One Step At A Time

Can you image a child learning how to walk today and tomorrow he is driving? I know you can’t imagine it. But that is what many people expect God to do for them. They want to take giant steps beyond God’s way. One step at a time is God’s style and it always gets you to the peak if you stick to the Lord. This article gives the reasons why this way of the Almighty is the best approach to life.

A bishop then must be blameless…not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil – 1 Timothy 3:2, 6 (emphasis mine, NKJV)

But the word of the Lord was to them, “Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little,” Isaiah 28:13

I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land – Exodus 23:29-30 (NKJV)

Multiple promotions are desirable but not at the detriment of one’s future or destiny. A father, no matter how much he loves his six year old boy, will not allow him to drive his car. Also, no pupil starts primary one or standard one today and next session he is in the secondary school. It is always one step at a time. This is God’s way and God, our creator, is the originator of this way.

Every newborn baby always starts with milk and gradually graduates to solids (1 Peter 2:2). This principle applies both to spiritual and physical growth. Also, in leadership positions, whether spiritual or physical, nobody puts a novice in leadership position. Everyone needs to grow into any new and higher position. Read more...

Cure For Complaining And Murmuring

How can I ever stop complaining and murmuring? Everyday has a load of opportunities to complain or murmur. Your response when they are presented to you determines the rest of the day and most times your life. It is your choice to respond positively, and for you to constantly make the right choice you need a thankful heart. This article depicts a thankful heart as a cure for complaining.

“nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer” – 1 Corinthians 10:10 (NKJV)

A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones – Proverbs 17:22 (NKJV)

Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world – Philippians 2:14-15 (NKJV)

How many times have you complained or murmured today? How far has it helped you or affected your attitude? You will agree with me that it is not good for anyone. Murmuring and complaining only open the door for the destroyer to come in. It comes to destroy your peace, home, relationships and health.

A life of complaint breeds from a heart void of gratitude and contentment. It leads to fault finding and dissatisfaction, wipes off smile from your face and replaces it with a frown and pointed lips, and dries up your bones. It makes you not to remember or see the good things about your spouse, family, colleague, work place or environment.

However, a thankful heart sees every reason to thank God in everybody and every situation. It is a cure for complaining. A heart of gratitude appreciates every little thing good around her and magnifies that above any negative thing; thereby attracting good to herself. Read more...

God Is Fearful In Praises!

Have you ever seen God in action when He is given heartfelt praise? God does wonders when you give him quality praise; He does what will make your mouth drop down with a big WOW! God is really fearful in praises when you sing from a heart of love. This article aims to provoke you into giving God praise that will move Him to action in your direction.

Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11 (NKJV)

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV)

The cheapest way to get God’s attention is through praise. This is because God inhabits the praises of His people – Psalm 22:3. And He doesn’t just accept your praises; He releases great blessings in the process.
When you give God quality praise, He does things that will make people, including your enemies to tremble. The Lord does fearful things. This is for men to fear Him (Ecclesiastes 3:14) and recognize that He indeed is the God Almighty.

In this article I will share some testimonies that made me to marvel and say, “truly God does fearful wonders when praised.”

First, I will start with Paul and Silas. They praised God to the point that the foundations of the prison literally shook and everyone’s chains were loosed. Praise unto God makes the impossible possible. Whatever chains around you, your family or destiny, will always give way when God comes to receive your praise.

Secondly, A Christian lady’s sister was kidnapped for evil intentions. During that period, she was attending a bible school and that day the topic was on how God does fearful wonders when praised by men. And when she caught that revelation, there and then, she started praising God and her neighbor complained but she continued quietly till the end of the class. Read more...
