What Are You Running With-An Ambition or a Vision?

Do you desire to excel, succeed and prosper in what you are doing by the end of this year? Is your quest to fulfill your own desire hindering the fulfillment of God's desire in your life? Many times we put our ambitions ahead of our God given vision or assignment. Unfortunately, you will never be your best pursuing your desires, nor will they be accepted by God. This post encourages you to pursue God's plan for you rather than your ambition because of your love for Him.

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.” - John 21:15-17 (NKJV).

Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the Lord hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them - Jeremiah 2:37 (KJV).

Many times, Christians pursue other things other than what God had assigned them to do and they will be praying that the Lord will help them succeed in them. This is putting ambition ahead of vision. However, God doesn't back up any assignment He didn't give you.
No matter how right your work may be, if it hinders or takes the place of God's assignment it will not be accepted before God and you will not prosper in them. Obedience is paramount to the Father, and if you love Him you will obey Him despite the seemed inconvenience. It is one thing to do the right thing and another to do the right thing at the right time. Your love for God helps you to do the right thing at the right time. Read more...

Having Done All, Stand

Do you feel you've done all and you want to quit? No, it's not time to quit but time to stand. When you have done all, the next thing to do is to remain standing. As long as you are standing, you will not be defeated. This post urges you to keep standing when you have done all you know to do.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—Ephesians 6:13-18 (NKJV).

Are you struggling with your business, career, health, children and you are about to give up? Quitting is not an option. If it is for a good cause and the Holy Spirit is not prompting you that you are in the wrong, then you must stand. Victory has been declared concerning that issue, yours is to stand to see it fulfilled. This may seem difficult but you need to stand, being strong in the Lord and guarding yourself with the whole armour of God.

In a wrestling match, as long as the one on the floor can keep raising the hand, the other cannot be declared the winner. Your Father is not a loser and as a lion He gives in to no one. You as His offspring should do likewise. You are born to win. Stand therefore with the whole armour of God in place.

The whole armour of God

The armour of God enables you to stand strong no matter how long it may take. It is the dressing for victory over your enemies. It will ensure that the enemy does not steal, kill or destroy anything that concerns you.  These include:

1. Helmet of salvation – is being born again having heard the word of life, which is giving your life to Jesus and accepting Him as your personal Lord and Saviour. John 3:3.

2. Breastplate of righteousness – is being and living right as stated in God's word and having a right standing with God. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.

3. Belt of truth - embracing and living by the word, which is the truth. John 8:32. Read more...

Praise-An Act Of Faith In God Almighty

Do you believe in God Almighty? If you do, then you should be a praiser of God. Praising God is an act of faith in God and His ability to do what He said He will do. If you believe, you will praise the Lord. This post emphasizes the need for you to praise the Father as a believing Christian.

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God - Romans 4:19-20 .NKJV).

Nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer - I Corinthians 10:10 (NKJV).

Many Christians say they believe God and His words but their actions say otherwise. They are more in doubt than they are in faith. The challenges around them are choking the word in them and they have forgotten that the just shall live by his own faith (Habakkuk 2:4) and that without faith no man can please God (Hebrews 11:6). If you believe, you will open your mouth wide and declare it, 2 Corinthians 4:13.

Praise unto the Lord declares Him bigger than all

Praise, especially when you are challenged, shows that God is bigger than your problems. But when you complain and murmur, you are saying that the problem is bigger than God. Paul and Silas were locked up in prison for preaching the gospel. Instead of murmuring against God, they chose to praise Him. They saw Him as being bigger than the chains and truly, He manifested Himself bigger by breaking the chains and opening the doors of the prison-house, Acts 16:25-26. Read more...

Praise As A Life Style Is What You Need At This Time

Do you know that life without praise unto God is a disaster? Praise unto the Lord is the solution for the challenges of life at this time. As such, making praise a life style is absolutely a wise decision. This post emphasizes the need to be praising the Father as a lifestyle.

But You are holy, O You who are enthroned in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered] - Psalm 22:3 (AMP).
Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him - Psalms 67:5-7 (NKJV).

The vine has dried up, and the fig tree has withered; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree— All the trees of the field are withered; surely joy has withered away from the sons of men - Joel 1:12 (NKJV).

The enemy has so screwed this earth that many people are living in fear, anger, hunger, sickness and disease, poverty, depression and frustration. It now looks as if it is the normal thing. However, it was not so originally. It is the absence of adequate praise unto the Lord that resulted in what we are seeing and experiencing this day.

Praise changes the atmosphere of a place. It determines what force or power that takes charge of an environment or situation. Praise unto God brings Him to the scene while praise to the devil attracts the enemy. Are you wondering how people praise the devil? Any time you are declaring the works of the enemy you are praising him. You are expected to declare the works of God at all times.

What happens when you praise God?

1. God dwells with you - Psalm 22:3
God dwells wherever praise is offered. This leads to abundant joy because you find joy in the presence of God (Psalm 16:11). Where there is joy, there is fruitfulness and no dryness. Dryness connotes among other things famine and poverty. Also, if God is for you, who can be against you (Romans 8:31). When God is with you, the enemy can't afflict you. Read more...

The Holy Spirit-My Closest Friend And Guide

Who is your closest friend or guide? We all have friends but they are not all on the same level of friendship, some are closer than others and one is closer than the rest. However, there is a personality that is closer to me than any friend that I may ever have, and He is the Holy Spirit. In this post I will be sharing more on the Holy Spirit as my closest friend and guide.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" - Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come - John 16:13 (NKJV).

I have many friends but none is dear to me as the Holy Spirit. My human friends are wonderful and very helpful, but I won't trade the Holy Spirit for any of them. My friends are so limited in their ability to help and guide me. They don't stay with me all the time, they have other things to do too and they can only help me up to the level of knowledge they have.

On the other hand, the Holy Spirit is always with me 24/7. God said He will never leave nor forsake us in Hebrews 13:5. This He has done in the person of the Holy Spirit. He is our Guide that leads us according to the will of God and His unlimited wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He goes with me everywhere I go, so I can reach out for His help any time I want.

He has ears and eyes, so He hears and sees me. His hands are ever available to deliver me from any challenge. He being God is also the Alpha and the Omega, and so is in best position to guide me. He has the answers to all my questions and solutions to the challenges that come my way. Read more...

Ultimate Helper-My Help Is From The Lord Who Made Heaven And Earth

Where do you first run to when you need help? Where you run to first to get help shows where your faith lies. It is important that you go first to the one who is truly capable to help you out. This post is aimed at directing you to the ultimate Helper.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth - Psalms 121:1-2 (NKJV).

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need - Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV).

People, most of the time, run first to men they believe are capable of helping them; maybe for their money, position or power. Unfortunately, they are so limited that they ought not to be the number one person to run to. They could die any moment; lose their jobs, positions or money. Also, their selfish nature can be a stumbling block when you need them and they can be negatively influenced by another person against you. Also, they are limited by the information available to them.

On the other hand, God Almighty, who made heaven and earth, is able to help you better than any other person or force. He indeed is the ultimate helper. He is not limited in any way. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Creator of the universe and knows the end from the beginning. The hearts of kings are in His hands and He turns them wherever He wants (Proverbs 21:1). There is nothing impossible with Him (Luke 1:37), and to crown it all, He promised to help us (Isaiah 41:10). Read more...

Understanding The Giving Grace

Are you a giver? Giving should be a way of life but it is not so with many people because of the economic situation of the nations, wrong attitude to money and selfishness. Some people would love to give freely but lack the power to do so. But with the giving grace, it is easy to give cheerfully and with joy. This article tells you what you need to know about this giving grace.

About the giving grace of God

1. God is the source
Giving is an attribute of God. Man naturally is selfish and always wants to be on the receiving side. But for you to give as a way of life, you need the grace of God. God is able to make the giving grace come on you abundantly.

2. It is a gift
The grace to give is a gift from God not a wage. God gives it to whoever desires freely. You do not have to work for it to be given to you, just reach out and receive it. Paul calls it unspeakable, indescribable, inexpressible, free gift.

3. It is not a function of how much money one has
Many wealthy people are stingy. They would rather die than give. Yet, a seemingly poor man with the giving grace will still give out of his poverty. The good news is that giving is a covenant practice for prosperity. Give your way to abundance.

4. It is an expression of love
Having this amazing grace to give enables you to prove the sincerity of your love easily without hesitating or grudging. By this grace, Jesus was able to strip Himself of His riches so that through his poverty we might be rich, all because of His awesome love for us.

Do It All Because You Love The Lord

Are you serving God because you love Him or is there another reason behind your service? Every service has a reward but the question is, "What reward will it be and who will give it?" Many Christians are diligently serving in the kingdom but they will not be rewarded by God because they are not doing it because they love the Lord. This post encourages you to do all you do because you love the Lord.

But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here - John 14:31 (NKJV).

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ - Colossians 3:23-24 (NKJV).

Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward - Matthew 6:2 (NKJV).

Believing Christians are encouraged to serve God first by the word of the Lord and secondly by ministers of the gospel because that is what the word of God commands. However, your service will only be rewarded if it's done out of your love for the Almighty and as He had commanded.
Many Christians are serving the Father for many other reasons: to please or be recognized by some persons, to paint a picture of a very serious and hardworking Christian, to get help from fellow Christians or to assume positions of authority and exercise power over others. Some people even serve in churches with the primary aim of getting married to someone from there. Read more...

How do I find Jesus?

How do I find Jesus? Or where can I find Jesus? Are you asking these questions or have you been asked these questions and you want a ready answer? Everyone truly need to find Jesus NOW! This post is aimed at giving the way to Jesus.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me – Revelations 3:20 (NKJV).

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved – Romans 10:9-10 (NIV).

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” - Matthew 9:13 (NKJV).

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out – John 6:37 (NKJV).

Everyone needs to find Jesus because He is the ONLY way to get to God and all He can offer. Also, people need to find Him urgently because the world is wrapping up fast and there will be no mercy once the door of heaven is closed.

Therefore seeking how to find Jesus is the best decision you can probably make. The good news is that it is not difficult to find Jesus, neither is He far from you. He is already at the door of your heart knocking, asking you to open up to Him. As a matter of fact, your reading this article is He giving you the opportunity to open up to Him.

Do you need any special preparation to answer His call? No, not all. You are to come as you are. He came to call sinners to repentance and He will not turn back anyone that comes to Him. Even if your sins are so many and grievous; as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow or red like crimson, they shall be as wool – Isaiah 1:18. Read more...

You Must Not Draw Back On Your Faith

Have you ever quit on your faith because you felt that the present circumstance is more than you can handle? Many times Christians draw back on their faith before they receive the answers to their prayers; unfortunately, this act displeases God. This post encourages you to hold on to your faith till the end to receive your heart desire.

Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him - Hebrews 10:38 (NKJV).

“For thus says the LORD: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink - II Kings 3:17 (NKJV).

Many Christians start off in faith, but down the line before they see their desired result they draw back on their faith. Sadly, they lose their blessings when they do so. God says He has no pleasure in anyone who draws back on his or her faith. This means that God has pleasure in anyone who exercises his faith till he receives his desires, without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

The just shall live by faith. Our Christian walk is a walk of faith and faith is acting on God's word. We are to hold unto that word of God till we receive our desired result knowing who said it and what He is capable of doing. God wants us to trust in His words. The Lord says what He means and means what He says. He watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).

Christians draw back on their faith because their focus moved from the word of God to issues on ground, and at that moment they doubted the ability of the word of the Lord to deliver. In other words, they doubted the Master's ability to do as He had said. Read more...

Why You Should Not Be Empty Of God’s Words

To be empty of God’s word is to be engulfed by the feeling of emptiness. This is a feeling that makes existence unbearable. Life has a lot to offer you but if you lack the words of God, you will get nothing out of it but empty life. This post gives you the reasons why you should not be void of the Lord’s words.

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life – John 6:63 (NKJV)

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord – Ephesians 5:18-19 (NKJV)

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart – Hebrews 4:12 (AMP)

Emptiness is a feeling of lack of meaning or purpose, it can get to a point of emotional numbness, frustration or despair and it can be as a result of bereavement or a sudden change in life. Emptiness is a sense of hopelessness, low self esteem and lack of motivation.

Many people have tried to fill this empty feeling through eating, spontaneous shopping, immorality, drug addiction and bullying. Unfortunately, these ways never help; instead they leave you worse off than how you were before.

However, the word of God has proven to be the solution to the feelings of emptiness. The word of the Lord is so energizing and powerful that it has the ability to attend to your spirit, soul and body. It is able to expose, analyze and judge the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. The Psalmist in Psalm 119 understood the efficacy of God’s word and took time to reveal the wonders in His word (Psalm 119:18). I encourage you to read and meditate on Psalm 119.

The reasons why you should not be empty of God’s words
  1. The Lord’s words are spirit and life - John 6:63
This world is governed by spiritual forces and you can only make it by walking in the spirit. The word of God is spirit, so walking in God’s word is to understand the principles of the world and subduing it - Genesis 1:28. Also when you have the word of God within you, you have life: life in your spirit, mind, bones and marrows and organs. Life within you extinguishes any emptiness. That is why God encouraged us in Ephesians 5:18 to be filled with the Spirit who gives life. Read more...

Signs And Wonders-Products Of Teaching And Preaching The Word Of God

Do you desire signs and wonders to be done through your hands? This is a good desire; however there are certain things that you need to do to see the manifestation of signs and wonders in your life. This post tells you one of such things, which is teaching and preaching the word of God.

And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen - Mark 16:20 (NKJV).

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover - Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV).

Many believing Christians desire to see manifestation of signs and wonders in their lives but they are afraid, shy or ashamed to teach and preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. They wonder what people would say if they see them carrying bibles and preaching the word of God, yet the gospel of Christ is the power unto salvation (Romans 1:16), therefore it must be preached for people to be saved.

Signs and wonders are what follow those who believe in Jesus: they can cast out devils, lay hands on the sick and they will recover, pick up serpents and drink any deadly thing and they will not be hurt, also, they will be able to speak with new tongues. Believing in the Lord qualifies you to have signs manifested through you. However, these manifestations are not merely for personal benefits, they are for the furtherance of the gospel of Christ. Deriving Joy From The Word Of God

Do you know that the word of God is a major source of joy to your soul? Every word of the Lord received never leaves you the same. A word from Him daily keeps you going all through the day. This post encourages you to go for the joy from the word of the Almighty God.

Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts - Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV).

I rejoice at your word as one who finds great treasure - Psalms 119:162 (NKJV).

People are discouraged, frustrated and dismayed because they don't have the needed word from God. The Lord created the whole world and upholds all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3), including man. Therefore, for you to be at your best you have to be maintained by the Lord's words.

God's word cleanses and makes whole (Ephesians 5:26). It builds up joy in your heart, which works in your body like medicine (Proverbs 17:22). The word of the Lord when received is like acquiring great treasures that will lift you and make your life comfortable. There is so much joy when you believe and apply the word of God in your life; it is your manual for a joyous and successful life.

The word of the Lord is so potent because He is the Creator of the universe, the Alpha and the Omega, who knows the end from the beginning and sees what you don't see. He has been and will remain even after all have gone. His word is final in heaven (Lamentations 3:37), on earth and beneath the earth, and nothing can challenge His word (Isaiah 14:27). Therefore have faith in God and His word (Mark 11:22). Read more...

The Power Of Naming Your Day

How would you want your day to be? How you begin a day, to a great deal, determines how it will end. And you being a product of God's mastermind have the power to stir your day on your desired path with the use of your mouth. What you call your day is what it will answer. This post gives the importance of speaking forth what you want to see every day of your life.

A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:20-21 (NKJV)

Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name - Genesis 2:19 (NKJV)

Naming your every day is the secret of a victorious life in this world.

It is one of the mysteries of earthly dominion. Like Adam, whatever you call your day is what it will bear. It is a statement that gives a glimpse of what your day will be or a prayer that the day should live up to the potential expressed. Calling your day a name establishes your control over the day. You are not leaving it to chance.

You are filled from the produce of your lips and the fruits of your mouth determine how satisfied you will be with your day. Furthermore, death and life are in the power of the tongue and wise use of it will cause you to experience victory, success, good health and prosperity every day of your life - Proverbs 18:20-21. And Jesus said in Luke 21:15 that He would give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. So, use it and enjoy dominion every day.

Naming your day is prophesying into that day and you will have whatsoever you say - Mark 11:23. This is an instrument of dominion that is often neglected to the detriment of your everyday success in life. You need to name your day, so that God will subdue your enemies and turn His hands against your adversaries - Psalm 81:10-14.  Read more...

This Is The Day The Lord Has Made

What is your expectation of this day? Are you all out for the best or worse? Your understanding of what the day holds for you determines to a great extent what will actually come to you and how you will respond to it. However, your understanding of the day depends on your understanding that this is day the Lord has made.
This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it - Psalms 118:24 (NKJV).

But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day - Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV).

For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off - Proverbs 23:18 (NKJV).

Many people start the day sad, frustrated and unexcited, all based on the happenings of the past.
They expect the devil to continue from where he stopped, or for men to continue their wickedness against them, as if they made the day. But, the truth is that this is the day the Lord has made!

Everything the Lord made, He ensured it was very good. When He made Adam and considered it not good for him to be alone (Genesis 2:18), He went ahead to make Eve so as to make them very good as other creations of His. The Almighty is a God of purpose and an unbeatable planner. Every day He creates is for a purpose, well planned and for your good. It is made as a shining light to shine brighter by the day. Furthermore, all things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28).

Faith in God's words concerning the day He made will cause you to start the day with great excitement. It is the Lord that made the day, so rejoice and be glad in it; expect the will of God to prevail in it. If yesterday didn't go well, believe God to help you sort out the issues and go on rejoicing knowing full well that it will turn into a testimony for you. Paul said in Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice! Again I say rejoice." Laughter is not expected to depart from your habitation. Read more...

That Day Must Not Come On You Unexpectedly

Are you living with the consciousness of life after now? How ready are you for the day of the Lord? Many Christians are living as if some parts of God's word will not be fulfilled, while others are living as if God will wait for them to enjoy the world first and then repent before Jesus comes back again. Unfortunately, these ones are only deceiving themselves; God will come at a time you will not know. This post encourages you to take heed to yourself so that that day doesn’t come on you unexpectedly.

But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life and that Day come on you unexpectedly. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man - Luke 21:34, 36 (NKJV).

What is your ultimate goal in life as a Christian? Your answer determines how you'll live your life. A Christian whose ultimate goal is to spend eternity with the Father will live his or her life as the wise virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) who had enough oil in their lamps while waiting for the coming of the bridegroom. The person lives as if the day of the Lord can be the next minute and so is not entangled with the things of this world.

Jesus warns in Luke 21:34 that we should be careful not to allow the cares of this life, the fleshly desires and challenges of life to hinder us from being prepared for the day of the Lord. Many Christians indulge so much in meeting their physical and mental needs that they pay little or no attention to their spiritual needs; they are so occupied with what to eat, drink and wear, position, fame and possessions that they have no time for God. They easily forget the question Christ asked in Matthew 16:26, "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his soul?" Read more...

Day By Day Our Daily Bread

How far has your anxiety solved any problem for you? Many people keep themselves busy worrying about tomorrow when God wants us to live by the day. The day has enough troubles of its own. This post encourages you to believe God for the day and allow tomorrow to worry about its own things.

Give us day by day our daily bread - Luke 11:3 (NKJV).

Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble - Matthew 6:31-34 (NKJV).

Many people are so worried about tomorrow that they don't even enjoy today. When today goes, it is gone forever. God wants you to live your life one day at a time. When Jesus taught the disciples how to pray, they were to ask God to give them day by day their daily bread. In Exodus 16, God demonstrated His ability to provide for His people daily. When the people worried about tomorrow by their action, God was not happy with them. The Lord knows that you have need of what to eat, drink and wear.
