Steps To Maintain Your Faith During A Storm Of Life

Do you have a challenge that is really weighing you down and you have been struggling to stand by faith? Storms of life are real; as long you are on earth, challenges will come. And as a man of God said, if you don’t want challenges then you will have to die first. However, every mountain is surmountable if you will stand firmly by faith till you see your answered prayer. This post gives you the steps to maintain your faith during a storm of life.

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform – Romans 4:17-21 (NKJV)

There is always a test before a testimony and a fight before any victory. Victory is sure for every Christian believer who will have faith in God. So, the issue is how to maintain your faith till you have your testimony. Many people have given up at the verge of their turnaround. But you can stand strong till you get your answered prayer.

Let’s consider the steps that gave Abraham his Isaac as recorded in Romans 4:17-21. Abraham didn’t have a child for many years after marrying Sarah. One day, at the age of 75, God promised to make him a father of many nations (Genesis 12:1-4), but Abraham had to wait for another 25 years before having Isaac through whom the promise was to be fulfilled – Genesis 21:5.

The steps to maintain your faith during storms of life

1.       Locate the word of God that promises you victory over that challenge.
This is very important because God is committed to fulfilling His words. God will not break His covenant nor alter the words that have gone out of His mouth – Psalm 89:34. If you stand on that promise of God like Abraham did, victory is sure.
God promised to make Abraham a father of many nations and he held unto it till Isaac was born.

2.       Be assured of God who promised it.
Human beings make promises but sometimes fail to fulfill it. But that is not the case with our God; what He says, He surely will do Isaiah 55:11. You need to know your God and believe in His words totally.
Abraham was assured that God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did, was more than able to give him a son.  Read more...

Get A Glimpse Of Your Future

Have you ever wished you knew the end of a thing before you even start it? The end picture of a thing determines your attitude, passion and your availability for it. A glimpse of your future facilitates the fulfillment of it. It surely will make a difference in your way of life. This post emphasizes the need for you to have a glimpse of your tomorrow.

And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever – Genesis 13:14-15 (NKJV)

Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God… - John 21:18-19 (NKJV)
Many times you may have woken up and wondered what you are doing on earth and how long you would continue like that. But you know deep inside you that you have more to offer and more to get from this life. And sometimes you are frustrated because of it. All you need is a glimpse of your future!

A glimpse of your tomorrow will make a difference in your approach to life: your energy will be boosted up for each day, your thinking cap will be up high and you will live each day with a purpose. And your movements will not be aimless anymore but fully targeted. You will live a purposeful life like God.

God is a God of purpose. He never does or allows anything without having a definite reason for it. His actions are ever well calculated, borne out of love and fully targeted. His word never goes forth out of His mouth and returns to Him void, without accomplishing what He pleases. It surely prospers in the very thing for which He sent it – Isaiah 55:11 Read more...

Why Quit Now?

Why quit now when tomorrow has great surprises for you? No matter the challenges you may be faced with, quitting now will be a big error. As long as there is life, there is hope and hope never fails. Many people have gone down this road you are going through and bursted into a Treasure Island, this can be your story too. This post aims at encouraging you to still hold on till you win.

Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name Sitnah. And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” – Genesis 26:21-22 (NKJV)

What are you going through now that you want to quit life, quit trying and aspiring to greater heights; that you want to accept the negative status quo? One thing is certain and that is that God wants the best for you. For He wishes above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers, circumstances notwithstanding  – 3 John 2.

No matter the challenge, there is an end to it, if you will hold on to your faith in God. Yes, you may have prayed, worked very hard, done all you could and it still didn’t change; keep doing them all and don’t quit now. There is nothing new under the sun, choose to be among the few that overcame and had proofs to show for it.

Isaac refused to quit digging until he got to his Rehoboth, where he had enough room to multiply greatly which he did. He needed water for his household and farm and so diligently sought one with his men until they found one that nobody quarreled over with them. Do you really need that change? If so then, quitting now surely will be a big error on your part.

God has said that He will never forsake nor leave you (Hebrews 13:5); it is left for you to trust Him to do what He said He would do. Praise and thank Him for answered prayers and be highly expectant, no matter how long it may take you will certainly emerge victorious. Read more...
