Overcoming The Storm Of Life In Marital Life (Part 2)

Today, this article gives the concluding part of the above topic. Storms are real but the good news is that you can overcome them. As a couple in Christ, you are well equipped to win the battle. Remain one, spirit, soul and body, and your victory is assured.

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. Ecclesiastes 4:9 (kJV)

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 18:19 (KJV)

7.          Declare the scriptures to that challenge and every wind of doubt
You will always have what you say. The storms of life and doubt have ears and will only disappear when you command them to do so according to the word of God. It is also a proof of your faith in God and His word.

8.       Refuse to listen to any comment contrary to God’s word.
The enemy will test the strength of the word of the Lord within you through people; even people with good intentions will be used. Your response to their comments will determine the intensity and duration of the storm.  Also, the enemy will try to steal the word in you because it is a weapon that will destroy his power over you and give you victory.

9.       Call yourselves names that emphasize the victory you would want to see
God changed Abram’s name to Abraham to reflect His plan to make him father of many nation. Also Jacob’s name was changed to Israel to reflect his new status with God. You have to call those things that be not as though they were for them to be. For example if the issue is barrenness, call one another daddy and mummy.

10.       Listen for God’s direction on what next to do
The Alpha and Omega knows the end from the beginning; he sees beyond what your eyes can see and has the solution to those challenges of life. Therefore, seek God’s face for the appropriate steps to take. Read more...

How To Love Yourself

Today I want to share an article from Tebogo Golowe. I learnt a lot from it and I believe you will too.
------------------------------------------------------------------
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself – Matthew 22:39 (KJV)

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself - Galatians 5:14 (KJV)

The law of love controls everything in the kingdom; it is the key to abundant living. The fastest way to fulfill the entire scripture is by the application of this rule. One proof that one loves God is by loving your neighbor. When you study Matthew 22:34-40, Galatians 5:14 and Luke 10:25-28, the implication is that for us to love our neighbor we must first love ourselves. It is absolutely impossible to love the second party without first loving yourself.  Therefore, if you love yourself, you love God and fulfill scriptures. We are made in His Image, so reality is that you and I just look like Him in Christ. When He is looking at us He sees Himself. He made us for His pleasure, to simply see Himself. Genesis 1:26

13 points that will help you fall in love with yourself and ultimately walk in love:

1.      Know that Jesus’ perfection was credited to your account. Your past and future are already well paid for. 2 Corinthians 5:21

2.      Pursue God with your all. It’s only by your knowing Him that you discover yourself. You cannot know who you are in Christ and fail to love yourself.

3.      Give yourself permission to be human. We err sometimes not because we are wicked but simply because we don’t have the perfect knowledge. However, this does not give us the go ahead to sin but to stop the enemy from tormenting us with guilt. Ask for forgiveness and move on.

4.      Celebrate yourself. Until you do so no one will. You are the perfect version of yourself and no one can be more perfect than you are. You are treated the way you treat yourself.

5.      Never equate yourself to the things you have. You are not a car, clothes or your body. All these things are simply a means to an end. Read more...

Joy unspeakable, is indeed the fruit of the Holy Spirit Joy is the second mentioned, out of nine fruit of the Spirit, (Gal 5:22).  It is the very nature of the  Holy Spirit A person who has the Spirit within him surely has the joy of the Holy Spirit. It is an evidence of the presence of the Spirit within an individual.  Joy in the Spirit is an inner feeling of pleasure and delight that can not be attributed to any happenings or circumstances around you, but to the relationship one has with the Spirit. It is an assurance of God's presence with you no matter the circumstances. It is what keeps you going when the storms of life are raging.

Sometimes, people confuse joy in the Spirit with happiness. Whereas happiness results from attainment of what one considers good, the joy of the Spirit results from an infilling of the Holy Spirit. Happiness is characterized by good luck or fortune. This means that when there is misfortune, happiness disappears and misery sets in - it is momentary. However, this is not the case with joy in the Spirit; even when there is a misfortune, the person is still joyful. Certainly, the person acknowledges the mishap but is not moved or discouraged by it.  Joy in the Spirit boosts one’s resilience.

Joy of the Spirit is first secured by accepting the Lord Jesus as your saviour. At salvation, you are filled with the Holy Spirit and you receive the joy of the spirit, (Rom 5:11, Psa 51:12). Subsequently, we are refilled repeatedly by dwelling in God's presence (Psa 16:11), in praise and worship (Psa 22:3), in the study of the Word (Jer 15:16) and in having fellowship with brethren (Matt 18:20). How To Use The Word Of God

Every problem is a wisdom problem – Mike Murdock. And the word of God is the wisdom of God made available for you to solve your problems. Therefore, it is most crucial that you learn how to use the word of God to address your problems. This article gives the steps on how to use it for your maximum benefit.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness – 2 Timothy 3:16

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success – Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith – Mark 11:23

Steps on how to use the word of God to solve problems

1.       Locate appropriate scriptures
The bible is the wisdom bank of God. Every problem has its wisdom solution situated within the scriptures. By the help of the Holy Spirit search out the appropriate scriptures that address your problems. They will tell you what God is saying about that problem and also give you your weapons of warfare. For example, if you need healing, search out scriptures that talk about healing.

2.       Meditate on them
Meditation makes the found scriptures to come alive within you. The word of God goes from written word to revelation when you meditate. It transfers head knowledge to spirit and life. Until the scriptures come alive in you, your use of them will be like empty cymbals. Meditation builds up your faith in God and His word. It gets you to the level where you know beyond every reasonable doubt that God will do what He said He will do.  Read more...
