Heart Service-Access To Open Doors

Do you desire to gain access to open doors in your life? Then this post is for you. Many people desire open doors but they are not getting it because they are not doing what is needed to gain access to it. God has made available open doors for His people but it takes heart service to gain access to them. This post emphasizes service from the heart as a channel to God's open doors for you.

And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil - Deuteronomy 11:13-14 (NKJV).

These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men - Matthew 15:8-9 (NKJV).

Many people are Christian believers but they are not serving the Lord with their heart. Their lips honour God but their hearts are far from God. They go to church but they don't want to be committed in any service in the church, they don't make out time to pray for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10), and they don't go out to preach the gospel to unbelievers so they can be saved. They are just nominal Christians: hearers but not doers of the word of God. Such Christians are denying themselves access to open doors in their lives.

God has promised that when you obey His commandments to love and to serve Him, He would open the heavens and pour out rain upon the land for you, so that you can gather grains, new wine and oil. These connote abundant blessings. When you love God, which is to obey His instructions: both personal instructions and the instructions in the word (John 14:21, 23), and serve Him with all your heart, you gain access to the floodgates of heaven. The Lord becomes committed to seeing that your requests are answered (John 15:16). Read more...

Praying In The Spirit-Power Channel For Effective And Fruitful Prayer Life

Are you baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with tongues? Praying in the Spirit or speaking with tongues is God's wisdom for empowering our prayer lives and ensuring that we pray in line with the will of God, thereby securing the Lord's intervention and blessings. It is a weapon that the enemy can neither understand nor interfere with. This post encourages you to pray more in the Spirit.

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God - Romans 8:26-27 (NKJV).

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit - Jude 1:20 (NKJV).

Praying in the Holy Spirit is very important for a powerful Christian living. It helps you to pray aright through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps you to pray very well when you pray with tongues. He helps you to pray the way and for the things you ought to. He intercedes for us with groaning which cannot be explained, He goes deep into the root of a matter to pray about it. The Spirit of God prays directly to the Father according to His will and so the Father hears Him expressly.

What happens when you pray in tongues?
  • When you pray in the Spirit, you move from the earthly realm to the spiritual realm where the enemy cannot interfere with what you are saying, since he can't understand it.

  • You are empowered spiritually, because God praying through you will rub off on you His nature. It is just as when you stay a while where there is smoke; you end up smelling of that smoke, the smoke rubs off on you. God's nature rubs off on you the more, as you spend time praying in the Holy Ghost. You will love and do great works like He does. Read more...

What Determines Your Take Away Package In A Church Service?

Do you go for church services with any expectation in your heart? Your expectation determines what comes to you. It says how prepared you are for a service. This post emphasizes the need to go for church services with expectations in our hearts.

So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off - Proverbs 24:14 (KJV, emphasis mine).

I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it" - Habakkuk 2:1-2 (NKJV).

Many people go to church without knowing why they go to church. Some people go to church as a routine, "there is service between this time and this time, and the pastor will expect us to be there." Most of the time, this is the case for many people. So, they go to church empty and return empty, no changes in their lives.

Church service is a time of fellowship with God and with the brethren. It is a time to speak to God and also hear what God has to say to you. It is a time to be serviced so that you will be in a top shape representing God wherever you may find yourself. However, the level to which you are serviced depends on the expectation you have in your heart for the service. The expectation of your heart determines your take away package in a church service?

The expectation you have determines how open and sensitive you are to receive from God. It determines the knowledge of wisdom that enters your soul and the rewards that come to you as a result of it. Your expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs 24:14). Read more...

An Attitude of Praise and Thanksgiving

The height of a building is determined by its foundation. Also, how prosperous a year turns out is largely determined by its starting point. When you start well and continue in the same, your end shall surely be successful. And one way to start and continue well is by imbibing the attitude of praise and thanksgiving.

Rejoice evermore. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you - 1 Thessalonians 5:16, 18 (KJV). Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God – Philippians 4:6 (KJV, emphasis mine). But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel – Psalm 22:3

An attitude of praise and thanksgiving makes a merry heart. And a merry heart does good like medicine. It takes a joyful heart to go through a day, week, month and year, challenges notwithstanding. A praise-full and thankful heart always sees a reason to praise God and be happy.
If you desire a prosperous and glorious year, then check your success foundation. How much of gratitude unto God do you have? Can it carry you through the year or do you need a refill? A praise-full heart commands wonders because the God of wonders only dwells in such environments.

Make it a habit to praise or thank God in everything, no matter the situation. It could have been worse you know. Every morning thank God for the day before, praise Him for today and what He is going to do. This speaks so much of your expectation, and certainly your expectation shall not be cut off.

An attitude of praise and thanksgiving will affect your thoughts, words and actions. It will affect your relationships, responses to issues including offences (which will surely come). Furthermore, it will affect your choices and your daily choices affect your tomorrow. Read more...
