While Men Slept The Enemy Sowed Tares

Why is there so much wickedness and trouble in this world now? Why are situations getting worse instead of better? These are questions which if you are able to identify and adhere to their answers, your life and destiny will take a new turn for the better.  This post aims at answering these questions.

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way – Matthew 13:25 (NKJV)

Tremble, you women who are at ease; be troubled, you complacent ones; strip yourselves, make yourselves bare, and gird sackcloth on your waists. People shall mourn upon their breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine….until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is counted as a forest - Isaiah 32:11-15 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

When God created the world, everything was very good (Genesis 1:31), but when sin came in (through Adam’s disobedience), everything started changing from very good to worse. The more the iniquity on earth the more things will become worse.

What can be done to change the situation?

Jesus Christ gave us the answer in Matthew 13:25: while men were sleeping, the enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. That is while men were spiritually sleeping, the enemy the devil came and sowed iniquities that gave rise to troubles and chaos everywhere. And the more they remain asleep, the more freedom he has to do more evil.

There is a strong need for men to cease being at ease and complacent about what is happening and choose to take the responsibility to call down the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on earth in prayers so that wilderness will become a fruitful field and the fruitful field be counted a forest (Isaiah 32:11-15).

A fervent prayer of faith avails much (James 5:15-16). Prayer of faith will always ward off the enemy and instill the will of God (which is always for your good) on earth. The more you pray, the farther away the enemy from your territory, and vice versa.

Why you must pray

You may wonder why God won’t just stop the enemy instead of you praying. The truth is that God can’t stop the devil expect you pray. Man is in charge on earth (Genesis 1:28). What he says stands, what he allows stays, whom he invites comes. So, just like the enemy was invited initially by Adam (Genesis 3, Luke 4:5-6) and is still welcomed on earth through man’s thoughts, words and actions; so also, God needs to be invited before He can manifest on earth.  Read more...

Keys For Making a Difference in Your World

I do not want to die...until I have faithfully made the most of my talent and cultivated the seed that was placed in me until the last small twig has grown – Kathe Kollwitz. Making a difference is the desire of many people but the question is how to achieve it. You cannot give what you do not have. Building up yourself, increasing your knowledge and acting on it will increase your chances of making impact in your world. This article gives seven important keys you must possess to make impact around you.

7 Impactful Keys

1. Confidence
The ability to make a difference starts with you having confidence in yourself and your maker (God). When you don’t believe in yourself, nobody will believe in you. A wise man said,”Confidence is the backbone of conquerors”.  Look into God’s word (Bible), believe and declare what He says concerning you. God’s word is able to build you up - Acts 20:32. God did not make you a mediocre or a failure. You are made to succeed and make impact in your world.

2. Excellence
Making a difference requires that you be a person of excellence. It is like a golden apple in the midst of silver apples. It will make you outstanding and draw men to you. Therefore, build up yourself to excel in the area(s) that you desire to be impactful. Daniel excelled greatly as an administrator. His enemies could not find anything wrong in him except that he worshipped the Almighty God (Daniel 6: 1-5). His excellence commanded the attention of Kings (Daniel 1:19-21) and provoked promotion for him.  Read more...

Get A Glimpse Of Your Future

Have you ever wished you knew the end of a thing before you even start it? The end picture of a thing determines your attitude, passion and your availability for it. A glimpse of your future facilitates the fulfillment of it. It surely will make a difference in your way of life. This post emphasizes the need for you to have a glimpse of your tomorrow.

And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever – Genesis 13:14-15 (NKJV)

Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God… - John 21:18-19 (NKJV)
Many times you may have woken up and wondered what you are doing on earth and how long you would continue like that. But you know deep inside you that you have more to offer and more to get from this life. And sometimes you are frustrated because of it. All you need is a glimpse of your future!

A glimpse of your tomorrow will make a difference in your approach to life: your energy will be boosted up for each day, your thinking cap will be up high and you will live each day with a purpose. And your movements will not be aimless anymore but fully targeted. You will live a purposeful life like God.

God is a God of purpose. He never does or allows anything without having a definite reason for it. His actions are ever well calculated, borne out of love and fully targeted. His word never goes forth out of His mouth and returns to Him void, without accomplishing what He pleases. It surely prospers in the very thing for which He sent it – Isaiah 55:11 Read more...
