I Am The Resurrection And The Life

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? – John 11:25-26 (NKJV).

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly – John 10:10 (NKJV).

In this season of Easter celebration, Jesus has more to offer than just remembrance and celebration of His resurrection. He is ever ready to resurrect what is dead or dying in and around you. He is the Resurrection and the Life. Do you believe it?

Martha said that she knew that Lazarus would rise again in the resurrection at the last day, but Jesus’ reply tells her she doesn’t have to wait till the last day; the Resurrection Himself is around – Jesus. Jesus is still around in the person of the Holy Spirit to give life to anything dead or dying in and around you, you don’t have to wait for the resurrection at the last day.

However, it takes faith in Christ as the Resurrection and the Life to have anything rise again. No matter how impossible the case may be, if only you will believe you would see the glory of God (John 11:40). Jesus came that you may have life and that in abundance.
