The Holy Spirit-My Closest Friend And Guide

Who is your closest friend or guide? We all have friends but they are not all on the same level of friendship, some are closer than others and one is closer than the rest. However, there is a personality that is closer to me than any friend that I may ever have, and He is the Holy Spirit. In this post I will be sharing more on the Holy Spirit as my closest friend and guide.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" - Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come - John 16:13 (NKJV).

I have many friends but none is dear to me as the Holy Spirit. My human friends are wonderful and very helpful, but I won't trade the Holy Spirit for any of them. My friends are so limited in their ability to help and guide me. They don't stay with me all the time, they have other things to do too and they can only help me up to the level of knowledge they have.

On the other hand, the Holy Spirit is always with me 24/7. God said He will never leave nor forsake us in Hebrews 13:5. This He has done in the person of the Holy Spirit. He is our Guide that leads us according to the will of God and His unlimited wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He goes with me everywhere I go, so I can reach out for His help any time I want.

He has ears and eyes, so He hears and sees me. His hands are ever available to deliver me from any challenge. He being God is also the Alpha and the Omega, and so is in best position to guide me. He has the answers to all my questions and solutions to the challenges that come my way. Read more...

Ultimate Helper-My Help Is From The Lord Who Made Heaven And Earth

Where do you first run to when you need help? Where you run to first to get help shows where your faith lies. It is important that you go first to the one who is truly capable to help you out. This post is aimed at directing you to the ultimate Helper.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth - Psalms 121:1-2 (NKJV).

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need - Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV).

People, most of the time, run first to men they believe are capable of helping them; maybe for their money, position or power. Unfortunately, they are so limited that they ought not to be the number one person to run to. They could die any moment; lose their jobs, positions or money. Also, their selfish nature can be a stumbling block when you need them and they can be negatively influenced by another person against you. Also, they are limited by the information available to them.

On the other hand, God Almighty, who made heaven and earth, is able to help you better than any other person or force. He indeed is the ultimate helper. He is not limited in any way. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Creator of the universe and knows the end from the beginning. The hearts of kings are in His hands and He turns them wherever He wants (Proverbs 21:1). There is nothing impossible with Him (Luke 1:37), and to crown it all, He promised to help us (Isaiah 41:10). Read more...

Understanding The Giving Grace

Are you a giver? Giving should be a way of life but it is not so with many people because of the economic situation of the nations, wrong attitude to money and selfishness. Some people would love to give freely but lack the power to do so. But with the giving grace, it is easy to give cheerfully and with joy. This article tells you what you need to know about this giving grace.

About the giving grace of God

1. God is the source
Giving is an attribute of God. Man naturally is selfish and always wants to be on the receiving side. But for you to give as a way of life, you need the grace of God. God is able to make the giving grace come on you abundantly.

2. It is a gift
The grace to give is a gift from God not a wage. God gives it to whoever desires freely. You do not have to work for it to be given to you, just reach out and receive it. Paul calls it unspeakable, indescribable, inexpressible, free gift.

3. It is not a function of how much money one has
Many wealthy people are stingy. They would rather die than give. Yet, a seemingly poor man with the giving grace will still give out of his poverty. The good news is that giving is a covenant practice for prosperity. Give your way to abundance.

4. It is an expression of love
Having this amazing grace to give enables you to prove the sincerity of your love easily without hesitating or grudging. By this grace, Jesus was able to strip Himself of His riches so that through his poverty we might be rich, all because of His awesome love for us.
