Are you between two opinions, to obey or to disobey God? Then you need to pause and consider your decision very well. Many Christians make decisions in a haste only to discover that they were wrong decisions. However, we can avoid unpleasant experiences if we will choose to obey God all the time. This post emphasizes the need to choose to obey God all the time because it’s expensive to disobey God.
So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.”- 1 Samuel 15:22-23 (NKJV).
People Give Reasons For Disobedience
People always have reasons why they choose to disobey God. And many of the reasons are often okay to man. However, it never changes the fact that it’s disobedience to God. And you will always have two choices to choose from before any action: to obey or disobey God. And YOU make the final choice.
Some people disobey out of ignorance or lack of adequate information. And some others disobey out of mere fleshly desires, which include lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and pride of life. Nevertheless, no matter the reason, the consequences of disobedience is expensive.
Gravity Of Disobedience
It’s truly expensive to disobey God, and you will surely pay for it either now or later. And the gravity of the consequence depends on the issue of disobedience and how God considers it.
