Engaging The Power Of God Through The Altar Of Prayer

Do you desire to see the power of God manifested in your life? God releases His power to whosoever is able to tap into it. The power of God makes a great difference between success and failure. This post declares altar of prayer as an altar for engaging the power of God.

And it came to pass, at the  time  of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “ LORD  God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that  I have done all these things at Your word. Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench – I Kings 18:36, 38 (NKJV).

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him – I Samuel 1:10, 27 (NKJV).

Many Christians shy away from praying yet it is a channel for tapping into the power of God. Prayer gets you on the same frequency with God Almighty, grants you audience with the Lord and gives you the opportunity to make your request known unto Him (Philippians 4:6). The scripture says ask and it will be given to you (Matthew 7:7), and it is in prayer that you ask and receive.

The power of God subdues the enemy and so you need it to subdue the enemy. It is said that a prayer-less Christian is a powerless Christian. In prayer, you are empowered to enforce the will of God in your life and you provoke the intervention of heaven on your behalf.

Any Christian who is not interested in much prayers is not interested in seeing much of God’s power in his life. The more you pray the more you are exposed to the Lord’s power in manifestation. Your desired change will come via the altar of prayer. Read more...

Going Back To the Base!

Back To the Base!
The Word of God is real!
I know it and I believe it.
How I pray that it will be established in all areas of mine life NOW!
Unfortunately, it is not so.
I have to patiently wait for its manifestation in my life, having done the will of God (Hebrews 10:36).
The scripture says, “Having done all, to stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13)
But then, have I done all?
This I wonder!
So, I go back to the base: Word Study.

The Word of God reveals the will of God for me and shows me how to access it (1Corinthians 2:9-13).
I reach out for it and it seems far-fetched.
I ask myself, “is it really for me?”
Then the Holy Spirit reminds me that God has given me richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).
Why am I not getting them?
So, I go back to the base: Word Study.

I realize that I need to grow my faith in God (Jude 20),
I need to walk in absolute obedience to God (Deuteronomy 28:1-2),
I need to walk in love (Ephesians 5:1-2) and
I need to be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
How do I go about these?
So, I go back to the base: Word Study.

Prepare To Be Used Of God

Are you a vessel of honour or dishonour? Are you prepared to be used for every good work? God is looking for those who are ready for the work He has at this time. However, many people are not consciously preparing for it. This post tells you about preparing to be used of God.

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work – 2 Timothy 2:20-21 (KJV).

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man – Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV).

Many believing Christians give their lives to Jesus Christ and stop there. They do not purge themselves nor prepare themselves for God to use them. They forget that the whole duty of man is to obey the commandments of God.

The Creator of the whole universe works on earth through men; some to honour and some to dishonor. What each one is used for is determined by the state of the individual. For believing Christians, God ordained them as vessels of honour, but each person ultimately decides what he or she is used for by the level of preparation he or she makes.

The kingdom of the Almighty is not meat and drink, but peace, righteousness and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). Some Christians want Christ and the devil in their lives at the same time, this however cannot be; you either serve the Lord or mammon (Matthew 6:24). You need to purge yourself of all carnality and build up yourself in your most holy faith (Jude 20). No one can do it for you! Read more...

God Almighty-Your Ultimate Backup in Battle

What do you trust in in times of warfare? Is God your backup in battle? Battle in life is a reality and one should prepare oneself to win at all times.  The forces that are for you determine your failure or success in life. This post emphasizes God as the ultimate backup in the battles of life.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31(KJV).
And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them – 2 Kings 6:16(KJV).
Every day, people face one battle or another, whether in their minds or physically. However, whether they win or lose is determined by what they trust in, what is backing them up. People depend on so many things, which can be categorized under three forces: man, devil and God. Each force has a level of power and authority, but the ultimate is God.
MAN
Man is greatly limited in his ability to save, help or deliver. He can only help based on what power and authority he has and how long he can hold unto it. He becomes stronger if he is connected to either God or the devil. Also, his inability to live (Psalm 37:2) forever limits him greatly.
DEVIL
The devil had authority and power over man (due to the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, Luke 4:6) until Jesus defeated him on the cross. Now he only has authority over unsaved souls and saved souls that are ignorant of who they are in Christ.
GOD
God is the creator of the universe; He created both the devil and man. In addition, He lives forever, which enables Him to decree a thing and ensure it is done. He is the Almighty and every other thing is subject to Him. He is the Beginning and the Ending (Revelations 1:8) and what He says stands. It is therefore wisdom to connect with this God who is all and all. Read more...

Right Stewardship-Pathway To Greatness

Are you a steward of the mysteries of God? Is your service right and acceptable before God? God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6) and one of His rewards is greatness (Genesis 12:1-3). This post is aimed at ensuring that your service unto God leads to greatness in life.

Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one found faithful - I Corinthians 4:1-2 (NKJV).

For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money - Titus 1:7 (NKJV).

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God - I Peter 4:10 (NKJV).

It is one thing to be involved in service activities, and another thing for your service to be acceptable before God. For God to make you great, your stewardship must be up to His standard. As a believing Christian, you are to be considered as a steward of the mysteries of God (1 Corinthians 4:1). An understanding of who a steward is will enable you to examine your performance as a steward.

A steward is said to be a person who manages properties or some other things for another person. And for God, we are managing His mysteries. For example, we are to manage the manifold grace of God - 1 Peter 4:10. How well have you managed the grace of God on your life to serve Him in whatever capacity He has positioned you? Read more...
