Securing Overflowing Abundance

How we long for a net breaking catch! Many people wish, desire and pray for a one-time abundant harvest that will turn around their lives for the better. Some of them do all manner of things just to get this overflowing abundance. But the answer lies in sacrificial giving. This post tells you how to prepare to make great the harvest.

So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.” – Luke 21:3-4 (NKJV)

So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life – Mark 10:29-30 (NKJV)

Many people don’t like sacrificial giving because it is really a sacrifice. It pinches the soul and body, though very healthy for the spirit. It is like the widow who gave out of her poverty; Jesus said she gave more than the others who gave out of their abundance.  It is the quantity of what you are giving compared to what is left and the ease with which you are giving it. This is why it moves God to give you back in return overflowing abundance.

God’s palm is extremely bigger than yours. So when you give Him sacrificially according to the size of your palm, He gives you back according to the size of His palm. Hallelujah! The world says “keep and receive” to get abundant harvest, God says give and give to get overflowing abundance.

As you give sacrificially your heavens are being filled, and like clouds full of rain waiting for the next moment to pour down, it pours down for you in its due season.  For some, it may be a one-time sacrifice that will bring about the desired turnaround but for others it may be an accumulation of sacrifices. One thing though is sure, the covenant must speak. The covenant keeping God surely will cause the harvest to come. Read more...

Calling In The Abundant Harvest

What do you do during harvest time?  You have planted and watered, and now it’s time to receive your abundant harvest. Is it a time to sleep or a time to continue working? This post says, “It is time to call in the harvest with the harvest tools available.”

He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame – Proverbs 10:5 (NKJV)

So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.”
So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.”
Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ” -1 Kings 18:42- 44 (NKJV)

The beginning of a new year is always a time for preparing for a better year: a year full of success and blessings, a year void of pitfalls and regrets. Many people fast and pray for divine intervention, blessings, etc., all through the year. But the challenge is that after such spiritual exercises, some people go to sleep while waiting for their answered prayers.

No, it is not wisdom to sleep during harvest time! It is time to remain fervent in the spirit, calling in the abundant harvest, a time to violently receive your harvest of answered prayers: for the violent takes it by force, Matthew 11:12. Like Elijah remain on your knees till you receive your abundant returns. You don’t have to continue the days of fasting but the tempo of your prayers must not reduce.

So what harvest tools will you use at this time?

How To Act On God’s Word

I have done everything I know and I believe that I have a right standing with God, yet I have not received my desire. How exactly do I act on God’s word of faith? Acting on the Lord’s words is a proof of your faith in God and it always delivers. Many people believe but lack the corresponding actions. This article is to give you an insight on how to act on the word in order to obtain results.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does  – James 1:22,25 (NKJV)

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit – 2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMP).

For your faith to obtain results, it MUST be followed by appropriate corresponding actions. Faith without works is dead, just as the body without the spirit is dead, (James 2:26).

The question is what kind of works must you do to prove that you believe God and His word?

I will use examples to answer that question. But first let’s lay the foundation.

·         You act on the word of faith you have believed in your heart, not mental assent.
The first thing is to discover what God is saying to you concerning that issue. It can be through God’s word (scriptures) or by listening for His leading, which MUST agree with the scriptures. Then, you must meditate on it until it goes beyond your head to your heart for you to believe it beyond any reasonable doubt. This heart-rooted word is what you will act on.

·         Your prayer-life must be solid because that is one major way whereby you are certain of the actions to take.
Prayer is a two-way communication channel: you speak to God and you listen also to hear what He has to say. As you communicate with God, the Holy Spirit will lay in your heart what corresponding actions to take in order to see the word, you have received, come to pass. Read more...
