Your Green Pasture Is In You

Are you a looking for a greener pasture this year? Or are you wondering where to go for a better life? It is the heart desire of many people to have a better year this year than it was last year, and they are at a crossroad, wondering where to turn into. This post gives you a lead on which way to turn into.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4, NKJV,emphasizes mine)

Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father…Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. (Genesis 26:2-3, 12, NKJV)

The desire for greener pasture didn’t start today. People have desired it since ancient times, most especially during famine. Isaac found himself in such a situation at one time. God asked him to remain in that supposedly land of famine and that He would be with him and bless him. The scriptures make us to understand in Genesis 26:12, that Isaac obeyed and sowed in that same land and reaped a hundredfold the same year and the Lord blessed him as He had promised.

So, your green pasture is in you, not really outside where you are presently.

I heard my Pastor say in one of the services that your green pasture is in you, and I was prompted to write on it. There is an adage in my community that what you are looking for afar of is actually within you. And that is the case with searching for greener pasture. What you need to do is to look inwards, so as not to make mistakes. Read more...
