“While
the earth remains, seedtime and harvest shall not cease” - (Genesis
8:22). This law is so true, yet many don’t walk in it and so lose out in
the blessing it carries. Things hoped for are things expected and faith
only delivers what is hoped for. This post encourages you to have a
sower’s mentality; to think and expect like a sower would for returns.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap – Galatians 6:7 (NKJV)
For
the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak,
and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will
surely come, it will not tarry – Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)
A
sower sows his seeds in hope that after a while, the seeds sown will
give a bountiful harvest. He patiently waits for it in great
expectation. And because his expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs
23:18), the good Lord honours his expectation and releases his bountiful
harvest in due season.
Service
unto God are seeds sown that will return with harvest; even if it
tarries, wait for it for it will surely come. God says in Galatians 6:7
that whatever you sow you will also reap. So, sow in hope that you will
reap in due season.
Not
that you will now serve God for what you can get from Him instead of
because of love. But you need to have it at the back of your mind that
God has not called you to serve Him in vain (Isaiah 45:19), and again
the Lord is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6)
Joseph
feared and served God faithfully, but things seemed to be getting worse
instead of better, yet he never quit on God. At the end, his labour of
love spoke for him. In one night, God moved him from the prison into the
palace (Psalm 105:17-22). It pays to serve God!
