Don’t Fly Alone, Carry Them Along

Are you running the race alone? What about your people? Many times, we are so engulfed in growing in the Lord and many other things that we forget that there are people under our roof that should grow in the Lord too. This post tells you to carry them along.

But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you - Genesis 6:18 (NKJV)

So Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh, and he said to them, “Go, serve the Lord your God. Who are the ones that are going?” And Moses said, “We will go with our young and our old; with our sons and our daughters, with our flocks and our herds we will go, for we must hold a feast to the Lord.” Exodus 10:8-9 (NKJV)

Truly, the activities of the day sometimes are numerous that you will want to reduce some of them. Unfortunately, many Christians will start with the activities that involve God to the point that they cease or limit the number of times they fellowship with God as a family. This is a wrong step to take, because you miss the blessings of having family altar.

When God was to save Noah from the destruction of the world by flood, He included his family. And when Moses was asking Pharaoh to let his people go, he insisted on going with their wives and children. God expects you to carry them along.

It is good to build yourself up spiritually; it is equally good for your household to build themselves up spiritually. The bible says that one will chase a thousand and two will put ten thousand to flight (Deuteronomy 32:30). Besides, you will enjoy rest. Read more...

Your Green Pasture Is In You

Are you a looking for a greener pasture this year? Or are you wondering where to go for a better life? It is the heart desire of many people to have a better year this year than it was last year, and they are at a crossroad, wondering where to turn into. This post gives you a lead on which way to turn into.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4, NKJV,emphasizes mine)

Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father…Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. (Genesis 26:2-3, 12, NKJV)

The desire for greener pasture didn’t start today. People have desired it since ancient times, most especially during famine. Isaac found himself in such a situation at one time. There was famine in the land during Isaac’s time and most likely, he wanted to go to Egypt in search of a greener pasture, but the Lord, the God of his father Abraham advised him not to go to Egypt. God asked him to remain in that supposedly land of famine and that He would be with him and bless him. The scriptures make us to understand in Genesis 26:12, that Isaac obeyed and sowed in that same land and reaped a hundredfold the same year and the Lord blessed him as He had promised.

So, your green pasture is in you, not really outside where you are presently.

I heard my Pastor say in one of the services that your green pasture is in you, and I was prompted to write on it. There is an adage in my community that what you are looking for afar of is actually within you. And that is the case with searching for greener pasture. What you need to do is to look inwards, so as not to make mistakes. Read more...

The Place Of Hope In This New Year

Why are you so downcast? This is a year pregnant with great treasures and full of glory.  This New Year speaks of new things, new beginnings, new exploits, new life, new stories and testimonies! Will you allow hopelessness to rob you of these blessings? I think not, so get set for the best of times this year.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God – Psalm 42:11 (NKJV)

For a righteous man may fall seven times. And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity – Proverbs 24:16 (NKJV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths – Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

No matter what may have happened last year or how you fell, let go of it; just dust your buttocks and gather your things and go again. A righteous man falls seven times and rises again. How many times have you fallen? Arise and get on your journey for there is light at the end of the tunnel and fresh water is waiting for you there. But how will you see and enjoy it if you throw in your towel and are hopeless?

God is the Lord, that is why you were not consumed (Malachi 3:6) last year. The enemy wanted your end but God’s mercy prevailed. Why would He who saved you last year not take you through this year? Only hope in God Almighty. You must have hope if this year is to yield her increase to you. Read more...

The Wisest Decision To Implement This Year.

What decisions have you made for this year? Which ones must you implement? What you will encounter tomorrow is a result of the decisions you make and implement today. Every wise step gives rise to joy in future and foolish step breeds regrets. This post tells you one major decision you need to make and implement this year if you are to enjoy this year and experience success and glory.

That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:3-7, NKJV)

What can that decision be you may ask?
It is to deepen your fellowship with God at the early days of this year. How deep you go will determine the victories you enjoy for the rest of the year. You don’t know your tomorrow outside what the word of God says, but God does, for He is the Alpha and the Omega; the beginning and the ending. He has the secret and wisdom for your righteousness, success, peace and joy. You will only have access to them if you will allow Him to reveal them to you, and the channel is through fellowship.

How do you know you are truly fellowshipping with God?
You will walk in the light and not in darkness, and you will fellowship with brethren (1 John 1:3-7). This means to live according to the word of God, obeying his every instruction.

God is not selfish
God has not asked you to seek Him in vain (Isaiah 45:19). He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). When you seek Him with your heart, God says you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). And then, God in Proverbs 8:17, King James Version, says that those who seek Him early shall find Him.
That’s why you should seek Him at the beginning of this year so that you wouldn’t go through this year alone. Now, what will you gain fellowshipping with God? Here you are:

Benefits of fellowshipping with God
  • To plead your case (Isaiah 41:21)
When you get into God’s presence through praise, you have the opportunity to plead your case according to God’s word. You reason with God (Isaiah 1:8), bringing your strong reasons (Isaiah 41:21) and like Lot (Genesis 19:18-22) and Abraham (Genesis 18:1-33) get God to meet you at least half way if not all the way.
