The Power In The Word Of God

For how long can you hold unto the word of God? God’s word is able to deliver whatever it says it would do. The question is do you believe it to the point of holding unto it till it delivers? This post aims at pointing out how powerful the word of the Lord is.

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it – Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV).

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart – Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV).

The word of the Lord shall accomplish what He pleases and it must prosper in whatsoever He had sent it. The issue is you believing that it will be so in your own life. Many people believe the threats of the enemy more than what the Almighty had said. The words of the enemy will not work on you except you believe it just like God’s word will not work for you except you believe it.

Where there is faith, the word of Christ will never fail, even if it tarries. It has the ability to attend to every part of you, everything that concerns you spirit, soul and body. It is living, powerful and very sharp, nothing touches it and remains the same. Every word of God received is a done deal, even if it takes a while for it to be accomplished.

Abraham received the word that he would have a son at 75 years, he believed it and did not waver with unbelief until it was accomplished in his life at the age of 100 years (Romans 4:16-21). He was too sure that the Lord’s word was able to deliver. He also received the word that he and his descendants would become great even when he had no child and it was so. When the Almighty God demanded Isaac for a sacrifice, he obeyed immediately believing that He is able to raise Isaac anyhow since the promise was with Isaac. He believed every word he heard from God and they were all accomplished in his life, this earned him the name ‘the father of faith.” Read more...

Are Your Heart Desires Fulfilled Now?

Are you done with or on the way to the fulfillment of the prophecies over your life, or have you given up? The fulfillment of God's word in your life depends on your faith and your covenant walk with Him. God is a covenant keeping God and will not fail on His part. Therefore, there is need for you to reflect on the past months and examine whether you are on course or not.

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified - II Corinthians 13:5 (NKJV).

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus - Philippians 3:14 (NKJV).

At the beginning of the year, you had a list of things you desired God to fulfill in your life, including prophecies you heard or read from God and His word. You started off with great expectation and assurance of the fulfillment of them all. How far have you gone with them?

Every prophecy from the Lord is to be fulfilled. His word will not go back to Him without accomplishing what He sent it to do (Isaiah 55:11). Also, what He says He does (Numbers 23:19). So, if a prophecy is not fulfilled, the problem is not from God for He is a covenant keeping God (Psalm 89:34) and He watches over His words to fulfill them (Jeremiah 1:12).

Are they fulfilled?
If the prophecies are fulfilled already, I rejoice with you. Your testimonies shall lead to the testimonies of many others. This act of God must have increased your faith in Him. As such I encourage you to take a leap of faith and reach out for more from God; a request in faith surely gets the Lord's attention.

Are you tired?
Peradventure, it seems as if this word of God is taking time in being fulfilled and you are growing weary, I encourage you to hold on to the Father and His word. Be strong in the Lord not in your might (Ephesians 6:10), don't lean on your own understanding of how it will be fulfilled (Proverbs 3:5). Has God said it? Read more...

The Family Life Of An Ordained Worker

The family life of an ordained worker is very important to God and to the devil. It determines the extent to which he or she can be used of God. 1 Timothy 3:4-5 make it clear that if a man does not know how to rule his own house that he won't be able to take care of the church of God. God will not give His sheep to a shepherd who will scatter or devour them. Therefore, it is important that an ordained worker starts his work from home, to train his family in the way of the Lord. Charity begins at home.

God testified of Abraham that he would command his children to keep the way of the Lord, that God may bring upon Abraham that which He had spoken of him; which was to make him a great and mighty nation. Based on this testimony, Abraham qualified to know what plans God had for Sodom (Genesis 18:16-21).

Definitions
  1. Ordained Worker - A person on whom holy orders have been conferred. He is consecrated to perform various activities in the church.
  2. Family life - This is the routine interactions and activities that a family has together. It is the kind of life a person normally leads when one is married and has children.
The Family Life
Therefore, the family life of an ordained worker is the kind of life he leads when he is married and has children. The kind of relationship he has with his family. It is expected that he is a good husband or wife and a good parent to his or her children, a role model to the family.
Therefore, an ordained worker
  • Loves or submits to the spouse - Ephesians 5:21-26
  • Provides for the family: spiritual, physical and emotional needs - 1 Timothy 5:8
  • Cares for the family - Proverbs 31:15, 27
  • Trains the children in the way of the Lord - Proverbs 22:6
  • Does not provoke the children to wrath - Ephesians 6:4
  • Rules the home well - 1 Timothy 3:4-5
  • Is a role model to the family - Philippians 2:5-11.  Read more

Engaging God's Speed As Against Human And Devil’s Speed

Whose speed are you engaging to get to your desired position? Everyone desires to get to their topmost top as fast as possible, but the means of getting there which you employ determines whether you will ever get there, the state in which you do and how long you can sustain the position. This post encourages you to go by God's speed.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth - Psalms 121:1-2 (NKJV).

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise - Hebrews 10:36 (KJV).

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness... - II Peter 3:9 (NKJV).
Everyone wants a better life for himself or herself. But some people may never do anything to change their status, while others will. However, those who will do something will engage different means to achieve their goal: some will engage God's speed, some will employ human speed and others will use devil's speed.

Human Speed
Many a time, people consider God's speed as being slow. They would rather use human connections and wisdom to speed up the success process. They may use bribery and corruption, seduction, blackmail, and falsehood to get what they want. Some may choose not to go that way as Christians, but they will cut down their activities with God: they may stop paying their tithes, stop going to or serving in the church to have more time to do their own things. Unfortunately, these acts will expose them to the attacks of the enemy.

Human speed is grossly limited and mostly anti-scriptural and will eventually land the person into both spiritual and physical troubles.  When you engage this speed, you can't go beyond your ability as a human being and you will act devoid of love towards your neighbour. This speed is characterized by dissatisfaction, anxiety, health issues, building up of enemies and fear

Devil's Speed.
Sadly, some people will engage diabolical means to get what they want. This is selling their birthright for a morsel of bread. It is living in bondage for a temporary satisfaction of fleshly desires. There is nothing good the enemy can ever give you. If he gives you one thing, he will take it back and much more. He does not like any human being, people made in the image of God. Any promise of good is a disguise of evil.  The interesting thing is that anything gotten from the enemy is never sustained and the curse is generational. Read more...
