BIBLE STUDY – LUKE CHAPTER ELEVEN

Please, do watch the video to listen to the reading of the chapter to understand better.

Verse 2-4

According to the Lord's Prayer:

  • God has to be your Father first
  • Then you kick off with praise
  • Pray for His kingdom to be established on earth
  • And His will to be done on earth too
  • Focus on God's business before you start asking for your desires to be met by God
  • Also know that God is committed to your daily meals
  • And you should allow tomorrow to think about itself
  • Furthermore, you're never to worry, though you should plan well.
  • Finally, you must clear yourself of all sins and ensure that you forgive others, for God to forgive you too

Verse 8-12

Ask God until you receive your desires in Christ. This is because if you ask it will be given to you. And when you seek, you will find. Also when you knock, it will be opened to you

Verse 13

Certainly, our Heavenly Father will always do better than our earthly fathers. So, put your trust in Him.

Verse 16-20

You have nothing to prove to the world as a child of God. No matter what you do, they will find faults. So, let no man push you to sin against God. Rather, let your life and works speak Christ and for you.

Verse 21-23

Be strong and fully armed in Christ, who is the strongest of all forces. Otherwise, your weapons can't save you when a stronger man comes upon you. And know that you can't be indifferent; you're either for Christ or for the enemy.

Verse 24-26

It's important that you continuously feed on God's word and follow up new converts. This is to ensure that there's no vacuum in your lives that will attract the enemy. For, the enemy's return to your lives will make you worse than you were before your salvation. Read more...

BIBLE STUDY – LUKE CHAPTER TEN

Please, do watch the video to listen to the reading of the chapter to understand better.

Verse 1

Christ sent them out two by two. This is very important, that as much as possible don't go alone to share the word, at least go with one person. And there are many reasons for this; one I believe is for your security both physically and otherwise.

Verse 2

We're encouraged to pray that labourers be sent to the field. Truly, no one can be saved except someone preaches to him. And people are in situations where they're looking for solutions and ways out of their predicament. And Christ is the way, the truth and the life.

Verse 3

You're encouraged to go like a lamb, not harming anyone you approach. You're to be a blessing and not a curse.

Verse 5

Surely, there's power in your words. So, when you get to a place and declare peace unto the house, the peace of God will rest on that house.

Verse 7

The labourer is worthy of his hire, so, expect God to reward you for your services in His kingdom. And always remember that God owes no man.

Verse 9

We're sent to heal; for total health is one attribute of the kingdom of God. Certainly, sickness and diseases have no place in heaven, and so should not be associated with children of God. Read more.

BIBLE STUDY – LUKE CHAPTER NINE

Please, do watch the video to listen to the reading of the chapter to understand better.

Verse 1-2

God has given us the authority to go and preach the gospel to all men and heal the sick. This assignment is not just for apostles, but for everyone.

Verse 3-5

We have been told to go and preach the gospel to everyone. However, we should not be disturbed when some people don't receive Christ. Our work is to preach with faith to them, but it's theirs to receive Christ. And if they don't it will be between them and God, and surely, they will not make heaven.

Verse 6 -10

The disciples did exactly what Jesus asked them to do. And when they returned, they gave an account of their work. Surely, it's important to have someone (spiritually qualified) for you to be accountable to. This will help you to be sure you're on the right track.

Verse 11

Each time the people went to Jesus, He shared the word with them and healed their sick. So also, we should always be ready, in season and out of season, to share the good news and be used by God to heal the sick.

Verse 12 - 17

Man is always limited but not God. Surely, Christ will always have the answers to all challenges you may ever have. However, you're to go to Him in faith, expecting Him to deliver your answers to you. And there is no impossibility with Him, for with five loaves and two fishes, Christ fed five thousand men. BIBLE STUDY – LUKE CHAPTER SEVEN

Verse 2-3

This is a good example of a master loving his servant. How dear are your helpers to you? Truly, we should have good relationships with our helpers or subordinates.

Verse 4-5

The goodness you show to people will cause you to find favour before God and man.

Verse 9

Truly, the centurion manifested great faith. We need to grow to this point where we believe God's words and act on them without doubting. And not to be looking for men and women of God to lay hands on us or visit us. This is not wrong though, but we need to build up ourselves too.

Verse 11-17

As usual, Christ went about doing good. And His compassion for the widow moved Him to call back the young man into his body; thereby, causing great joy in that family and community. This is what God wants us to be doing too; causing great joy in the hearts of many people, including widows.

Verse 23

You should not be offended in God no matter what. For you need Him more than anything else to succeed and overcome in this world. Unfortunately, John, the forerunner of Christ developed doubts at the last stage of his walk on earth. May this not be our portion in Jesus name. Read more...
