The Way Of Life Of A Lover Of God

How often do you worship God? Worship is God’s food and it is the only thing He cannot give Himself. Every lover of God has worship unto God as a way of life. It is an act that comes naturally to anyone that truly loves God. This article explains more on how a true lover of God is to worship God.

But You are holy, O You Who dwell in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered] – Psalm 22:3 (AMP)

I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship – Romans 12:1 (AMP)

Worship unto God is not just singing songs to God but reverence and honour unto God. When we worship God we honour Him; we recognize His supremacy and awesome nature. God is seeking people who will really worship Him in spirit and in truth – John 4:23

It is only a true lover of God that can worship God in spirit and in truth (acceptable worship). This is because your heart needs to be fully involved and you need to have a good knowledge of God. Both conditions must be met for you to be able to worship Him acceptably.

The more you know God, the more you appreciate and love Him, the more you worship Him. Worship unto God is an expression of your relationship with God. When you truly worship God, you are sold out to God and God desires that you worship Him.

Worship should be a way of life for you if you love God: in your words, thoughts and deeds. You are to honour God with everything in and around your life; it also means that God’s opinion concerning them should matter to you.

Worshipping God in words

This is the most understood way of worshipping God. You worship God when you sing to Him, mostly slow songs that talk about God and His nature. Your heart needs to be connected with the wordings as you sing for you to truly reverence Him with your singing. At this time, no other thing crosses your mind but God and all about Him. Proof Of Your Love For God.

Do you love God? If you truly love God, what is the proof of your love? True love cannot be hidden; it is expressed in words and actions. It is not enough to sing and say that you love God; you must also put action to it. This article gives you the evidences of love for God.

If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands – John 14:15 (AMP)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life– John 3:16 (NKJV)

Often times I meet people who claim to love God but their words and especially their actions say otherwise. True love is not self-seeking, it desires to please whom it loves. If you love God you will long to do what pleases Him all the time.

Jesus, our perfect example loved God and man and He proved it by His actions. He did nothing for His own benefit. It was for God and man all the time. He said that His father has never left Him because He always did what pleased Him – John 8:29

And of course, all the way to Calvary, He went for man. He was wounded for our transgression; He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed – Isaiah 53:5

You can’t love someone and the person will not know it, because if you truly do so, you will show it. God too knows when you really love Him, because your words and especially your actions will express it. God is the God of knowledge; by Him actions are weighed – 1 Samuel 2:3. So, how will God know that you truly love Him?

Proof of your love for God

·         Obedience
Your obedience to God and His words is the number one evidence of your love for Him. Christ Himself said, “If you love me, keep my commandments”. You can’t love God and be disobedient to His commands. God cannot be mocked, He who made ears and eyes can certainly hear and see the things that you do.

Love-The Fruit Of The Holy Spirit

How can one ever truly walk in love in this world, where everyone thinks only of himself? People want to rise in the society at the expense of another. But God demands that we walk in the love of God. How possible is it? This article explains how this fruit of the Holy Spirit can be developed in you by the help of the Holy Spirit.

But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge] – Galatians 5:22-23 (AMP)

But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God) – Galatians 5:16 (AMP)

God cannot tell you to do what will be impossible for you to do, because God is faithful and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able – 1 Corinthians 10:13. Furthermore, all things are possible to him that believes – Mark 9:23

The good news is that love is one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. So, when you are full of the Holy Spirit, you will be full of the love of God. His presence within you will develop the love of God which He had already deposited in you at new birth – Romans 5:5

Walking in love seems to be difficult because it is contrary to the desires of the flesh but when you walk in the Spirit, you will not satisfy the flesh. The scriptures say that it is not by your might or power but by the Holy Spirit – Zechariah 4: Read more...

Why Faith Works By Love

Have you ever wondered why your faith seems not to be working? It can be very frustrating exercising your faith and getting nothing. But the truth remains that faith can only work through love. This article explains why faith works by love.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love – Galatians 5:6 (NKJV)
The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame – Zephaniah 3:5 (NKJV, emphasis mine)

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. – 1 Corinthians 13:2, 8 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

When people exercise faith and they don’t receive their desired answer, they conclude that this “faith thing” is not working. What they fail to do is to check their love walk. Faith works by love. Your faith must pass the test of love before it can deliver the answered prayer.

Why does faith work only through love?
God is the one who acts on your behalf according to your faith and God is love (1 John 4:8). So, we can say that Love is what acts on your behalf according to your faith. Therefore, when there is no love, nothing works on your faith, thereby producing nothing.

God never fails and so love never fails. Love will never fail to deliver your answered prayer when your faith is working through love. God is love and so when you walk in love, you exhibit God and command His manifestations.

All things are possible to him that believes (Mark 9:23) and if faith works by love, then all things are possible to him that loves. Read more...

Love Equals Total Health

Does it pay to love your neighbor as yourself? What else can you gain from walking in love? Many people consider the sacrifices associated with walking in the love of God without considering the good by-products of it. The truth remains that the benefits of obeying the law of love far out-weighs the sacrifices. This post shares about total health, as a by- product of walk of love.

If you love Me, keep My commandments – John 14:15 (NKJV)

Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them. And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you – Deuteronomy 7:11, 15 (NKJV)

So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days – Exodus 23:25-26 (NKJV)

Every one desires to live a long life free of sickness and disease and the sure way to do that is by walking in love. A little adjustment in your walk of love will give you a life time of peace in your spirit, soul and body.
Jesus says that if you love Him you will obey His commandments. And His commandments include the three greatest commandments: love God with all your being, love your neighbor as yourself and love the brethren. And God said that when we keep the commandments He would take sickness and diseases away from us and fulfill the number of our days: that is long life with total health.

God is a covenant keeping God. When you walk in love, you command good health and longevity to come to you. These are by-products of walking in love. You wouldn’t need to fast and pray for your health. If there is any sign of attack from the enemy, you will just stand on the covenant and remind God and the devil that you walk in the love of God.
