Going to the Church of God With This COVID-19 Virus

Should you attend church services with the Coronavirus pandemic? Now, Churches can hold services in some places. However, many Christians are yet to resume services in their various churches. But these same persons go to the shops, banks, markets and their offices. Should going to church during COVID-19 then be an issue?

But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions - Obadiah 1:17 (NKJV).

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them - Matthew 18:20 (NKJV).

The cases of COVID-19 have made many people not to go out the way they use to. And most people only go out of their residence when they have no other choice. So, many places are presently out of bounds for such people. And the church is one such place. But should the church be part of them?

The main cause

Fear of death is the main reason why some people don't attend church services during this pandemic. And this is because of the numerous reported death cases of people who contracted the COVID-19. So, everyone is trying as much as lies within their power to avoid contracting the virus.

Should you avoid church services?

You're to adhere to the recommended precautions for avoiding COVID-19 disease at all times once outside your residence. These include the social distancing, wearing face masks, and the use of sanitizer and frequent washing of hands.
In some of the places where people go, these precautions are difficult to adhere to. For instance, in the open markets with much crowd, it's not easy to obey the social distancing precautions. However, this can be managed effectively in churches. Read more...
