5 Important Reasons Why You Should Be An Active Christian

Are you actively engaged as a Christian? Christianity does not end with salvation; rather it's a journey, which continues till you go to meet with the Lord. So, while you're alive on earth you must be an active Christian. This post gives you 5 important reasons why you should be an active Christian.

Introduction

Many Christians are not active in the kingdom of God. Truly, they have received Christ as their Lord and Saviour, and that's all. As such, they're not vessels of honour in the house of God and are not available for God to use them. Rather, they're the people you consider as bench warmers in the church. These come to church to feed only and go home, without making any impact or contribution to another person's life. Yet, God says that we should occupy till He comes (Luke 19:13)

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come - Luke 19:13 (KJV).

What Does It Mean To Be An Active Christian?

This is to actively occupy yourself serving God, in full capacity as endowed on you by the Lord. This means representing the Father anywhere you find yourself, in words and action. Also, it's to be the Master's hand and legs on earth, ready to do whatever or go wherever He tells you. Again, it's to be His agent winning souls into the kingdom. And you're to do these not as convenient but as needed or demanded. As such active Christianity is to occupy yourself with God's business till He comes or calls you home.

5 IMPORTANT REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BE AN ACTIVE CHRISTIAN

1. You're a worker in God's business on earth

God is running a time limited business of soul winning on earth and He has recruited every believer into this business. And all you need to qualify is to receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour. And as a business, He expects profits in form of multiples of saved souls. So, any Christian that is not profitable is in danger of being thrown into the outer darkness. Read more...

The 7 Reasons To Fellowship With Other Children Of God

Are you actively fellowshipping with other believers? The place of fellowship in the life of a believer cannot be overlooked. This is because the success and victory of a Christian lie greatly in his or her fellowship with other Christians. This post gives the 7 reasons to fellowship with other children of God.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching - Hebrews 10:25 (NKJV).

Introduction

Every Christian needs some person(s) to hold his or her hands in this race. This is because those who walk alone get attacked and are defeated easily. However, two people can withstand the enemy, and three persons are not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Therefore, it's important that we don't walk alone. However, it's equally vital, that you walk with like minds if you want their influence to affect you positively. So, as a believing Christian, you're to fellowship with other believing Christians, and not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14).

The 7 Reasons To Fellowship With Other Children Of God

1. It Is Commanded

The scripture in Hebrews 10:25 tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. And if we're truly children of God who love Him, we will obey this instruction. Also, remember that the Lord's instructions are for our good, and are peaceable fruits to those trained by it (Hebrews 12:11).

2. We're Not Made An Island

God structured man to need one another. And God buttressed this many times in scriptures by instructing them to walk together with a minimum of two by two. This is such that what one lacks the other(s) will supply. Again, it eliminates to a great extent, if not completely, the challenge of loneliness (Genesis 2:18). Read more...

How To Behave Like A Christian O Child Of God!

Are you a believing Christian by word of mouth or by your fruits? Or are you a Christian just because you go to church? Christ stated clearly that you will know them by their fruits. Therefore, if you are a believing Christian, you’re to behave like one. This post tells you how to behave like a Christian O child of God.

You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them – Matthew 7:16-20 (NKJV).

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks – Luke 6:45 (NKJV).

Introduction

A person is not known as a ‘Christian’ just by his or her religion. Rather a true Christian is known by his or her fruits. Therefore, bring forth fruit that depicts you as a Christian if you’re one. The disciples were first called Christians because they were behaving like Christ. So also, people will acknowledge you as a true Christian when you behave like Christ.

Who Is A Christian?

A true Christian is a person who has accepted Christ as his or her Lord and personal saviour and behaves like Him. That is, the person is a born-again child of God and does what pleases the Father as Jesus did.

How To Know A Christian

He or she is known by his or her words and actions. This is because from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). And as a man thinks so is he (Proverbs 23:7). Therefore, you’re known as a believer and disciple of Christ by your lifestyle. Read more...
