A Surrendered Life Is The Vessel God Will Use

Do you desire to be a vessel strongly used by God to do great things? This is a good desire, but many Christians find this desire far-fetched from them. Interestingly, Christ is looking for people to use to show His power and bring down God's glory on earth; unfortunately, very few people are ready to be used by Him. This post gives what it takes to be a ready vessel God will use - a surrendered life.

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple - Luke 14:33 (NKJV).

So he answered and said, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind...'" - Luke 10:27 (NKJV).

No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier - II Timothy 2:4 (NKJV).

It's wonderful picturing oneself doing great signs and wonders in the name of Jesus. But there is a price tag if you are to experience this manifestation of God in your life. It is to totally surrender your life to Jesus, being empty of yourself but full of Christ. It means Jesus being truly your 'Lord', whose word is final in your life.

Many times, Christians sing the song, 'I surrender all to Jesus' but are withholding some parts of their lives: money, career, desires, and family, sleep and so on. They still want to have control over those areas of their lives. God can't use you beyond what you are ready to surrender.

The more you surrender to God, the more He will use you. As you surrender any parts of your life, the Holy Spirit takes over those parts. When you totally surrender all of you, the Lord totally takes control of you and you will be full of God, manifesting Him! Any part of your life you withhold from God will not manifest God or enjoy His protection. Read more...

Easter Celebration-The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ Is For Your Victory

Is the resurrection of Jesus Christ worth celebrating this Easter celebration? Yes, more than you can imagine. It was a spiritual victory that affects everything that happens to you as a Christian spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally. It is your victory over all oppression of the devil. This post enlightens you more on this victory.

For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ - Romans 5:17 (NKJV).

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death - Revelation 1:18 (NKJV).

Easter season comes and goes without many people realizing the effect of the price Jesus paid and they end up not exercising their faith in the finished work of Christ in order to reap the benefits. All that Adam lost to the devil were fully restored at the resurrection of Christ.

Adam was made to be in charge of the earth (Genesis 1:28) but he disobeyed God and obeyed the devil and in the process handed over all the power and authority given to him by God to the devil (Luke 4:6), thereby making the devil the god of this world. Adam's action led to his spiritual death. It stripped him naked and chased him out of abundance. He was totally defeated. However, God immediately planned for his restoration, such that all that the enemy took from man were to be fully restored back.

Only a man was qualified to take back all from the devil (Romans 8:3-4) because Adam (man) willingly sold out and the tenure of man had not run out. During temptation of Jesus, the devil stated that it was given to him legally, so he had right to it. But when Jesus, in form of man got to hell He legally took them all back (Matthew 28:18) because He paid fully with His righteous blood (Colossians 1:14). Read more...

The Power Of Having The Spirit Of God Living In You

The Spirit of God indwelling you is power, how much of Him have you experienced? Many Christians are aware of the presence of God's Spirit within them, but very few are beneficiaries of the power He carries. The Holy Spirit living in you is a blessing to you. This post talks about an important benefit of having the Spirit of the Lord living inside of you.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you - Romans 8:11 (NKJV).

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart - Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV).

For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it - Hebrews 4:2 (NKJV).

The word of God is very powerful and has the solution to every issue in your life. There is no part of you it cannot reach and attend to; remember that you are a product of God's word and you are maintained by it (Hebrews 1:1-3). However, often times Christians don't enjoy fully the blessings of the word of the Lord because we don't mix all the words we hear with faith. For the word to profit you, you must believe in it and apply it to your life, i.e., exercising your faith in it.

The bible is full of wisdom seeds which when applied in our lives bring forth fruits that will transform us totally including our bodies. One of such seeds is in Romans 8:11. As a child of God who has received Jesus as Lord and Saviour, you have the Spirit that raised Him up living in you. Read more...

The Benefits Of Having Jesus Christ Indwelling You

Do you have Jesus Christ inside of you? When you have Jesus you have everything, He is the greatest asset to have in life. As a child of God, the greatest news is that He dwells in you. This post gives the benefits of having Christ dwelling within you.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world - I John 4:4 (NKJV).

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power - Colossians 2:9-10 (NKJV).

But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God - I Corinthians 1:24 (NKJV).

What kind of life are you expected to live and enjoy having received Jesus as your saviour? The answer is the life of Jesus. God expects you to live as a son of God on earth being co-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17). This is possible if you understand and believe in what it means to have Jesus dwelling within you and you activate it by faith. He is in you fully with all that He is, not just a part of Him. Truly, when you have Jesus you have everything. Now, it doesn't mean that you will not have challenges. It means that when these challenges come, victory is surely yours because of Christ in you. In-fact, challenges are opportunities to show case who you carried inside of you at redemption, they are not meant to drown or overcome you.

Who indwelt you at redemption and the benefit

1. The greater one (1 John 4:4)
Jesus is greater than the devil that is in the world. When you are carrying the greater one and you walk in the knowledge of it, who is it that will challenge you and win? An understanding of this gives you the overcomer's mentality. The greater one is inside of you!

2. The fullness of the Godhead (Colossians 2:9)
In Christ dwells the fullness of God bodily and He is in you fully. This means all of God is in you. Try to imagine who you are carrying: the creator of the whole universe, the Almighty God, the healer, the provider, refuge, strong tower, wonderful, counsellor, etc. This is true; God is fully inside of you. The Place Of The Word In Your Life

What value do you place on the word of God? Your value of the word determines how often and how much you study it, and consequently how much of God is delivered into you. The place of the word in your life determines your victories and successes in life. It is your manual for life on earth. This post emphasizes the importance of having the word of the Lord as number one priority in your life.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth - John 1:1, 3-5, 14 (NKJV).

But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God - I Corinthians 1:24 (NKJV).

Many believing Christians have time for so many things but very little time for the word of God. They have time for church services and activities, their businesses, career, education and family. Some also have time for vacations or recreation. All these are important but when little time is devoted to the study and meditation of God's word, they will not yield their best to you.

You are a product of the word and you are maintained by it (Hebrews 1:3). Therefore, it is wisdom to consciously sharpen and polish yourself with the word of God. Also, as a child of God the word of the Lord is the food for your regenerated spirit. Lack of the word is to starve your spirit of the needed nutrient to be healthy and powerful. Lack of it will also not allow you to grow to maturity where you will be able to skillfully exercise your authority in Christ (Hebrews 5:12-14). Read more...

Seedtime And Harvest-Give And It Shall Be Given Back To You

Do you desire a financial breakthrough? As long as we are on earth, we will need money for daily needs and wants. Having more than enough is ideal so that you will be a blessing to others. However, many are barely scratching to meet their needs not to talk of meeting the needs of others. Thank God there is a way out! This post shares the basis of financial prosperity: seedtime and harvest.

Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you - Luke 6:38 (NKJV).

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease - Genesis 8:22 (NKJV).

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap - Galatians 6:7 (NKJV).

God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His children, so He is not the author of poverty in your life. There are laws governing abundance, which if you adhere to will yield great results to you. These may be different from the world's system but it works with supernatural abundance, which is far better than the world's system. One major law of abundance is that of giving and receiving. As long as the earth remains, there will always be seedtime and harvest. There is no harvest without seedtime and where you have sown seeds you can be rest assured that you will have a harvest after a time, having followed the due process.

Giving and Receiving
This is a very important law if you are to experience abundance. You have to sow before you can reap. Until you give, you can't receive from anybody. Something must leave you first before anything can come to you.  Therefore, if you don't like giving then you shouldn't be expecting to receive. Givers will increase more, while those who don't give, that which they have will go from them (Proverbs 11:24-25). This is a spiritual law which governs everyone, those who practice it eat the fruit of it. You give your way out of lack and want. If you say you don't have anything to give then, you are not yet ready for abundance. You are to give according to what you have (1 Corinthians 8:12). You must give first! Read more...

Reasons Why Your Faith Must Be Based On God's Word For It To Work

How potent is your faith? Many Christians are struggling to have their faith produce the results they desire. Some Christians are even wondering whether "this faith thing" is real. It is real; however, their problem may be that their faith is not on the right foundation, which is the word of God. This post gives the reasons why your faith must be based on God's word for your faith to work.

My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips - Psalms 89:34 (NKJV).

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God - Romans 10:17 (NKJV).

Christianity is called the "Faith". Faith describes our Christian walk with God. We are saved by faith and we live by faith. Therefore, for you to make it as a Christian your faith must work; otherwise, you will be constantly defeated by the enemy when you're only to reach out for victory (Already given to you by Jesus) by faith.

What is faith?
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). It is acting on God's word. It is putting the word of God above situations and issues of life. It is believing the word of the Lord as being the absolute truth and holding on to it till it overcomes.
Therefore, it means that where there is no word of God, there will be no potent faith. God's word is the foundation on which your faith can work. So, you must have faith in the word of the Lord.

Why Your faith must be based on God's Word

1. Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17)
Your faith is built up as you hear the word: while studying the word, listening to anointed messages or reading anointed books. It doesn't come by being current with the happenings around you, rather what comes on you most of the time is fear (Faith in the devil). As you hear the Lord speak to you through the above channels, your faith grows to believe Him to do what He had said He would do.
