How To Walk In Faith

How does one exercise faith and obtain results? Christianity is a walk of faith because the just shall live by faith, (Romans 1:17). And it is impossible to please or attract God without faith, (Hebrews 11:6). Therefore, it is inevitably important that you learn how to walk in faith if you are to live a victorious christian life.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God – Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God” – Mark 11:22 (NKJV)

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform – Romans 4:17-21 (NKJV)

Many people struggle with the issue of walking in faith. I remember desperately asking my husband some years back “how does one exercise faith and obtain results?”  You wonder what else to be done, especially when you really need divine intervention.

A walk in faith is acting on God’s word: His promises as recorded in the bible and His given rhema. The word of God is the foundation for faith. Without the word of God in you, it is impossible to put your faith to work. It is not enough to know the scriptures, they need to come alive in you. You need to believe that God means what He says and that they will SURELY work for you. God cannot lie, (Titus 1:2)

It all starts with your revelation and understanding of who God is and what He is capable of doing. You must believe that He is and is a rewarder of those who diigently seek Him, (Hebrews 11:6). God is His word, (John 1:1). You cannot separate God from His word. He is the almighty God, the Alpha and the Omega and He works by His word. He only listens for faith in His word and faith comes only by hearing the word of God. Read more...

Are You Giving God Your Best?

Everybody appreciates a job well done. And when you receive one you feel valued and honoured. Many times we demand the best from people but then, what kind of job do we do for God? Can you refer it as your best? This post gives you an insight on how you can give God your best.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life – John 3:16 (NKJV)

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me – 1 Corinthians 15:10 (NKJV)

If some of the people who are doing such a sloppy job for the Lord were to do the same kind of sloppy job for their employer – they’d be fired before the afternoon was out – Kathryn Kuhlman

Being able to give your best at all times tells a lot about you. It determines your success in life and endears good to you. It defines the circle of people around you and what comes to you. When you give the best you can you are more likely to receive the best also from people: what you sow is what you reap.

Ironically, many will thrive to give their best to men but won’t bother much about what they give God. May be because they can’t see God with their physical eyes or they think He would understand or not mind at all. But the truth is that God expects and demands your very best. Those who give God their best experience God more in their lives. They enjoy and are channels for God’s power and blessings.

God showed us a great example by giving Jesus Christ as a sacrificial lamb for the restoration of humanity to her original position in God. He was His only begotten son and God gave Him for a world deep in sin, which was consistently doing things that displeased Him. He did this so that whoever believes in Jesus will not perish but have everlasting life. Read more...

Divine Helps For Stonger Prayer Life

Do you struggle to pray? Do you wish your prayer life is stronger? Many people desire to pray effectively but don’t know how to overcome the weakness they experience while praying. This post gives the solution to this challenge.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil – Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV)

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses… - Romans 8:26 (NKJV)

He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me – John 6:56-57 (NKJV)

The importance of prayer cannot be overemphasized.  A solid prayer life is the foundation for a victorious Christian life. The enemy is aware of this, which is why he would do everything possible to hinder you from praying. One major way he achieves this is through the flesh.

Your spirit may be willing but if your flesh is weak, you will have a struggle to pray effectively. Therefore, the need for you to subdue the flesh becomes very crucial. The flesh wants to sleep when you want to pray. It wants to eat when you are fasting and praying. It wants to do any other thing other than empower your spirit.

You cannot subdue the flesh by your own strength. You need divine help to overcome the weakness in your prayer life.

The divine helps:

·         Help of Jesus – Ask Jesus to help you subdue your flesh so that you can pray well.
You can pray effectively when Jesus strengthens you. Jesus prayed and strengthened Peter so he could lead the disciples and spread the gospel efficiently. Peter who was not able to stand for Christ before a maiden was now able to stand for Him before multitudes, including the priests. Read more...

Expectation For New Year

Every New Year is different from the last year and so should be started on a new footing. Last year may not have been pleasant or as you expected, however, one thing that is sure is that the New Year holds the opportunity for a tremendous change. And the paramount key for success is your expectation.

For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off – Proverbs 23:18 (AMP)

And when they had gone over, Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you. And Elisha said, I pray you, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me – 2 Kings 2:9 (AMP)

Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it – Jeremiah 1:12 (AMP)

Success in the New Year lies on your expectation. What you expect is what you receive. Likewise, what you don’t expect you will certainly not receive. I have learned from God’s word and personal experience that your expectation surely comes to pass. It may take a while but it WILL come to pass.

So, the paramount question is, “what is your expectation for the New Year?”

Your answer to the above question gives a vivid picture of how the year will turn out for you. This is because it will determine your thoughts, words and actions throughout the year. Also, it will affect your strength and vitality, your perspective to people, things and places in general. Your expectation really is a very important key for success in New Year. Read more...
