How will you feel if your son sends people to you every time on his
behalf to get an advice, money or help? No parent will be happy if his
child can’t come to him freely and make requests or seek for advice.
When there is communication gap, a close relationship will not be in
view. Interestingly, like any other father, God desires to have a
perfect relationship with His children. He says, “come and talk to Me
yourself”.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your
sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are
red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and
obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and
rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword”; for the mouth of the Lord
has spoken – Isaiah 1:18-20 (NKJV)
Many people want their pastors or someone they think is religious to
talk to God on their behalf. Some would rather read all manner of books
or materials, or even go to different places to get answers to bugging
questions or challenges, than to go to God. Yet, God is reaching out to
them saying, “come and talk to me!”
What is stopping you from going to God in prayer with those issues?
He who made ears can hear and He who made mouth can talk. The Lord wants
you to come and reason with Him. If it is sin, He says you should come
all the same, that the sin aspect will be taken care of. If you say no
time is available, I will say that if you can make out time to eat, then
you can make out time to talk to your Father.
You are the one who will ultimately benefit most. You get to reason
with the only wise God, the creator of the whole universe, the beginning
and the end, the first and the last, the unchangeable changer, the
all-knowing God, the Prince of peace, the great physician, the
everlasting Father and the I AM THAT I AM. God has the solution to that
issue. If only you will humble yourself and ask Him, the problem will be
solved.
Is it wrong to ask someone to pray for you? No, not all but it is not
the best now that Christ has come, died and risen again, and is seated
at the right hand of God. However, if it is an agreement prayer which is
very powerful, it is good because, if two of you agree on earth as
touching anything that you will ask, it will be done for you by God who
is in heaven – Matthew 18:19. Read more...

God Is Not Done With You Yet!
Who said your case is over and finished? It cannot be over
until God is done with you or YOU
say it is over. The problem is that many people give up when God is still at
work with them. Beauty and glory will not be seen on you if you quit before God
is finished with you. This post emphasizes the essence of Easter-the finished
work of Christ.
So when Jesus had received the sour
wine, He said, “It is finished!”
And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit – John 19:30 (NKJV)
And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet
as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I
am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am
alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death –
Revelations 1:17-18 (NKJV)
Being confident of this very thing, that
He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus
Christ – Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)
If you are short of glory and beauty in
your life, then God is not done with you. The doctors, society, family and
friends may call your case a closed one, but if God says it is not over yet and
you dare to believe Him, I tell you, you are the next to share a testimony.
Easter celebration is the time to
remember and celebrate the finished work of Christ on the cross: His victory
over the enemy. He is risen, alive forevermore and has the keys of hell and
death to set free anyone who believes in Him. He says, you should not be afraid
of that challenge because He was before it and will still be after the
challenge is no more.
On the cross, Jesus declared, “it is
finished!” It is finished with that challenge! Therefore, until that
declaration is fulfilled in your life, God is not done with you yet. The good
news is that the resurrection power of Christ is available to have it fulfilled
in your life. So, tap into it and receive your beauty and glory. Read more...

How Do You Treat God?
How do you treat God and how do you want God to treat you?
People desire God to solve all their problems for them and make them very
comfortable, but they forget that God also desires certain things from us too.
Until you meet God’s requirements you will only enjoy occasional drops of
mercies. This post emphasizes the need to treat God well in order to have Him
treat you well.
“Draw
near to God and He will draw near to you” – James 4:8 (NKJV)
But whoever denies Me before men, him I
will also deny before My Father who is in heaven – Matthew 10:33 (NKJV)
O! How we want God to make us rich, heal our bodies and do
many other things for us but we neglect what God also wants from us. God has
certain needs too that need to be met and anyone who consistently meets these
needs will certainly provoke God’s blessings and interventions consistently.
How you treat God is how He will treat you. God says that
you should draw near to him and only then will He draw near to you. You have to
take a step towards God to get God to take a step towards you. The good news is
that God’s steps are much wider than yours. So, when you take a step towards
God, He takes a bigger one towards you.
Also, in another vein, when you deny God before people,
Christ will also deny you before God. And if Jesus denies you before God who
will now intercede for you before God, because Christ is the one who intercedes
for the saints in heaven (Romans 8:34)?
God has no problem at all blessing you. In fact, He desires
to pour out blessings upon you – Malachi 3:10. God wishes
above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers
– 3 John 2. He knows that you have needs and He is more than ready to meet
those needs when you meet the requirements – Matthew 6:33. Read more...

How Well Do You See?
What do you see beyond your now? The world is full of
goodies and bad stuffs, what do you see coming to you? You are a product of
what you see and you are also limited by how far you see. How well you see today
determines your story tomorrow. This post stresses the importance of maximizing
your vision.
Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah,
what see you? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord to
me, You have well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it – Jeremiah 1:11-12
(KJV)
And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from
him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are-northward,
southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you
and your descendants forever – Genesis 13:14-15 (NKJV)
How well do you see? When Jeremiah saw well, God said He was
going to hasten His word to perform what Jeremiah saw. Also God told Abraham to
look up and see, for whatever he saw God was going to give it to him and his
descendants forever. Certainly, he didn’t see what his descendants inherited
with his physical eyes which are grossly limited. He saw the vast inheritance
with his eyes of faith.
What you see is what God hastens to give you. What does that
tell you? God is only limited by what you see. God is the Almighty God, what he
says He will do. There is nothing impossible with Him (Luke 1:37), only the
level to which our eyes of faith can carry us limits Him.
God is a big God and expects His children to think big! Yes,
you have to start small but your vision should go beyond that starting point.
Your vision determines how big you become in life. See through the eyes of the
word of God and you will get there.
God grants you the desires of your heart (psalm 34:7) and you
are what you think (Proverbs 23:7). If you desire small so will you get and if
you think big so will you become. We don’t glorify God when we are behind in
the things of life as children of God. He has given us all things that pertain
to life (2 Peter 1:3) and richly gives us all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).
All he wants is that we should not put our trust in anything else but Him. Read more...
