Can you imagine what snake venom can do to a human being? Not what you want to see or experience! Hatred venom is worse than snake venom. It not only affects the victim but grossly affects the carrier of the venom.
Unlike the snake venom, the giver suffers more than the receiver. The receiver may not even be affected if he has a good understanding of his position in Christ and has a good attitude to personal attacks. But the giver will be slowly eaten up just like the snake venom travels slowly through the body.
Hatred affects the heart bit and if not checked will develop into terminal diseases and sickness like cancer. It destroys relationships, businesses and destinies. In addition, Hatred stirs up quarrels or strife, provokes enmity between two people or groups of people. It makes the hater to act irrationally and it wears down on the heart and mind until neither can function at full capacity. Read more

The Power of the Tongue in Pulling Down Mountains and Stronghold
Imagine a person with a gun in his hands wailing because a lion is coming towards him to kill him! Pathetic, right? But this is what many Christians do when the enemy is oppressing them. We have the weapon of warfare, the power of the tongue but we do not consider it powerful enough to deliver us. The truth is that you can defeat the devil, mountains and stronghold anytime, anywhere with your tongue.
"For I have given you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist" Luke 21:15 (KJV). Here Jesus endorses the power of the tongue. No matter what the enemy may be telling or showing you, when you open your mouth and declare God's word against it, you will overcome.
It may look and sound so simple but it is very powerful. We exercise our dominion with our words. Words declared in faith are able to pull down mountains and strongholds. The enemy is always talking to us through our thoughts and what we see and hear. We must learn to answer back immediately with spoken words.
Now let's look at another scripture,
Mark 11:23 says, " For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be though cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall whatsoever he saith." (KJV)
These mountains which include sickness, poverty, failure, etc, have ears and can hear your commands. As soon as they hear you, they shall obey you and fade away. Psalms 18:44-45. They are still there because you have said nothing! Open your mouth wide and God will fill it. Psalm 81:10 Read more...

Sermon: How to Be a Neighbour
Man is made both to be a neighbour and to have neighbours. No man is an Island. For man to survive and operate successfully on earth, he must relate with people effectively. True enjoyment in life involves being a neighbour and having neighbours.
The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (6th Edition) defines a neighbour as:
Firstly, a person who lives next to you or near you;
Secondly, a person or thing that is standing or situated next to another person or thing
Thirdly, a neighbour (literary) can be any other human being.
On the other hand, the scriptures, in addition, describe a neighbour (I will refer to this description in this post), as a person who renders help in any form to another person in need.
Now to continue in this sermon, the text is taken from Luke 10:25-37.
In this passage, Jesus tells a story to answer the question “Who is my neighbour?” He tells a story of a man who was attacked by thieves, wounded and left half dead. A priest and a Levite came and passed by him. However, a Samaritan came and had compassion on him, he bound up his wounds, and took him to an inn, and took care of him. Before departing in the morning, he gave the host some money to take care of the man and promised to reimburse the host, at his return, of any additional expense he may incur in the process of taking care of the injured man. Relationship Advice-7 Reasons Why Married Couples Should Stay Together
Imagine a married man living like a bachelor. What picture can you see, a happy and contented man or an angry and frustrated man? Even for the married woman, how does she look living like a spinster? Marriage is more than the marriage certificate and the change of name. .
Now there are various reasons why couples choose to live apart, in themselves; the reasons are genuine and understandable. But considering the consequences both now and in the future, it is not the best idea for them to choose to live away from each other. Let’s look at why it is not the best choice.
1. Companionship
Marriage provides the platform for companionship. How will one enjoy this companionship when the spouse is not there? Husbands tend to end up in bars, casinos, etc just to fill up the vacuum and the wives become embittered. You got married because you wanted to spend the rest of your life with your spouse.
2. Joint decisions
Technology has made it a bit easier for married couples to communicate with one another but it cannot replace one-on-one discussion. When apart, spouses tend to make decisions without consulting the other and when they do, the other may just agree or disagree without understanding the situation on ground.

Overcoming Negative Influences
Life gives you what you make of it. Invest in it and you will reap throughout life. Waste it and you will reap the repercussions. The choice is always ours. People may influence us but they don't make the decisions for us. We do ALWAYS! Pressure may be much but we can subdue it. We have the 'will power". You should use it.
How to overcome negative influences
1. You need to know that you are unique
There is no identical you. Somebody may look like you but can never be you. For instance, you have a different finger print from anybody. It also means that you can't be anybody else no matter how much you try. Even if you change your appearance, you are still you. So accept who you are, love who you are! You are not at all inferior to anybody. It is just what you think. You are unique and special!
2. Have a purpose.
A wise man said that when a purpose is unidentified, abuse is inevitable. Discover your purpose in life and pursue it. Be focused and avoid distractions. Pursuing your purpose keeps away any unrelated and unwanted influence. An idle mind will certainly fall for any suggestion. There is no vacuum in life.
3. Choose to be a leader.
You either lead or you follow. When you lead you will be the one to influence others. Using your purpose in life, add value to other people's lives. Show them how to be their best. They will follow you. Be the good leader. Read more...

7 Reasons a Christian Believer Must Engage In Bible Study
Have you heard people asking questions like, why should a Christian study the bible? Is the church bible study not enough? Is the bible the word of God? Some would love to study the bible but seem not to have the time for it. This article is to give reasons Christian believers MUST do bible study and they are listed in no particular order
The bible is God’s words to mankind. Anybody who cares to study it gets to know more about God, what and how He thinks and why He thinks the way He does. Also, the bible teaches us how God operates and how to plug into His ways to enjoy all God’s blessings and escape destruction. Now, breaking these teachings from the word of God;
Why should we study the bible?
1. Revelation of our position in Christ
The bible is centred round the Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ, from Genesis to Revelation. The scriptures point to the salvation of mankind by Jesus. This was fulfilled in the New Testament. Jesus redeemed man and restored his relationship back to God, restoring him to his original state before the fall. Bible study reveals this to us and teaches us how to gain access to this victory and how we can exercise this triumph only in Christ. That is, it reveals who you are in Christ and what power you have in Christ Jesus. We are seated with Christ in the place of authority in heavenly places as Ephesians 2:5-6 says.
2. Revelation of our inheritance in Christ
Through studying the bible, a Christian believer discovers what belongs to him as a believer. Paul said in Acts 20:32 that the word of God is able to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. This inheritance includes healing, prosperity, long life, peace etc and ultimately eternal life. When people are ignorant of what they stand to enjoy as Christians, the devil will always cheat or destroy them, just like God said in Hosea 4:6 that His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
