A Simple Revelation of the Winning Team

Light or darkness, which one is your choice? These two choices or forces are constantly in a combat with one another for control over human beings. The good news is that the determining factor is actually the human beings. They choose who has control over them. This post is to help you identify the winning team to vote for.

Why are these forces always fighting for the souls of men? This is because men are in search of supernatural powers for protection, powers and wealth. They understand that they need a higher power than what humans can offer. Now, light and darkness are supernatural but one is greater than the other. Examining them closely, you will discover the winning team.

Let’s start by defining the two forces.

Light is something that makes things visible or affords illumination while darkness is absence or deficiency of light. In other words, darkness has no definition of its own but takes its definition in relation to light. Light connotes good, while darkness connotes evil, lack of knowledge or enlightenment and lack of insight.

An understanding of darkness should make anyone choose light but many people would rather go for darkness. Why? Darkness promises and offers so much with little or no effort. But what those people don’t realise is that NOTHING IS FREE! Initially, the cost may be very little but the subsequent cost is more than you can ever bear. Not everything that glitters is gold. The devil (thief) has no good in mind for his followers. His mission is to steal, kill and destroy whatever they have.

Darkness offers immediate gratification but eats up the victim afterwards. Darkness helps people not to be truthful to themselves to their own detriment.  It gives them a covering to hide their secrets. I will prove this to you by asking you a question. That thing you don’t want people to ever find out, because the revelation of it may destroy you or someone else, when or where do you do it – under light or in the dark?

Light on the other hand exposes everything done in the dark, no matter how long it had been. Shine light on anything hidden and everyone will see it. A flicker of light drives darkness away. Darkness, once light comes, must give way to light. Darkness wins in any area only because there is no introduction of light, no matter how small.  Read more...

A Cry For The Holy Spirit

Have you ever felt lonely and desired a friend who will accept you as you are? Or have you ever felt like being alone but still desired to talk to a higher personality? I know who fits well to who you desire to fellowship with; He is the Holy Spirit. This post tells you why the Spirit of God is your best helper.

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you - John 14:26 (AMP)

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come- John 16:13 (NKJV)

Once in a while people get to a point where they wish they are like God Almighty: omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. They wish that with the wave of their hands, everything will align according to their plans. And sometimes, the circumstances will be so frustrating that you won't want to see another soul for some time. If you are in such a state you need the Spirit of God.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity (1 John 5:7), comprising God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is the force behind creation (Genesis 1:2) and the administrator of all God's plans, and is presently full-time on earth to represent Jesus and act on His behalf (John 14:26, AMP).

The Spirit of the Lord is here to comfort you, counsel, help, intercede, advocate and strengthen you. He is also your standby that will never disappoint or fail you. Every other person or thing may fail you but not the Spirit of God, who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.

He is the voice deep down you telling you that all will be well. And He being the Spirit of truth (John 1:13) will never tell you a lie or deceive you. You can rely on Him absolutely! He is the perfect guide for He knows the end from the beginning (Revelations 22:13). He will teach you all things (John 14:26), including how to solve that problem and show you things to come (John 16:13), so no need for guess-work or trial and error. Read more...

How The Holy Spirit Empowers You For Good Works

It is good to do good works and glorify the name of God. But how do you ensure that your works are good and acceptable before God? Acceptable works not only imparts lives at the present but also continues to speak long after you've gone. This post gives the place of the Holy Spirit in doing great works.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him - Acts 10:38 (NKJV)

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead - James 2:14-17 (NKJV)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them - Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

Jesus Christ was known for His good works and while on earth, He told His disciples in John 14:12, that anybody who believes in Him will not only do what He was doing but would do greater works because He was going to His Father. Christ departed to the father and the Holy Spirit, the Helper was sent to believers (John 16:7, Acts 2:1-4).

What are good works?
Good works comprise your everyday activities, Evangelical and charitable activities and signs and wonders that are good before God. They are not just good deeds but also your daily conduct before God: your thoughts, words and actions. They are things that are pleasing and acceptable before God.
They are your witnesses to the unbelievers, edifying examples to your fellow Christians and ways of representing Christ wherever you may be. They are proofs of your faith in Christ, for faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead (James 2:14-17); and without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 6:11) Read more...

Victory Of Jesus A Reality By The Help Of The Holy Spirit

Do you desire help in your endeavour? I recommend the help of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ enjoyed His help tremendously and was able to fulfill His mission on earth successfully and without stress. The Holy Spirit is the administrator of God's will on earth and so is the best authority to consult in all issues concerning your life. This post tells the impact of His work in Christ's mission on earth.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him - Acts 10:38 (NKJV)
For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure - John 3:34 (NKJV)

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." - Acts 1:4, 8 (NKJV)

Jesus started and ended on earth with the help of the Holy Spirit. Redemption was purely master-minded by the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (the Trinity). God the Father planned it (Genesis 3:15), God the Son (Jesus) executed it (Matthew 1:21) and God the Holy Spirit will bring it to completion (Ephesians 4:30).

Long before the birth of Christ, the Holy Spirit through the prophets prophesied (2 Peter 1:21) all about Jesus: His birth, mission, crucifixion, death and resurrection - Isaiah 9:6-7, Isaiah 52:13-53:12, Zechariah 12:10, Psalm 16:8-11 and Psalm 22. He started with Christ on earth from the very beginning, continued with Him till He departed the earth and remained on earth to perfect the redemption agenda. He continued with the disciples of Jesus and is still helping Christian believers today.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit
  • Conception
Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God came upon Mary, and the power of God overshadowed her so that the child born was called Son of God - Luke 1:35. The child was born and He grew and became strong in the Spirit - Luke 2:40. Read more...

The Power Of The Words of Jesus

Jesus started with the word and will end with the word. An understanding of how powerful Jesus' words are will give you peace and victory in life. It will make you a master over the enemy and challenges of life.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made - John 1:1-3 (NKJV)

He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God's] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power... - Hebrews 1:3 (AMP, emphasis mine)

And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh - Revelations 19:19, 21 (NKJV, emphasis mine)

Jesus Christ is the Word
John 1:1 and Revelation 19:13 tell you that Jesus is the word of God. You can't separate Christ from His word. Jesus is the word of God that became flesh and dwelt among men - John 1:14
An understanding of this truth will help you realize that the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation speak Christ. For example the lifted brazen serpent in the time of Moses represented Jesus on the cross - John 3:14. Everyone that looked upon the serpent was healed of the snake bite and lived - Numbers 21:9. So also, anyone who believes on the lifted Christ will not perish but have eternal life - John 3:15
Furthermore, Christ also confirmed it in John 5:46-47 (NKJV), when He said, "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?" The scriptures and Christ's words are one. Christ is the word of God and all the books of the bible, including the books of Moses, talk about Him. An understanding of this will give you clearer meaning of what is written in the scriptures.

Created the world by His word
God created the world by His word. Throughout the history of creation, you will keep seeing 'God said... and it was so' - Genesis 1. God spoke the universe into existence; by His spoken words, everything came to be. All things were made through Christ (the word), and without Him nothing was made that was made (John 1:3), whether visible or invisible, thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him (Colossians 1:16). Read more...
