Men And Brethren What Shall We Do?

Knowledge is powerful and its application most profitable. Knowing the impact names have on your life is one thing and doing something about it is another. You have the choice to choose life or death, choose life that you may live. This post stresses the need for you to exercise the power at your disposal to determine how names impact your destiny.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? – Acts 2:37 (NKJV)

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live – Deuteronomy 30:19 (NKJV)

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves – James 1:22 (NKJV)

When Peter finished preaching to the multitude, they asked him and the other apostles what they should do. Every word of God you hear will only benefit you when you act on it. The knowledge of the power of names that you have now has set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; and is encouraging you to choose life that you and your generation may live – Deuteronomy 30:19. Truly, the choice is yours!

What should you do?
  • Prayerfully choose the names you give a person, place or event.
“Any name” is not accepted. You need to seek God’s face before naming a person, place or event. You have the power to put that person, place or event on a pedestal; don’t jeopardize the subject’s destiny. God has a plan and purpose for every individual, place and event He sanctions; a name from Him will give you the summary of this plan and purpose. Impact names are worth the time spent to get them from God.
