How To Enjoy Fulfilled New Year Expectations

Hi Jesus loves you.

Compliments of the season

How many of your expectations were fulfilled this year? How many times were you disappointed? It is very proper for us to have great expectations, but the question is “where are you placing your expectations?” In order to avoid disappointment and have your expectations fulfilled in the New Year, you have to place your expectation on the right place. This article shows you the right and best place to do so.

So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off – Proverbs 24:14 (KJV, emphasis is mine). It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man – Psalm 118:8 (KJV)

Many people get angry, disappointed and frustrated, etc, when their expectations are not met. Unfulfilled expectations ruin relationships and sometimes can lower one’s self esteem. Also, it can make you to lose hope in yourself or/and people. It can make you to conclude that another person is unfair, ungrateful or a ‘good for nothing’ person.

The problem is not with anybody else but with the anchor for your expectation. Often, we expect too much from people. And when they fail we tend to be disappointed. We need to understand that man is limited and is liable to disappoint.

God is the true and best anchor for your expectations. He is unlimited and has the ability to, not only support your expectation but also to fulfil it. Therefore, to get your New Year expectations fulfilled, you need to put all your expectation on God and His word. Man may fail you but God will never fail you. Read more...

Enjoying End Of Year With His goodness

How has your year been? Is it better or worse than last year? Every end of year is to be better than the former. Our lives are meant to be filled with goodness. This article expresses how to end the year with the best part of blessings.

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness – Psalm 65:11 (KJV)

We really need to put in our best to get the best out of anything. A wise man said, “Put in nothing and you will get nothing”. For us to enjoy any end of year with goodness, we must have put in our own share of work, skill, diligence, love, studying, and wisdom practices, etc. But you must understand that it does not depend totally and only on your effort.

The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.

God is the ultimate authority to reckon with if you are to end the year with goodness. You need His seal on all your efforts and inputs. No matter the state of affairs with you presently, God’s touch will drop fatness. Nothing is impossible with God, only believe.

So, how far have you gone in preparation to enjoy the best part of this year? Read more...

Seven Hindrances To Abundant Harvest

What can stop your abundant harvest after you have planted your seeds? Have you ever planted and reaped little? It is not enough to just sow for you to reap a harvest. There are other factors to consider if you want a bountiful harvest. This article lists things to watch out for if you are to receive a great return.

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully – 2 Corinthians 9:6

It is God’s heart desire to bless us abundantly. But like a farmer, abundant harvest neither comes by wishing it nor by scattering seeds without focus. A farmer diligently prepares for a bountiful harvest by the conscious steps he takes. He watches out for any hindrance to his desired returns and takes care of them. Do you desire great returns? Then watch out for the following hindrances:

Hindrances to abundant harvest

1.       No or insufficient planted seeds

Seeds stored and not planted will yield nothing. It is only when you sow that you can expect a harvest. Sow nothing and reap nothing. Also, the more the seeds you sow the more the harvest you can expect. Therefore, sow in the morning, noon and evening, any opportunity you have sow and expect your harvest. Read more...

How Ready Are You

Are you ready for what must surely come? We are always preparing for good or bad consciously or unconsciously. That we will leave this earth one day indeed is a life truth. The question is “how ready are you?

Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes - SOS 2:15

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand – Ezekiel 3:20 (Emphasis is mine)

Recently, in one week, I watched 2 programmes talking about people’s readiness for eternity without my planning for it. It got my mind racing. I had to examine and re-examine myself.

In one account, a Pastor died and had the privilege of seeing both heaven and hell. At the end the angel accompanying him told him that, had he not asked for God’s mercy and forgiveness before dying, hell would have been his judgement. The Pastor tried to refute it, claiming to be a pastor and to have preached about heaven and hell. But the angel reminded him that prior to his accident he quarrelled with wife and had not forgiven her.

The life truth is that many people may not have the last minute opportunity to ask for forgiveness before dying like the Pastor. He may have been very ready before the quarrel. Last minute disobedience can cost you a place in heaven. How ready are you? Read more...

How to Walk Into Every New Month

How do you secure a fruitful, peaceful and joyous new month? It starts with a good beginning. A solid foundation ensures a solid building. You deserve to enjoy every new month.

Psalm 11:3 says, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” It is important to start well in order to end well. How you walk into a new month really matters.

How to walk into a fresh month
  • Count your blessings
Many people start the month with what has not been accomplished fully occupied in their minds. This disorganises the month for them. They are worried and depressed. Sometimes it affects their relationship with people. Performance at work inevitably is affected. They will end up not seeing any good coming their way.

Count your blessings and name them one by one. It is very crucial to cast your mind to the past month and consciously recount every good that came your way, including the fact that you are alive and every favour you enjoyed, no matter how little. It is best to put them down if you can, because the long list will push away any worries and build your faith for the new month. Read more...

Reasons to submit ideas to God

Have you ever embarked on an idea and wished later that you didn’t? Sometimes such ventures can be very costly and even deadly. The best way to avoid regrets is to submit all ideas to God. This article gives you vital reasons to surrender all ideas to God.

Proverbs 14:12 (KJV) says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” God, the Alpha and the Omega, Knows the end from the beginning. When you submit your ideas to God you avoid any unforeseen issues on the way.

Reasons to submit ideas to God

1.       Divine direction
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps - Proverbs 16:9 (KJV). You enjoy divine guidance when you submit your plans to God. God will order your footsteps aright and help you not to go on a wasteful or disastrous journey.

2.       Provision
And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing – Luke 22:35. When your ideas are in agreement with God’s plan for you, He supplies all that is needed for the ideas to succeed.

3.       Divine backup
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass – Psalm 37:5 (KJV). When King David submitted his battle plans to God, God not only gave him directions but also helped him, (1 Samuel 23:4). Any idea submitted to God enjoys God’s backing. Read more...

Why Submission to God Part 2

Jesus loves you.
Why should you submit to God? What would you gain by submitting to God? This post gives the remaining reason why you should submit to God.

Reasons to submit to God

6. Victory – This is guaranteed when you submit to God. God is the Almighty and He will prove Himself in any battle you may be facing. James 4:7 (KJV) – “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

7. Provision – Submission to God commands provision from Him. God is committed to supplying all your needs when you totally yield to Him. Matthew 6:31-33 (KJV) – “Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

8. Good health – Sickness and diseases are not from God. When you submit to God He takes them away from you. Exodus 23:25 –“You shall serve the Lord your God; He shall bless your bread and water, and I will take sickness from your midst.” Read more

Why Submission to God Part 1

Hi. Jesus loves you

Why should you submit to God? What would you gain by submitting to God? There are two forces operating on earth – the good and the bad. And whichever force you submit to controls your life, (Romans 6:16). This article gives reasons why submission to God is a better choice.

We are creatures of choices and our choices determine our today and tomorrow. Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) says, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live:”

God is associated with good and life. When you choose God, you choose good and life. Many people think that to submit to God is to submit to bondage and misery, but the case is the very opposite. Submission to God offers freedom and happiness. What else?

Reasons to submit to God
  1. Empowerment – God certainly is far higher than the devil and submitting to God is to be empowered to operate in the same level with God. Daniel 11:32 (KJV) says, “...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
  2. Success – God is a God of success. When you yield to God you become exposed to God’s kind of success. Joshua 1:8 (AMP) – “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” Read more...

Is The Bible a Necessary Part of a Relationship With God

The question is “does one really need the bible to walk with God?” it can also be asked this way, “what does a relationship with God entail?” To be able to answer the question one has to understand what the bible is. An understanding of what the bible is will determine whether it is a necessary part of a relationship with God.

The bible is the word of God. It is the manual from the creator to the created on how to live successfully with joy and peace on earth created by Him. It is the book that describes the nature of God, His ways and acts to the people made in His own image. The bible is a complete biography of God and His relationship with Man. It tells of His supremacy and love for mankind.

Paul describes the bible as follows in 2 Timothy 3:16, “All scripture (the bible – emphasis mine) is given by the inspiration OF God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (KJV)

Therefore, the bible is a necessary part of a relationship with God. Just like you can’t operate a new machine unknown to you without the manual so also you cannot relate with God without the bible. The bible answers any question you will ever have. It gives solution to any challenge you will ever be faced with. It is able to do these because they are the words of God who is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. Read more...

The Will Of God For the Wicked

What is the will of God for sinners? Many times people think they know the will of God concerning certain things when they are actually ignorant of it. But God has written His will concerning EVERY issue in His word. This article is about God’s will for the wicked.

The bible (the word of God) is full of God’s mind for everything. A study of the bible reveals the will of God for any sinner. And ignorance has made some people to condemn unbelievers. And some of the wicked, not being aware of God’s strong desire for them, have tagged themselves unqualified for God’s kingdom.

God’s will for the wicked is that they be saved. Let’s look at 2 passages on God’s will for sinners:

·         Ezekiel 33:11 (KJV) - Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

·         Mathew 18:12-14 (KJV) - How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. (Emphasis is mine) Read more..
