Why Christmas?

Christmas again is here. What is special about it? Why should it be a big holiday time?  Some people really ask these questions and they want answers. This post is to answer the question why Christmas again.

For my eyes have seen Your salvation. Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.” …Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against - Luke 2:30-34 (NKJV)

Many people remember Christmas only for the holiday, giving and receiving of gifts, and a time to have fun and relax. But it is more than that. It is very significant and so must be observed with understanding and appropriate actions.

The date is significant enough that Anno Domini (AD) and Before Christ (BC), which are designations used to label or number years, are based on the birth of Jesus Christ. Also, all over the world, this date is recognized and respected. School calendars are scheduled with this date in consideration. Businesses and offices close on that day. Really, it is an important date.

Christmas again is remembered as the day Jesus Christ, the savior of the world was born. Jesus came as God’s salvation plan for humanity. Through Christ, God reconciled man back to himself. All man has to do to activate this perfected reconciliation is to accept Jesus as his personal Lord and savior. Read more...

Everyone Is Not Doing It

Have you ever been pressured into doing or saying what you would not have done or said? Have you ever been cornered into this common saying, “everyone else is doing it?” The truth is that not everyone is doing it! There are still many people who fear God, men and women of character and integrity who will not bow the knees no matter what.

Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him – 1 Kings 19:18 (NKJV)

For I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city – Acts 18:10 (NKJV)

When many get to the cross road, they tend to yield to the easy way out ignoring their conscience. The world is looking for ways to justify her evil ways and everyone who follows the way of the world always end up in destruction. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is the way of death.

The saying, “everyone else is doing it” is straight from the pit of hell to lure people into doing the wrong things and pacifying their conscience. Majority may be doing the wrong thing but there is always a minority that is still holding unto the truth.

That many people are doing it does not make it right. God will not judge you by the majority vote, but by the truth which will never change for anyone or any generation.

And if you are yet to see those who believe in doing the right thing, choose to be the light in the midst of darkness. Read more...

The Birth Of Spiritual Gurus Through Faith-Praise

Do you desire to grow more spiritually and enjoy more divine interventions? Faith-praise is one of the spiritual steps to take in order to become a spiritual guru. God dwells in the midst of praise, and when fortified by faith, it provokes divine manifestation.

Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11 (NKJV)

“...Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.” After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, ... As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated - 2 Chronicles 20:20-23 (NIV)

A spiritual guru is someone who understands the spiritual realm and exercises a very high authority in it. His name is feared in the kingdom of darkness and honoured in the kingdom of God. Acts 19:11-17

God is the ultimate spiritual guru and if you must be like Him then you must consistently dwell in His presence. This is because as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend – Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV). Therefore, to be sharpened by God, you must abide with Him, and praise is the gateway to God’s presence.

Spiritual gurus understand the importance of faith-praise. It is praise backed up with faith in your heart. Faith powered praise makes tremendous spiritual step towards provoking divine interventions. Now, spiritual giants do mighty works because the Lord is with them. But nobody can attract God if there is no faith coupled with praise. God cannot dwell in a praise-less environment.

Therefore to become a spiritual guru you must learn the act of praise and also have faith in God whom you are praising: believe that He is able to do what He says He will do. Praise moves God to action but where the praise is not from the heart, He does nothing. Lip-service praise is like noise before Him. Read more...

What To Do To See Good Days In Future

Do you desire to see good days in future? Good life is a possibility and can be achieved if you know what to do today. Your steps today determine your future. Everyone deserves to enjoy life, but life does not give you what you deserve but what you demand.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future – Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

It is God’s perfect plan for you to see good days and enjoy life today and in future. But there are steps to take today if it is going to be a reality in your life tomorrow. You are responsible for your future. Your success or failure depends on you.

What to do today

1.       Ensure you are truly a child of God
Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God – John 3:3 (AMP)

Though God loves all men, He is committed only to His own children like a father would to his own children. You need to be a part of the family of God by giving your life to Jesus, and receiving Him as your personal Lord and saviour. Your access to God and then good life is through Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life.

2.       Study the word of God to know His will concerning every issue
So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified – Acts 20:32 (NKJV)

For you to see good days and enjoy life in future, you have to know what belongs to you as a child of God. And the word of God reveals your heritance to you. When you know the will of God for you concerning every issue, you will know what situations, words, etc., to accept or not to accept. The word of God that is well rooted in you will keep you and order your footsteps aright. It delivers good life to you. Read more...
