5 Reasons Why You Should Feed On The Word Of God

Now that you're saved, what next? Truly, it's one thing to get saved, and another thing to remain saved till the end. This means that once saved doesn't mean always saved. As such, there is a need for you to do whatever it takes to remain in the Lord till the end. And the first thing to do is to feed and feed on the word of God.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness - 2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV).

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth - 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV).

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope - Romans 15:4 (NKJV).

Introduction

Every child must feed to be alive and grow; so also, a new believer needs to feed. Furthermore, as it's your spirit that is born again, the food of the spirit is the word of God. You need to feed on God's word to live and grow as a believing Christian. Therefore, for you not to die again spiritually and return to your old self, you need to pay attention to the word of God.

Why You Should Feed On The Word

1. God's manual for profitable living

The word of God is the creator's manual to human beings living on earth. So, when you adhere to its instructions, you end up living a successful and victorious life. For it's profitable for instruction, the conviction of sin, correction, and training in right living in line with God's will. And as long as you obey and do what it says, you will not miss it in life

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness - 2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV). Read more

Significant Things That Happened To You At Salvation

What actually happened when you gave your life to Christ? An understanding of this will enable you to assume your position in Christ. And it will also cause you to exercise your authority, and enjoy your inheritance in Christ. So, this post will tell you significant things that happened to you at salvation.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him- 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV).

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness - I John 1:7-9 (NKJV).

Introduction

Salvation is God's gift to mankind. And we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). And your salvation is in the name of Jesus; for there is no other name given under heaven by which man can be saved (Acts 4:12). But then, what happened when you gave your life to Christ and what should you expect in life?

Significant Things That Happened To You At Salvation

1. All your sins are forgiven and thrown into the sea of forgetfulness

On the cross, Christ bore all your sins and paid the price for your redemption with His blood. Your sins are forgiven, and as the scripture says in Micah 7:19, your sins are thrown into the sea. Such that when you repented of your sins and asked for forgiveness, God forgave and forgot them.

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more - Hebrews 8:12 (NKJV).

He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea - Micah 7:19 (NKJV). Read more...

Have you ever wondered what to pray to bring about positive changes in your life? Truly, it's one thing to know how to pray and another thing to know what to pray. Praying the right thing will always grant you speedy answers to your prayers. So, today I am going to give some important verses of the scriptures to pray that will change your life forever.

Introduction

Two important things you must always do as a child of God are to study the word of God and pray. And God said that when we pray the scriptures (the will of God), He hears us and we are assured of receiving our heart desires (1 John 15:13-14). Therefore, it's important to know the scriptures to pray for every issue in life. However, there are some verses, which when you consistently pray will grant you access to other scriptures to use in praying for issues. Also, they empower you for victory in life. These verses are in Ephesians 1:17-20.

Ephesians 1:17-20

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places - Ephesians 1:17-20 (NKJV).

These are important verses of the scriptures to pray that will change your life indeed. This is because they equip you with all you need to succeed as a Christian. So, when you consistently pray these verses you will see a lot of changes in your life. Read more...

How To Be Filled With All The Fullness Of God

Are you filled with all the fullness of God? Surely having the fullness of the Almighty is something to desire. This is because it will give you a better understanding of God and enable you to enjoy all His blessings. So, in this post, we will be looking at how to be filled with all the fullness of God.

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,…that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God – Ephesians 3:14, 17-19 (NKJV).

Introduction

Many believing Christians desire to have more of God and to manifest His power and glory. Though this is the Lord’s desire too, many Christians are yet to actualize this in their lives. Is it that it’s difficult to attain? Not really. However, many people have not diligently sought God and so, don’t know much about Him. Truly, the Lord is more than we can imagine.

How to be filled with all the fullness of God

According to Ephesians 3:19, you can have the fullness of God by knowing the love of Christ, which passes knowledge. So, knowledge of Christ’s love for you which passes knowledge will fill you with all the fullness of God. The Lord doesn’t just love us, He is love.

The love of Christ is deep

This love is beyond your natural understanding. Otherwise, how do you explain Christ praying for those killing Him on the cross? Also, how do you explain Christ leaving His comfortable throne with all the power and authority to come and die the most shameful death? Such that the people He created mocked and humiliated Him. Yet, He went on to die on the cross for all. This is beyond human knowledge. Read more...

Beware Of The Evil Heart of Unbelief

I will like to share an earlier post with you today. For it's still very relevant at this time. God bless you as you read this.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What can keep you from entering the rest of God? Will you allow it? There remains a rest for all who will endure till the end. The prize for enduring till the end is great so also the consequence of not enduring till the end. Interestingly, what you get at the end is YOUR choice. This post stresses the heart of unbelief as what will hinder you from entering the rest of God and encourages you to beware of the evil heart of unbelief.

Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’ So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’ Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God… So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief – Hebrews 3:10-19 (NKJV).

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16 (NKJV).

The Truth

God is preparing a place for all who believe in His son, who walk, not according to the dictates of this world, but according to God’s principles (Romans 8:1,5). The main principle being that you should not harbour unbelief in your heart, God calls it ‘evil’! It is evil to doubt God’s words for your everyday life, not to believe in His Son, or not to believe that what He said is what will happen.

Whenever you hear God’s voice while reading the scriptures, listening to preachers and teachers, and testimonies, or watching Christian movies, the Lord admonishes that you should not harden your heart and have an evil heart of unbelief. You are to believe that it is God speaking to you (1 Thessalonians 2:13) and applying it immediately in your life. You are not to reason out how it could be or how it will happen (Proverbs 3:5-7), that is not your part to do or your responsibility. Your part is to believe it till the end, finish.

What To Do

Hold unto God’s word till the end, He never fails. You can never do better than God even if you tried, you will only compound your problems or issues by being wise in your own eyes. Let go and let God. In Job 14:14, Job said he would wait till his change comes. Did his change come? Surely it did. He refused to sin against God and God changed his story and his latter end was better than his former. Read more...

The Best Labour Is The Labour Into The Rest Of God

What type of labour do you engage in most? Many people are labouring for different reasons and these reasons determine the outcomes. However, there is a labour we must all engage in, which is very important, the best and of eternal value. And the best labour is the labour into the rest of God

For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do - Hebrews 4:8-13 (KJV, emphasis mine).

Introduction

Labour is the use of physical, mental and social effort to produce something and it's related to hard work. However, when it's positively engaged, it yields great results.

Success in life requires that you put in hard work, and how much you put in determines how much success you will enjoy. This includes all areas of your life; so, whichever area you're willing to labour in will yield her fruit.

The Challenge

Unfortunately, people spend so much energy and resources labouring on things that have temporary value. And they neglect the labour that has eternal value. For instance, people labour to get a good education and build their families, career and businesses. But they neglect to build their relationship with God. Truly, where your treasure is there your heart will be (Matthew 6:21). Read more...

Beware This Amazing Year The Leaven Bread Of Malice

Are you habouring malice in your heart? This is because the leaven bread of Malice is a destroyer of destiny. And a little of it in your life defiles you completely and aborts God’s perfect plan for your life. Surely, it is the road to destruction and must be earnestly avoided. So, beware this amazing year the leaven bread of malice.

Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth – 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 (NKJV).

Introduction

Dictionary.com defines malice as the desire to inflict injury, harm, or suffering on another, either because of a hostile impulse or out of deep-seated meanness

Malice is a strategy of the enemy to destroy the two parties: the victim and the perpetrator. It comes from the heart and is the origin of many evil acts against somebody.

Malice is deadly

You may have done many other things to secure God’s intervention; however, the presence of malice cancels all your effort. This is because as a leaven, it leavens the whole lump. For instance, you may have fasted and prayed, and confessed God’s word concerning an issue; malice in the heart cancels your effort. So, if you are harbouring this deadly venom within, you will not receive your desired answer. This is because the enemy will have a reason to accuse you before God and He being a just God will abide by His word.

The leaven bread of malice keeps the word from having access into you, thereby preventing it from lightening you up. And so keeps you far from God, His blessings and protection. Again, it dries up the joy of God in you, which is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and makes you vulnerable to sickness and diseases (Proverbs 17:22). Therefore, beware this amazing year the leaven bread of malice. And if you have it, get rid of it now. Read more...
