Signs And Wonders-Products Of Teaching And Preaching The Word Of God

Do you desire signs and wonders to be done through your hands? This is a good desire; however there are certain things that you need to do to see the manifestation of signs and wonders in your life. This post tells you one of such things, which is teaching and preaching the word of God.

And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen - Mark 16:20 (NKJV).

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover - Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV).

Many believing Christians desire to see manifestation of signs and wonders in their lives but they are afraid, shy or ashamed to teach and preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. They wonder what people would say if they see them carrying bibles and preaching the word of God, yet the gospel of Christ is the power unto salvation (Romans 1:16), therefore it must be preached for people to be saved.

Signs and wonders are what follow those who believe in Jesus: they can cast out devils, lay hands on the sick and they will recover, pick up serpents and drink any deadly thing and they will not be hurt, also, they will be able to speak with new tongues. Believing in the Lord qualifies you to have signs manifested through you. However, these manifestations are not merely for personal benefits, they are for the furtherance of the gospel of Christ. Deriving Joy From The Word Of God

Do you know that the word of God is a major source of joy to your soul? Every word of the Lord received never leaves you the same. A word from Him daily keeps you going all through the day. This post encourages you to go for the joy from the word of the Almighty God.

Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts - Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV).

I rejoice at your word as one who finds great treasure - Psalms 119:162 (NKJV).

People are discouraged, frustrated and dismayed because they don't have the needed word from God. The Lord created the whole world and upholds all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3), including man. Therefore, for you to be at your best you have to be maintained by the Lord's words.

God's word cleanses and makes whole (Ephesians 5:26). It builds up joy in your heart, which works in your body like medicine (Proverbs 17:22). The word of the Lord when received is like acquiring great treasures that will lift you and make your life comfortable. There is so much joy when you believe and apply the word of God in your life; it is your manual for a joyous and successful life.

The word of the Lord is so potent because He is the Creator of the universe, the Alpha and the Omega, who knows the end from the beginning and sees what you don't see. He has been and will remain even after all have gone. His word is final in heaven (Lamentations 3:37), on earth and beneath the earth, and nothing can challenge His word (Isaiah 14:27). Therefore have faith in God and His word (Mark 11:22). Read more...

The Power Of Naming Your Day

How would you want your day to be? How you begin a day, to a great deal, determines how it will end. And you being a product of God's mastermind have the power to stir your day on your desired path with the use of your mouth. What you call your day is what it will answer. This post gives the importance of speaking forth what you want to see every day of your life.

A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:20-21 (NKJV)

Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name - Genesis 2:19 (NKJV)

Naming your every day is the secret of a victorious life in this world.

It is one of the mysteries of earthly dominion. Like Adam, whatever you call your day is what it will bear. It is a statement that gives a glimpse of what your day will be or a prayer that the day should live up to the potential expressed. Calling your day a name establishes your control over the day. You are not leaving it to chance.

You are filled from the produce of your lips and the fruits of your mouth determine how satisfied you will be with your day. Furthermore, death and life are in the power of the tongue and wise use of it will cause you to experience victory, success, good health and prosperity every day of your life - Proverbs 18:20-21. And Jesus said in Luke 21:15 that He would give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. So, use it and enjoy dominion every day.

Naming your day is prophesying into that day and you will have whatsoever you say - Mark 11:23. This is an instrument of dominion that is often neglected to the detriment of your everyday success in life. You need to name your day, so that God will subdue your enemies and turn His hands against your adversaries - Psalm 81:10-14.  Read more...

This Is The Day The Lord Has Made

What is your expectation of this day? Are you all out for the best or worse? Your understanding of what the day holds for you determines to a great extent what will actually come to you and how you will respond to it. However, your understanding of the day depends on your understanding that this is day the Lord has made.
This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it - Psalms 118:24 (NKJV).

But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day - Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV).

For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off - Proverbs 23:18 (NKJV).

Many people start the day sad, frustrated and unexcited, all based on the happenings of the past.
They expect the devil to continue from where he stopped, or for men to continue their wickedness against them, as if they made the day. But, the truth is that this is the day the Lord has made!

Everything the Lord made, He ensured it was very good. When He made Adam and considered it not good for him to be alone (Genesis 2:18), He went ahead to make Eve so as to make them very good as other creations of His. The Almighty is a God of purpose and an unbeatable planner. Every day He creates is for a purpose, well planned and for your good. It is made as a shining light to shine brighter by the day. Furthermore, all things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28).

Faith in God's words concerning the day He made will cause you to start the day with great excitement. It is the Lord that made the day, so rejoice and be glad in it; expect the will of God to prevail in it. If yesterday didn't go well, believe God to help you sort out the issues and go on rejoicing knowing full well that it will turn into a testimony for you. Paul said in Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice! Again I say rejoice." Laughter is not expected to depart from your habitation. Read more...

That Day Must Not Come On You Unexpectedly

Are you living with the consciousness of life after now? How ready are you for the day of the Lord? Many Christians are living as if some parts of God's word will not be fulfilled, while others are living as if God will wait for them to enjoy the world first and then repent before Jesus comes back again. Unfortunately, these ones are only deceiving themselves; God will come at a time you will not know. This post encourages you to take heed to yourself so that that day doesn’t come on you unexpectedly.

But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life and that Day come on you unexpectedly. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man - Luke 21:34, 36 (NKJV).

What is your ultimate goal in life as a Christian? Your answer determines how you'll live your life. A Christian whose ultimate goal is to spend eternity with the Father will live his or her life as the wise virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) who had enough oil in their lamps while waiting for the coming of the bridegroom. The person lives as if the day of the Lord can be the next minute and so is not entangled with the things of this world.

Jesus warns in Luke 21:34 that we should be careful not to allow the cares of this life, the fleshly desires and challenges of life to hinder us from being prepared for the day of the Lord. Many Christians indulge so much in meeting their physical and mental needs that they pay little or no attention to their spiritual needs; they are so occupied with what to eat, drink and wear, position, fame and possessions that they have no time for God. They easily forget the question Christ asked in Matthew 16:26, "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his soul?" Read more...
