accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour. So, in prayer, you table every detail of the evangelism before God and receive guidance and directions for it. Read more...

The Importance and Benefits Of Soul Winning

Why should you go for evangelism? Soul winning is an important part of Christianity. And we must attend to it if we want to please God and enjoy the benefits of soul winning that He has for us. This post gives the importance and benefits of reaching out to souls for Christ.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance - 2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV).

Every Christian is expected to be a soul winner. Unfortunately, many Christians don't see the reason to make soul winning their business. However, there are many vital reasons to reach out to souls for Christ. And understanding of these will compel many Christians to make soul winning their lifestyle.

Importance and benefits of soul winning

1. God commanded it

When Jesus was leaving, He gave us the great commission to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). And the scriptures say that we should obey the commandments of God. This commission is not voluntary but mandatory for all believing Christians.

2. Reconciliation back to God

God has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that we should go and reconcile people back to God. And soul winning makes it possible to reconcile men back to God. This mandate originated from the fall of man when Adam sold out to the serpent. And man was cut off from the fellowship he had with God. This is because man died when Adam and Eve ate the fruit (Genesis 3:3).
So, God went ahead to initiate the arrival of Jesus that through him men may be reconciled back to Him. And it's only through soul winning that people get the opportunity to return back to God.

3. Salvation from all evils

When a person receives Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour, he receives a total package of redemption. So, he is saved spirit, soul, and body from every attack of the enemy (Psalm 91:9-10). Therefore, new birth doesn't only reconcile the person back to God but also delivers healing to the body and deliverance from all satanic oppressions. This is why people testify that they got their healing the day they gave their lives to Christ. Hallelujah, it's a total package. Read more...

One World Religion-It's Time To Examine Yourself

Many Christians are wondering about the One World Religion that is seriously coming up now. And all manner posts, videos, comments, and so on are out there in the media and online. This is agitating many Christian believers. But what truly should be our concern at this time? This is the time to examine yourself.

And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed - Revelation 13:3-4, 8, 12 (NKJV).

The scriptural basis for One world religion

Some people wonder if one world religion is in the scriptures. And the answer is YES. However, you will not find it written like that in the bible. But the scriptures do describe a one-world religion. For instance, in Revelations 13:3-4, 8, 12, the scriptures describe a time when the whole world will worship the beast except those whose names are in the book of life. And these would be the believing Christians. This means no other thing will be worshipped at that time but the beast, that is One Religion.

The scriptures must be fulfilled

Therefore, the truth is that One World Religion will surely come to pass. For, it is one of the major events that must take place before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, it's not negotiable nor should it be a subject for debate. Hence, just like Jesus said in Matthew 24:33 when you see all these things, know that the coming of Jesus Christ is near - at the door.
