How To Walk In Faith

How does one exercise faith and obtain results? Christianity is a walk of faith because the just shall live by faith, (Romans 1:17). And it is impossible to please or attract God without faith, (Hebrews 11:6). Therefore, it is inevitably important that you learn how to walk in faith if you are to live a victorious christian life.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God – Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God” – Mark 11:22 (NKJV)

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform – Romans 4:17-21 (NKJV)

Many people struggle with the issue of walking in faith. I remember desperately asking my husband some years back “how does one exercise faith and obtain results?”  You wonder what else to be done, especially when you really need divine intervention.

A walk in faith is acting on God’s word: His promises as recorded in the bible and His given rhema. The word of God is the foundation for faith. Without the word of God in you, it is impossible to put your faith to work. It is not enough to know the scriptures, they need to come alive in you. You need to believe that God means what He says and that they will SURELY work for you. God cannot lie, (Titus 1:2)

It all starts with your revelation and understanding of who God is and what He is capable of doing. You must believe that He is and is a rewarder of those who diigently seek Him, (Hebrews 11:6). God is His word, (John 1:1). You cannot separate God from His word. He is the almighty God, the Alpha and the Omega and He works by His word. He only listens for faith in His word and faith comes only by hearing the word of God. Read more...
