Why Cut Yourself Off The Inheritance

Do you think that some blessings in God's word are not for you or they will not apply to you now? This shouldn't be because God made provisions for all His children and everything is in abundance. The enemy is only trying to cheat you due to your lack of knowledge or inability to exercise your right in Christ Jesus. This post aims at encouraging you not to cut yourself off the inheritance of God.

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise - Galatians 3:26-29 (NKJV).

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth - Deuteronomy 28:1 (NKJV).

There are great inheritances available for God's children on earth; however, many of them are cutting themselves off the inheritance. When God mentioned these blessings, He never mentioned the age, gender, or background of the people that they belong too or that will get most of them, but some Christians are adding these and in the process are exempting themselves from the inheritance. We are all one in Christ Jesus and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:26-29), and that includes you.

Access to the Lord's inheritance
The accesses I see in the scriptures are:

1. Being born again
This is the starting point. You have to be a child of God to access His inheritance, which is for His children. You become one by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9-10).

2. Love for God
God has prepared great things that eyes have not seen or ears heard for those that love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). So, for you to partake of these blessings you have to love God with all heart. Read more...

Declare That You May Be Justified

Are you being tormented and denied your blessings because of your past sins? Are you miserable because you can't get your mind off the sins you committed earlier? I have good news for you; you can be free from that torment today. This post tells you how you can be free from the harassment of the enemy because of the sins you committed earlier.

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified - Isaiah 43:25-26 (KJV)

Many people are held in bondage because of what they did in the past. They have repented but the enemy is forever bringing up their past to torment them, using it as a reason why they can't receive anything from God. These people are serving God with their whole heart, but lack the boldness to receive their inheritance from God because they think that they are not worthy or qualified for the blessing. If you are part of these people, satan is just cheating you of your inheritance.

God says that He has blotted out your transgressions for His own sake and that He will not remember them again (Isaiah 43:25). When you ask God to forgive you, you must believe that He will do what He said He would do, which is to forgive and forget your sins. You should not believe the thoughts the enemy is bombarding your mind with, rather choose to believe the Lord.

The Almighty Father forgets your sins when you ask for forgiveness for His own sake, so that He will freely bless you without remembering your sins. You are the one remembering it, not God. No matter how gravely the sin may be, when God forgives, He forgets; you too should forget when you have confessed and repented from it. Read more...

Taking Delivery Of Your Blessings Through The power Of The Mouth

What do you say with your mouth? Your tongue forms your future and so should be wisely used. However, many Christians are not harnessing the power of the tongue for their benefits. This post stresses the importance of taking delivery of your blessings through the power of the tongue.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV).

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says - Mark 11:23 (NKJV).

Many Christians are crying and getting depressed over things they have the power to change. God has made provisions for His children to take delivery of their blessings, inheritances in Christ. Unfortunately, many of them are not taking advantage of these provisions. They would rather murmur and complain. One of such provisions is the tongue.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue and those who know how to harness the life will eat its fruit, while those who harness the death will eat its fruit also. So, like Joshua said choose life that you may live (Deuteronomy 30:19). Be careful to keep your tongue from speaking the wrong things that you may enjoy life (Psalm 34:12-13). Choose to consciously use your tongue to create the future you want.

The scriptures says in Mark 11:23 that if you don't doubt in your heart but believe that those things which you say will come to pass, you will have whatever you say! You have to start saying what you want, not what you have that you don't want. Also, you have to BELIEVE that whatever you are saying will come to pass. God's people are destroyed or frustrated because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) or because they have refused to do as the Lord had instructed.

God says, "Open your mouth wide and I will fill it". The children of Israel refused to obey this instruction and God couldn't subdue their enemies nor turn His hand against their adversaries (Psalm 81:10-14). Read more...

Remain In Service, Be Paid And Promoted

Are you still in service unto God? Every service unto the Lord attracts a reward, for God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. God owes no man anything but richly gives us all things to enjoy. However, to qualify for God’s blessings you have to be actively in service. This post emphasizes the need to diligently serve God in order to receive his blessings.

So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days – Exodus 23:25-26 (NKJV).

‘His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord – Matthew 25:21 (NKJV).

I recently heard Dr David Oyedepo saying that you need to remain in service to be paid and promoted, and I was prompted in my spirit to write on this.

Nobody gets paid by an organization if the person is not on their payroll. You have to be a staff working in that organization for you to be entitled for any payment at the end of the week or month. So also, you have to be actively servicing God to be qualified for His blessings.

In Exodus 23:25, God listed the blessings that will come upon anyone who is serving Him. This list covers everything you will ever desire on earth: prosperity, total health, fruitfulness and long life. Also, Matthew 25:21 makes it clear that when you faithfully serve God, you will be greatly promoted.

This year, God is very much ready to release His blessings to you, but you have to be in active service. Therefore, allow the Father to lead you in what areas He wants you to serve Him and do so, and your joy shall be full.

When you quit serving the Lord, you cease to be on His payroll, and there will be no further promotions for you. Many Christians excitedly serve the Lord, but when God blesses them with their heart desires, they quit serving Him. Unfortunately, this step of theirs disqualifies them for future pay and promotions, until they return to serving Him. Read more...
