Post Resurrection Blessings And Authority Of Lord Jesus Christ

What do you stand to gain from the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ? Truly, the purpose of Christ's coming to earth is what we will gain after His resurrection, which is the salvation of our souls. However, we also have post resurrection blessings and the authority of Lord Jesus Christ available to us.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen - Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV).

Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me - Luke 24:44 (NKJV).

To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God - Acts 1:3 (NKJV).

Introduction

Our Lord Jesus Christ went as were prophesied by the prophets. And all things were fulfilled as said concerning Him. Also, He suffered as said and now He has entered into His glory (Luke 24:26). These show that Jesus is really the Christ and the son of God (John 20:31). And that any other thing yet to be fulfilled concerning Him will surely come to pass too.

Now, after the resurrection, Jesus showed Himself and communed with the disciples many days before ascending into heaven. And during this period He taught and gave them instructions, which are relevant to us also.

1. Those who tarry longer see Jesus

When Peter, John, and Mary Magdalene went to the tomb of Christ, only Mary got to see Jesus there. This is because she waited longer than the other two people. And she ended up being the first to see Jesus after the resurrection. Therefore, the longer you tarry in God's presence, in the word and prayer, the more you encounter the Son.
