Why do we celebrate Easter day? What is special about Easter celebration? Many people celebrate Easter without understanding the reason behind the celebration. Easter celebration is all about the death AND the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Also, Easter day reminds us of and emphasizes our redemptive blessings.
The resurrection of Jesus is the anchor of the Christian faith. The purpose of His death would not have been complete if He did not rise again. Our victory over sin and Satan lies on death and resurrection of Jesus. This wisdom of God totally defeated the enemy. 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 says, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” Read more...
