Have Faith in God’s Love for You

Do you believe that God loves you and are you experiencing it in your life? Many Christians believe that God loves them but they fail to tap into the blessings of the love of God. Being rooted and grounded in the love of God sets you above all circumstances. This post gives you the reason to have faith in God’s love for you.

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself] – Ephesians 3:17-19 (AMP).

God loves you and He wants you to experience His love in your life. It makes no sense if you call yourself a child of God and you don’t know what it means to be loved by your Father. Every child expects his or her father to show his love for him or her. Are you expecting God to show His love for you or are you doubting His willingness to do so? Your expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18). Have faith in God’s love for you!

You need to go beyond knowing that God loves you to experiencing His love in your life. The Father’s love for you is amazing and endless and it surpasses the knowledge you have about it, it is best experienced. O! What love God has for you.

Apostle John, the beloved of Christ (John 21:20), knew this love and truly lived in it. The books written by Apostle John reveal this amazing love of Christ more than the rest of the books of the New Testament. He wrote out of his experience of Christ’s love for him (1 John 1:2). He too in return loved Jesus dearly and put his trust in Christ as a child would. Apostle John was always among the three often separated to be with Christ (Matthew 17:1-13, Matthew 26:36-38) and interestingly, Jesus committed His mother, Mary to him to take care of (John 19:25-27). His deep love for Jesus made him to desire to be close to Him at all times (John 13:23) and he ended up with deep revelations of God’s love for man (e.g. 1 John 4:7-21).

Expectation on God’s love for you
What are you to expect from God’s love? You are to expect that

1. He will keep His word concerning you.
When you have faith in the love of God for you, you will expect Him to fulfil his word in your life. You will not doubt His willingness to do what He said He will do in your life; Christ Himself said He is willing (Matthew 8:3). God will do what He said He will do (Numbers 23:19). Read more...

Does God Truly Love People

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16 (KJV). Yes, God truly loves the world. Circumstances, experiences of people, wrong information and lack of the knowledge of God have made people to wonder whether God really loves people. This post is to assure you that God surely loves and cares for people.

People for one reason or another, doubt God’s love for them. Some people conclude on the nature of God by comparing Him with men who are in positions as fathers in their lives and do not love people. These are men who do not understand what it means to be a father and have failed as fathers.

Also, the perspective of people of God as one autocratic god, who has a sledge hammer ever ready to use it without mercy, contributes to them doubting God’s love. Yes, God disciplines us, as a true father should, but with the other hand He comforts us and guides us on the right path to take.

Now, an understanding of God and His love for people will wipe away all fears and misunderstandings.
God is love (1 John 4:8). It is God’s nature to love. He doesn’t just love people, He is love personified. And just like 2 Timothy 2:13 says, God will not deny Himself even if we don’t believe. God doesn’t wait for us to love Him first before He showers His love on us. If we are sincere, we will recount times that unexpected good things happened to us despite the wrong actions we took – that was God’s love in action. Read more...
