I Am The Resurrection And The Life

Do you know Jesus Christ as ‘The Resurrection and The Life?’ What you believe the Lord to be is what is manifested in your life. The names of Jesus explain what He can do. This post encourages you to exercise your faith in the Lord as the Resurrection and the Life.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? – John 11:25-26 (NKJV).

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly – John 10:10 (NKJV).

In this season of Easter celebration, Jesus has more to offer than just remembrance and celebration of His resurrection. He is ever ready to resurrect what is dead or dying in and around you. He is the Resurrection and the Life. Do you believe it?

Martha said that she knew that Lazarus would rise again in the resurrection at the last day, but Jesus’ reply tells her she doesn’t have to wait till the last day; the Resurrection Himself is around – Jesus. Jesus is still around in the person of the Holy Spirit to give life to anything dead or dying in and around you, you don’t have to wait for the resurrection at the last day.

However, it takes faith in Christ as the Resurrection and the Life to have anything rise again. No matter how impossible the case may be, if only you will believe you would see the glory of God (John 11:40). Jesus came that you may have life and that in abundance. He is available to fulfill your number of days and cause you to enjoy your blessings for a longer period of time. Read more...

Pray Without Ceasing

How long do you pray? Do you think that it is difficult to pray without ceasing? Every believing Christian knows that it is very important to pray. The problem is getting to pray and praying all the time. This post tells you how you can pray all the time.

Pray without ceasing -1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV).

With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people - Ephesians 6:18 (AMP).

Christians believe in praying but many have problem with the scripture that says we should pray without ceasing. Every scripture is for our own good. Some Christians can't make out time to pray at all except when they are in trouble or in need. This shouldn't be because our Father desires us to call upon Him all the time.

Prayer simply means communication with God. Just like you love to communicate with your loved one, so also the Lord desires to communicate with you. Or don't you love God? Prayer is a two-way thing - you speak to God and He speaks back to you. It is an opportunity to build on your relationship with the Father. Why then does it sound strange to pray without ceasing?

The scriptures says you are to pray all manner of prayers on all occasions and in every season (Ephesians 6:18). This still talks about praying without ceasing but throws more light on how it is possible. When you bear in mind that prayer is communication with God and that you are to pray all kinds of prayers, an understanding of how to pray all the time will come to you.

As such, after your normal early quiet time with the Father, you can talk to Him as you are taking your bath, getting ready to go to work, entering your car or a bus, entering your office or a meeting, and so on.  You are to get God involved with all your activities for the day, ask for wisdom, strength, help, understanding, favour and blessings. You are to trust the Lord with all your heart and not to lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path   (Proverbs 3:5-6). Read more...

Pleading The Blood Of Jesus In The Court Room Of Heaven

Do you feel you are under siege so as to succumb to what is not your portion in Christ; such that no matter what you do it seems as if you will never come out of it? This is the case of many believing Christians. You know the promises of God to you, yet they seem far-fetched. The good news is that there is a solution to this - the blood of the Lamb. This post encourages you to plead the blood of Jesus Christ so as to be free to enjoy your inheritance in Christ Jesus.

As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit - Zechariah 9:11 (NKJV).

“And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance - Hebrews 9:15 (NKJV).

Many people have given their lives to the Lord and are truly serving God with all their hearts, but they are still under the attack of the enemy in one area of the other. You may have prayed, fasted and engaged in many kingdom activities but the challenge is still there. The challenge may not be weighing you down or eating you up because of the joy of the Lord in you, but it is still there denying you the blessing of God so that your joy may be full. It's time to plead the blood of the covenant.

You have a covenant with God sealed with the blood of Jesus, which gives you access to the eternal inheritance in Christ. The price was fully paid for by the Lord with His blood. The enemy has no legal right to still hold your blessings. However, until you state your case with the finished work on the cross, he will still withstand you.

There is a court room in heaven where you are to plead your case. God said in Isaiah 43:26 that you should come and argue your case and prove you are right; you are to put Him in remembrance. The enemy, the accuser, is always there day and night accusing the brethren. The good news is that we overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:10-11). Engaging The Blood Of The Covenant

Are you part of the new covenant with God? Are you enjoying the full benefits of that covenant? God is a covenant keeping God and He will not alter His words concerning the new covenant. This post reveals the power of engaging the blood of the covenant in receiving the full benefits of the covenant.

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them, then He adds, their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:16-17, 19, 22-23 (NKJV).

Many of the Christian believers know that they have entered into a covenant with God by salvation, but many of them are not enjoying the benefits of this covenant. They know the promises of God to them but they are yet to taste these blessings. This is majorly through their ignorance or lack of faith.

God has a new and better covenant with His children, founded on better promises and Jesus is the mediator and guarantee of this new covenant (Hebrews 7:22, Hebrews 8:6). When you receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, you enter into this new agreement and you have access to all the promised inheritance.

What is a covenant?
This is an agreement between two parties (In this case God and His children) with laid down terms. It is an agreement which spells out what each party should do. In God's covenant with His children, He promises to do certain things for them and they are in return expected to carry out certain instructions. The Lord forever keeps His own part (Psalm 89:34), but man is the one who always fails to keep his own part. However, many Christians are doing their part but are not able to get hold of the promises. They ought to engage the blood of the covenant.

The power of the blood of the covenant
Where there is a testament, there must be the death of a testator (Hebrews 9:6). In the Old Testament, animals had to be sacrificed severally to dedicate the testament but in the New Testament, the blood of Jesus was shed once and for all to:
