Do
you believe that God loves you and are you experiencing it in your
life? Many Christians believe that God loves them but they fail to tap
into the blessings of the love of God. Being rooted and grounded in the
love of God sets you above all circumstances. This post gives you the
reason to have faith in God’s love for you.
So
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you,
having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, be fully
capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width
and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that
amazing, endless love]; and [that you may come] to know [practically,
through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses
[mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up
[throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have
the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely
filled and flooded with God Himself] – Ephesians 3:17-19 (AMP).
God
loves you and He wants you to experience His love in your life. It
makes no sense if you call yourself a child of God and you don’t know
what it means to be loved by your Father. Every child expects his or her
father to show his love for him or her. Are you expecting God to show
His love for you or are you doubting His willingness to do so? Your
expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18). Have faith in God’s
love for you!
You
need to go beyond knowing that God loves you to experiencing His love
in your life. The Father’s love for you is amazing and endless and it
surpasses the knowledge you have about it, it is best experienced. O!
What love God has for you.
Apostle
John, the beloved of Christ (John 21:20), knew this love and truly
lived in it. The books written by Apostle John reveal this amazing love
of Christ more than the rest of the books of the New Testament. He wrote
out of his experience of Christ’s love for him (1 John 1:2). He too in
return loved Jesus dearly and put his trust in Christ as a child would.
Apostle John was always among the three often separated to be with
Christ (Matthew 17:1-13, Matthew 26:36-38) and interestingly, Jesus
committed His mother, Mary to him to take care of (John 19:25-27). His
deep love for Jesus made him to desire to be close to Him at all times
(John 13:23) and he ended up with deep revelations of God’s love for man
(e.g. 1 John 4:7-21).
Expectation on God’s love for you
What are you to expect from God’s love? You are to expect that
1. He will keep His word concerning you.
When
you have faith in the love of God for you, you will expect Him to
fulfil his word in your life. You will not doubt His willingness to do
what He said He will do in your life; Christ Himself said He is willing
(Matthew 8:3). God will do what He said He will do (Numbers 23:19). Read more...
