Why You Should Be Steadfast And Immovable In Your Walk With God

Have you ever felt like quitting God? Or have you ever thought of taking a break from your service unto God? This is the case with some believers. But, the truth is that it’s not the Lord’s will for you to draw back. And God doesn’t take pleasure in those who draw back from the faith. So, this post tells why you should be steadfast and immovable in your walk with God.

Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him – Hebrews 10:38 (NKJV).

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord – I Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV).

Introduction

Challenges, persecution, and lust of the flesh are the main reasons people think of quitting Christ.  They get so overwhelmed by these that they desire a break even if it’s for a short period. However, drawing back for whatever reason, even for a short time, is to break the hedge, and surely the serpent will bite. This is because, quitting God is to depart from His divine covering, and it’s not a good decision. Therefore, it’s important that you remain steadfast and immovable in your walk with God.

Why You Should Be Steadfast And Immovable In Your Walk With God

1. To secure God’s pleasure in you

If God is for you, no man will rise against you. But, what happens when God is not for you? Surely, everything will be against you, no matter what the enemy promises you. This is because the devil’s work is to kill, steal and destroy. And whatever he gives you, you will repay in multiple forms. Now, the Lord said that if anyone draws back from faith, He will not have pleasure in Him. And when God withdraws from you, His blessings and covering go with Him. Truly, no matter the negative thing that is happening to you or around you, you’re better off in Christ. Surely, outside Christ, you will have crisis. Read more...

The Best Labour Is The Labour Into The Rest Of God

What type of labour do you engage in most? Many people are labouring for different reasons and these reasons determine the outcomes. However, there is a labour we must all engage in, which is very important, the best and of eternal value. And the best labour is the labour into the rest of God

For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do - Hebrews 4:8-13 (KJV, emphasis mine).

Introduction

Labour is the use of physical, mental and social effort to produce something and it's related to hard work. However, when it's positively engaged, it yields great results.

Success in life requires that you put in hard work, and how much you put in determines how much success you will enjoy. This includes all areas of your life; so, whichever area you're willing to labour in will yield her fruit.

The Challenge

Unfortunately, people spend so much energy and resources labouring on things that have temporary value. And they neglect the labour that has eternal value. For instance, people labour to get a good education and build their families, career and businesses. But they neglect to build their relationship with God. Truly, where your treasure is there your heart will be (Matthew 6:21). Read more...
