How To Build Your Spirituality In Christ Now

Are you building up your spirit man more than your soul or body? The one you build more determines the kind of success you will have in life. However, building your spirit profits you in all things and promises great things of life now and afterwards. This post tells you how to build your spirit man in Christ.

For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come – 1 Timothy 4:8 (NKJV).

So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified – Acts 20:32 (NKJV).

Many people spend a lot of time and money building their mind and body. This is good but if you don’t spend more time and money on your spirit, your life will not be in its perfect condition. Besides building your mind and body only profits you here on earth, but building your spirit profits you not only here on earth but also in the life to come. And the word of God is a major tool for building your spirituality in Christ. This is because it builds you up and gives you your inheritance in the Lord.

How To Build Your Spirituality In Christ

1. Study the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15)

This builds up your knowledge of God, His will and what He expects of you to inherit the blessings He has for you. Also, it makes you bold and eradicates any form of shame you may have being a child of God. Furthermore, it helps you to rightly apply the truth of God’s word.

2. Meditate on the word (Joshua 1:8)

It enables you to understand the word of God you have studied. Furthermore, it empowers you to obey God’s law and increases your faith. For, then will you prosper and have good success. Also, it enables you to go beyond the letters to the Spirit behind the words. Read more...

Fear Of Evil Or Faith In God-What Do You Have?

Are you afraid of COVID-19 or do you have faith in God that it won't affect you? Surely, you either have fear or faith in God at this time. And what you have determines what comes to you. So, in this post we will be examining these two emotions to determine what you have.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love - 1 John 4:18 (KJV).

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes - Mark 9:23 (NKJV).

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV).

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God - Mark 11:22 (NKJV).

The fear of this virus, which is actually fear of death, has taken hold of people that many Christians have even forgotten who they are in Christ and what God promised them in the scriptures. Though, these Christians know the truth, they have not allowed this truth to profit them. This is because they have not missed what they know with faith (Hebrews 4:2).

You either have faith or fear at any given time, you can't have both at the same time. However, you decide which emotion you express per time. And what knowledge you yield to at the time governs your decision. Also, know that fear and faith enter into your life and manifest the same way. So, you choose what you let in or out of your life.

Comparison Between Faith And Fear

Similarities

How To Perfectly Fight This Virus Spiritually

How are you fighting or protecting yourself from this COVID-19 virus that is afflicting people today?  Surely, whatever you are using or doing will affect the state of your mind. And though, there are many suggestions available, there is one that is good for your mind and proven not to fail. This post gives you the perfect way to fight against the virus spiritually.

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist - Luke 21:15 (NKJV).

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says' -Mark 11:23 (NKJV).

Many people hear the evil reports concerning this virus and are so fearful. Unfortunately, fear also opens the door for the virus to come in. This is because fear will make you to take the wrong steps and expose yourself to the virus. However, there is an infallible tool perfect for fighting against Coronavirus. It was used in the past for various purposes, and many are using it now and it hasn't failed. And this tool is your MOUTH!

Your mouth is not only for eating food, it is also a weapon of warfare, which when used properly in faith will always give you victory. So, with your mouth you can keep this virus or any other virus far from you. This is because you will have what you say (Mark 11:23) and the virus can not contradict or resist what you say (Luke 21:15).

The Two Operations Of The Mouth Not Of Food

The mouth is both creative and destructive. God created the world with it (Hebrews 11:3), and Joshua made the sun to stand still with it (Joshua 10). Also, Elijah with it called down fire to consume the soldiers who came to take him to the king (2 Kings 1:10-12). So, you eat the fruit of your mouth (Proverbs 13:2). And death and life are in the power of your tongue (Proverbs 18:21) and you can reap the life if you chose. Read more....

The Effects Of Spirituality In The Life Of A Man

Do you wonder why you have no peace and your life seems to crash down? Then, one area I will suggest you check is your spirituality. This is because your spirituality determines what happens to you physically. This post relates your success in life to your spirituality in Christ.

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God – Romans 8:5-8 (NKJV).

Many people are so bothered and troubled in life that they miss out what the Maker has in store for them. These are results of being carnal. In other words, they set their minds on the things of the flesh and the cares of this world, rather than the things of the Spirit.

You Are A Spirit Being

You are essentially a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. Therefore, for you to succeed in life, you must not neglect your spirit. This is because your spirit needs to rule over your soul and body to put you on the right path. Otherwise, your life will turn out messed up because your soul and body are not to orchestrate your life. It’s like putting governing of a country in the hands of a child without supervision.

Carnality

Carnality is living according to the dictates of the flesh and enmity against God. For, it is not subject to the law of God, neither is it capable of doing so. As such, it cannot please God and so leads to death. A carnal mind doesn’t consider the will of God before acting but acts spontaneously as the flesh desires. And the works of the flesh include adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like (Galatians 5:19-21). Unfortunately, those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Read more...

Is Gaining The World And Losing Your Soul Worth It?

What shall it profit you if you gain the whole world and lose your soul? Every action, thought or word of yours determines the line you are towing. And your time on earth is too short to make wrong choices. This post encourages you to focus on gaining your soul.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? - Matthew 16:26 (NKJV).

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” - John 11:25 (NKJV).

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment - Hebrews 9:27 (NKJV).

Your soul is more important than the gains of this world and so needs adequate attention. This is because it lives on even after death (John 11:25). It spends eternity either with God (which is God's will) or with the devil. And you ultimately decide where it goes by the things you do here on earth.

The Dilemma

Many people live in this world as if their lives end here. So, they chase after money by all means and fight with all they have for power. They do this even to the point of stealing, killing or destroying others just like the devil whose mission is to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). Unfortunately, these acts are outright consent to spend eternity with the devil.

God's Will

It is not the will of God that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9) but that all should have eternal life. This He showed by giving His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). And Christ has paid the entire price that you may spend eternity with God. Read more...

See Your True Image In The Word Of God

Who do you see when you look at the mirror? This is because who you see determines what you think, say or do and what comes to you. However, the mirror you are using is what dictates the reflection you see. And the best mirror to use is the mirror of the word. This post charges you to see yourself as the word of God sees you.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord – 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV).

So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified – Acts 20:32 (NKJV).

The Challenge

Many Christians are checking themselves with the mirrors of this world, while others are seeing themselves through the eyes of other people. These forms of mirrors will never give you your true image. And until you see your true self you will never be satisfied, peaceful or rested.
Everyone has an impression of you, which most of the time is wrong. Also, you too can wrongly paint a picture of yourself based on opinions of people and circumstances surrounding you. Nevertheless, these opinions can’t change what God, your maker, says about you, which is your true image.

You Are Who God Says You Are

People are free to say what they like about you but you should always cross-check it with what God says about you, and if it is different discard their words. This is because, no one knows you better than your maker, and His description of you never changes. Furthermore, the Lord has documented all about you in His word, so discover them. The Importance Of A Good Testimony From God

Do you know what God thinks of you? The testimony of the Lord goes a long way to determine what is allowed to come to you. So, the occurrences around you, to a great extent, depict what He testifies of you. Therefore, it is important to consider God’s testimony of you for a more fruitful and peaceful life. This post gives the importance of having a good testimony from the Lord.

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land – Job 1:8-10 (NKJV).

Many people are concerned about what other people think about them more than what God thinks. Also, they are more interested in pleasing themselves rather than the lord. This affects what they do and how they respond to God’s instructions, they tend to forget that He has the final say over their lives (Luke 12:16-21). And in so doing, they remove themselves from the Lord’s good book, expose themselves to attacks from the enemy and frequently fall into his traps.

However, when you are upright, fear God and hate evil like Job, you will please the Lord and have good testimonies from Him. Furthermore, the Lord will fully manifest in your life (John 14:21) and show Himself faithful. So, let’s see how He will do these:

The Importance of A Good Testimony From God

1. Success

A good testimony from the Lord will cause Him to bless the work of your hands like He did for Job (Job 1:10), which will lead to success. Read more...
